Travel the world

Morning! Second day in a row, I know... chocking! This time I am back with my card for the new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. And this weeks theme is "Travel the World". We are looking for cards that includes either a town, city, country, map, a way to travel and no a toy boat won't do it. The team has been brilliant when it comes to give inspiration for this challenge. Don't miss it over at the Paper Shelter's challenge blog.

As I am still struggling with life because of the panic attacks I suffer from during this time of the year, I decided to CAS this time and just enjoy the colouring part. And as I said the theme is "Travel the world" and I kind of went to Mexico! I love these happy little chaps that are playing and singing so loud that you can hear it even here in Kalmar. LoL

I went for colours of the Mexican flag wich is red, green and white with some fancy looking animal in the middle going in yellow and some other colours. I used some of my Christmas stash to make this card. Great recycling and a way to lower my stash a tiny bit. Some giant gemstones, a button and some twine is my decorations for this CAS card. There is also a bit of space where I can fit in a sentiment if I feel like it when I'm going to use the card. How clever am I? :)

Ok my friends, play with a TPS image and you have a chance of winning our gift voucher worth $30. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice. Nice too. However it's always great to see what you come up with using our TPS images.

Rags to riches

or like we would say "recycle something", but the "Rags to Riches" sounds so professional doesn't it? Well, I had to ask what it ment before I made my card. However, now I will never forget about it. :) For the first time in ages I had a really great time making my card. I even managed to colour on the Nennah card with my Letraset Markers. I still have a few sheets of my Letraset heavy cartright paper left but this was the first time it went great already from the beginning with the Nennah. Woohoo! And before I forget it, this is our new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers; "Rags to Riches". Don't forget you need to colour with Letraset products to be in the prize draw. And have a chance at top 5.

As I have taken some heavy meds I also need to tell you about my recycling for this creation before I forget. Believe me, I am quite dozed of after a heavy panic attac yesterday. All of the sudden there was some heavy thunder outside the door when I should go home from school. Oh yes! I had 10 kms to ride my bike in that weather and as it being me, no way in h--l that I was doing that. After waiting an hour for it to stop I finally caved in and called Daddy Dearest who rushed from work to help me home. When I finally came inside I totally crashed. Still I am very proud of myself being able to go and pick Philip up at day care a few hours later. Still shaking and hearing the thunder far away.

Wasn't too happy when I heard my oldest had been playing soccer in the thunder storm and his teachers hadn't gotten them under at least a roof during that time. They spend all day outside with their day care at the moment, living a kind of camp life instead of being at youth recreation center where he normally is after school. They take all the kids around here to place where they can swim in the sea, fish, play soccer, canoe and other fun stuff. I just don't like it when the weather is like this.

Ok, back to the card. Just being happy about surviving this that I had to write about it. :) My card... I have used one of the new lovely images from Bildmålarna for my card. Isn't he the sweetest? The designer paper is also from Bildmålarna and are really lovely. I just don't like the quality of them, as they get wet really easy. Careful with the glue. The dark brown border that is under the sea shells and star fishes are from Prima and a scrap pad of theirs with brown an beige papers. Love it and use it way to seldom.

And of course I forgot to tell what I recycled didn't I? Well, the first thing I used is some old net from some onions and the second thing is the corrugated paper that is also placed under the image. I white washed it with some really thin crackel paint from T.H. that was drying out. It's a joy to work with it now even if there is not much seen of the cracks. LoL

Further I used some matching flowers from WOC, some stamens from I am Roses, some long flowers from Magnolia and a rolled up rose that I made from some scrap papers, and to finish the whole thing of I used a piece of string from last years tomatoe plants. Glitter and pearls are also added.

We have a sponsor for this challenge as well and that is Polkadoodles who is offering one lucky winner two digis from their store.

I hope you come and join us in this fun challenge and you will for sure get plenty of inspiration from the team over at Passion for Promarkers.

Not feeling to good

Hi! Just letting you know that I am not feeling too good at the moment and therefor it's not happening much around here.

