Surprise!

Morning! I know second time this week and it's only Wednesday. Well, to be honest this will probably be my last entry this week. But I am glad I could do these two. Still feeling crappy. It's like someone is pulling my head from my back in a rubberband and just let it go and I have a bouncing head. Only 11 more days before I meet my new doc. Hope he is a wizard, or she. Going to a new place and have no clue of who I am going to see. A shot in the dark how to speak but it can't be worse than before. Ok, enough about this. It's just feels good to get it all out cause it's so frustrating!

The gift voucher
We have a new challenge up for you over at the Paper Shelter today and the theme is "Lace and Pearls". You have to use both on your card otherwise it won't be in the draw. As always we have a gift voucher worth $30 up for grabs if you play with a TPS product. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice.

My card then, well since my arms doesn't work so well at this moment I used an image I coloured earlier this summer for another challenge but didn't manage to finish it. It's a lovely image coloured with my letraset family. I like the idea of combining the tougher the subject with the motorcycle along with lace and pearls.

I used the sketch from Papertake Weekly as I needed some inspiration to get going. This card is also raised from the base with few layers. Designer papers are from Papermania and are called happy days.

This will be edited later on today as I have an appointment early this morning, didn't get my project totally done as my arms gave in... grrr never finishing anything lately. So no photo yet... On top of that I burned my arm earlier. Don't cook, anything when you can't really feel your hands. It's all covered in ice and "silver salva" (special lotion for horses and pets, all natural and super effective on any wounds) and hopefully it will be fine, in a week or two. LoL Lesson learned!

Edited: Didn't get away as planed, sick kid and had to stay at home instead. Actually didn't mind even if I feel sorry for Philip. Was good not having to go on the bus as they are fixing up the roads in town at the moment, and the busses are late and it all that comes with it. If he feel up to it later I will sit down with him and fix his summer memory for pre school. Have not been able to do that yet. But I actually feel a tiny bit better today, hope it's a good sign and that I can keep cool and don't overdo anything. Keep your fingers crossed!

Love n hugs
Marie

A recipe

Morning everone! How are you doing? Hope you feel so much better than I am, and that is probably not that hard. Still having the inflammation in the shoulder, and have to wait two more weeks before I get to see the new doctor. So I still keep away from the computer as much as I can as it get worse using it, but I am alive. Have not forgotten about you or my little blog.  Just not feeling very good dealing with it at the moment, but it comes to a point when you can't keep away anymore. LoL Like for example when we have a new challenge up for you over at Passion for Promarkers' challenge blog.

Sponsoring our challenge this week is Bugaboo Digital Stamps. This week it's a recipe up as our challenge. We want you to show us one image, three dp's, one sentiment and three different embellishments. Either three different ones or three in a total.

For my card have I used an image from Wee stamps and coloured her with my Letraset family in pink and green. She's paired up with some designer papers from NitWit collections called Heart Christmas. My three embellishments is flowers, pearls and a charm. My sentiment says Merry Christmas in Swedish. I wrote that by hand with two different pens for a bit of snow / ice effect. Didn't turn out exactly like I wanted it to but, it will do for now. :)

My card is layerd up on form dots just to make it a little extra special. As the design is really simple in itself. Now it's only about 38 Christmas cards left to make... :)

I hope to see you take part in our fun challenge and I hope I will be able to post a little more often than once every second week. Thanks for staying with me!

Love n hugs
Marie

Please ensure your card meets the required element to qualify for a winner or Top 5 slot.

PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE RULES BEFORE ADDING YOUR CREATION AND CHECK IT MEETS THE CRITERIA AS LAID OUT ABOVE - ANY ENTRY NOT COMPLYING WILL UNFORTUNATELY BE REMOVED

A new challenge up on the Paper Shelter,

I have kind of highjacked the post of the Paper Shelter this week. I have so much pain going on in my neck and left shoulder that I couldn't make any card for this weeks challenge. This is what we have to say over at the shelter:

Morning everyone! Hope you're all feeling fine and are ready for a new challenge here at the Paper Shelter. We're having horrible weather here in Sweden at the moment with lots of rain and thunder. I hope it passes soon and we get some sunshine again. Hope you are having a better weather than we do. And did you all see, we have passed 1100 followers. A big thank you to all of you !

And now, our theme of the week

"Use that Ribbon"

That means ribbon, not lace, not twine or anything like that. Ribbon it is, ok? Well of course you can use that stuff as well, but the ribbon needs to be there.