It seems like I have taken a new dive into a depression started from my panic attacks that I get during the summer. I am having a really hard time getting things done and keep focus. How good is that when you have to take your classes all summer? Oh well, in two weeks I will see my new therapist about this. Should have been there this week but had to take my youngest to the doctor to see what's causing him trouble. One day when I  feel up to it i will try to explain what's going on with me, but at the moment that's too heavy for me...

I hope that things will turn around soon and that I will start to feel better and feel the joy of everything again soon. I don't want to wait to fall, when I normally start feeling way much better. Yes, I know it's wired but that's how it is. I hate summer, ok, not hate summer. I hate the weather during the summer and how it make me feel really unsafe. Give me snow and ice any day and I'll be a happy person again. And do you know what? The weather forecast predict snow tomorrow in the northern parts of Sweden.

And just to leave you with something litte I show another card that has been unblogged for quite some time now.  It's an really old card and it's made for one of my cousins sons who happen to have his birthday in October, that's why it's lots of scary parts on the card, and do you know what? It's how I feel at the moment, scared...

Summer time without a card...

Morning everyone! I hope you have had a better week than I. First a day at home with my youngest and then spent yesterday at the doctor's office with him and it was "only" about 25 Celsius degrees outside. Very fitting for this week's theme which is...

Summer time!
(We want to see your creations that has to do with summer. That means beaches, sun, sand, water, sea side etc).

Challenge prize badge

As always you have a chance of winning a gift certificate worth $30 if you play with any Papershelter product, playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choise.

I am sorry that I don't have any card for this weeks challenge. It has been very little time and it got even less when Philip went sick again. But be sure to take a look over at the Paper Shelter challenge blog where my teamies has done such fantastic job for this challenge. You will really feel the urge to take part in the challenge. LoL

One for the boys / men

Morning and welcome back to my little corner of the world. It's Tuesday and time for a new wonderful challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. This week's theme is set to "One for the Boys / men". This is actually one of my favourite themes. Maybe because I always have two tons of cards to make for the boys? With two sons there is always birthday cards that needs to be done for class mates, soccer friends and what more friends they might have. A never ending story and I just love making them. :)

This card is made for well, I don't really remember who got it but at least I know that I have used a Lili of the Valley stamp from a few years back. Had lots of fun colouring this one. I don't remember who has made the designer papers. The only thing I know is that I almost end up using them during the winter season. They are "Halloweenish". (Heard that word before?) The sad thing is that they are all gone soon and then I need to find something else. Summer season is for Echo Park. LoL Happy bright colours. So why not use them this time. Wasn't in the mood. LoL

I have used some dark green twine and quite big skull charm as decorations for this card. And to pick up on "all" the water that goes with this image I have used some clear dew drops in the corners of the card. And I think that the inspiration for the card came from a Papertake Weekly Sketch. I tend to fall back on those when my brain goes out of business, which is quite often in other words. LoL

Sponsoring this fun challenge is Letraset but what the prize is, is yet to be figured out when I wrote this post. Then only thing I can be sure of is that it's something great and I probably want it. Can we settle for that for now?

Anyway, I hope that you will come and join us in this fun adventure and make some great male cards for us to see and for your loved ones to recieve.

A forgotten card

Happy Swedish National day! To the rest of you happy Friday. Taking a few minutes to write a few words and post a card before a long day at the soccer fields starts. For now the sun is shining, just hope it will do it for the rest of the day as it's the final day of soccer school tonight as well. Would be nice if it wasn't so wet then. :) It started with rain the other day, ok yesterday and for Willy's game starting in an hour and a half there is some sunshine. Please stay that way!

I found a card laying around in the computer and I don't think I have shown this one before, if I have I appologize. This card was once again made for a friend of my kids. I have used one of my favourite boy images from the Paper Shelter for this card and it's called Extreme.

He is coloured with my normal Letraset markers and paired up with some designer papers from Echo Park which is perfect for boy's cards. I'm sorry that the photo is such strange one, but the card is long gone. I will see if we can fix it later on.

The only decorations is a few Card Candies in brown. Some foam letters to spell the name of the kid and his age. Nice and easy, just as a card for a boy should be in my opinion.

Ok my friends, it's time to leave for the first hours at the soccer fields and then we get home for a while to rest before we start over again. LoL