The gift voucher

As always we need a winner, either for our gift voucher worth $30 or for the three (3) digis you can win if you don't play with our brand. Our lucky winner this week is number #29 Kanda. And as you have been playing with a Paper shelter image, you have won the gift voucher worth $30! Big congrats! (I do love it when we got to give out these vouchers) LoL

Congratulations to you! Please contact the Paper Shelter by clicking the contact tab on the top of the page. It helps you get in contact with the Shelter. (I am so going to miss the little elf that took care of that before).

Before we move on, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Wendy who is now leaving the team due to personal issuses. You will be grately missed and I can never thank you enough for all you have done for the Paper Shelter. Please drop by from time to time!

Here comes a lovely collection of ribbon cards from my teamies. Non from me this time as I have been told by the doctor to keep my left arm still for a few days to give it a rest. I can hardly feel my hand. Not a cozy situation that's for sure. Wendy doesn't have a card for this challenge either but the rest of the gals has done some fabby job! Thanks a lot to each and every one of you!

Lets make it sketchy

Morning everyone! Hope you are feeling way better than I am at them moment. Not that I am complaining as I feel that my neck pain has finally started to give it. I just need a few more days and then hopefully the worst part will be over. It has been so bad that I have not even made a card with colouring in it for a month an a half or so. Luckly I worked ahead all this started. I think I will have to redecorate and reorganize my craft room so I get the optimal way to move around here. Might cause some of the neck pain... have to think about it, but it always seems to get worse when I sit down trying to write.

This week over at Passion for Promarkers we have the most lovely sketch of you to work with. It's our one
and only Lou have made it. Lovely clean look of it.
Lous sketch challenge 211

Saturated Canary
You can flip it or rotated it, as long as we see the main sketch in it. Ok, how is that for a fun challenge?
Sponsoring us this week is Saturated Canary. The prize is two digis. How great isn't that?

My card then, well I actually have two. I didn't like the photo of the first one so I made another one to go with it. (I have already given that away so I couldn't retake the photos either.  Well, I wasn't sure I like any of them to be honest, but here they are anyway.

This first one has an image that has become a big favourite of mine the last few months and I get requests for making boys cards with this image all the time. It's the steam punk dog from Kenny K. This time it ended up being for my partners 18 year old nephew. For this card I have stuck very clear to the sketch as it worked so well with the big image I had coloured in a combo of my tria and promarkers. Here I have used a paper pad from Bo Bunny I believe.

The second one should have been a totally different card. I am not kidding. I have an image that in my mind is coloured really brilliant, at least to be me. The only thing is that I didn't look at any designer papers when I did this so, at the moment I am stuck with a fabby image that goes with well nothing. LoL Of cours, I have coloured it in pink and olive green and it's for Christmas... Well, the card that I ended up with is also made for Christmas the first one from me for this season. Only 49 or so to go. Whoopie!

The image is from LOTV and is one of their new sweet images. As I have a fond love for snowmen this little family was a must have for me. Of course they are also coloured with my Letraset family all in purple and turquoise. The designer papers are from Panduro Hobby. Also this one is kept simple, I might even be able to send it with a single stamp, who knows? LoL Some pearls and punches from Martha Stewart is the decorations I used for this card. (Pearls from Bunny Zoe).

Well folks, that's all for today. Now it's time for a good nap and some strong meds so I get rid of the pain. Then, in the nick of time trying to make up a card for this weeks challenge over at The Paper Shelter. Luckly for me I have some of those images already coloued up as well. I just feel rusty when it comes to putting my cards together. This is the final week of vacation around here. The boys has been of from daycare and school for about 9 weeks and nothing much gets done by then. But soon, soon it will be normal again and my olderst will start his first real school year. And the sweet little kid has wished for a desk, some pens, a chair and a globe to have in his room. I think I have his birthday covered in November.

See you all tomorrow again,
Love n hugs
Marie

I'm still here

Hi there everyone who still manage to drop by every now and then. I am not feeling too well at the moment as the heat is doing really bad to my joints. But it has been worse, so that is a good thing. Soon the fall will be here and I will hopefully start feeling better again.

In the meantime I want to share an old card, and I mean old as I made it last spring, that is spring of 2012. I still have a few cards that hasn't been brought up here. LoL It's an image from Joanna Sheen, Faye something I think the artist is named. I have a few of here wonderful vintage images in cross stitch as well. The dp is Maja design and then some simple decorations on top of that. It was made for the teachers at Philips Pre school last year.

I do really hope that my fingers and arms starts to work soon as I have a few cards that needs to be done with a time limit to them. Why didn't I start sooner? LoL Have only known for two months or so... ;)
On top of having pain, I don't get anything done as long as the kids are home from daycare and school. interruption is not my thing and I am counting the days until we are back to normal again. Only a few days left now, 19th of August is the big day when Willy starts first grade and Philip starts his final year over

at preschool.

Love n hugs
Marie
