Make it digital

Hi there and welcome to my midweek post, probably my only post this week. I am so tired since started work training that I can hardly keep my eyes open when I come home from work. And that's why I am late with my card again, that and the fact that we have been sick again. A never ending story but soon spring will be here and probably less of the colds. I have not even had the to learn the software for the soccer club but I am getting there. It probably would have been lots easer to ask someone but yet again, I would not learn how to do it then would I? At least not as good.
,
There is another reason to why I am late as well. I have spent some time empty my craft room, well a third of it at least. I have painted one wall dark green/ black greenish and it will be THE darkest craft room ever but it looks so good and I will feel calm here. I can't wait to finish this and I have even been promissed a new floor for the room, but that I can't put in there myself. My partner has to do that. I am so glad that all of the yellow in this room goes away. And when I say "post gul" all who lives or have been in Sweden knows what I mean. It's a really bright yellow that you can see from far far away. White furniture to this will be looking really great. Can't wait but I have to do it slow or I will be back in my heavy pain status again and I really don't want that as I feel fairly good even if I am on heavy meds.

Now then my card that you are here to see. I have used the wonderful image called the Lantern and coloured it in grey with details in red and green mostly. I then dived into my big, big pile of Prima designer papers. So many and so little used. They have some nice dark once in their collections, however they didn't really match up to what I was looking for so in the end I used a wedding collection from Authentic and got some more scraps used up. I try to reduce all of my stash as much as I dare. I always think that I will use it in the future but I know I won't so... I try to collect what I think I won't use and then give it to my oldest kid's school.

I ended up with lots of details on this card. Lots of pearls and lots of flowers both from I am roses and from Wild Orchid Crafts. A dark red ribbon and some glitter glue. As always (nearly) coloured with my Letraset markers. Butterfly punch from Martha Stewart. and so is the border used on the red card stock. Pearl string from Rox stamps here in Sweden.

Ok, the final info and I will add a better photo tomorrow when I am not as tired as I am now. Knocked out again still I have slept fairly much today when I get back home from work. Wasn't my attention to do so as there is some great fun world champion ships of cross country skiing going on here in Sweden at the moment. My favourite skier was up for the first time this champion ships and won! Congratulations to Johan Olsson, the one and only!

Krafty Creations

Happy weekend to you all! Hope you're fine and that you feel ok. I'm terrible tired with lots of pain in my back but in my head I feel great! At least that what I try to tell myself. I have started to work train or what you call it and it totally take all energy out of me and the pain on top of that. But I am happy because places that I thought would take a lot of beating of this "work", doesn't. Bad thing is that places I thought was ok isn't, so it's hard to balance but I'll get there in the end. It's a no brain work but it needs to be done and there is so many lovely people around that it's fun because of that.

On top of that I went to a meeting in the boys soccer/football club and ended up taking over as a mini chairman of the youth section. Don't ask how that happend because I have no clue and now I have to learn how to use the computer software for that club. And I don't understand a thing, at least not yet. Gotten so far that I understand that I can post anywhere at the homepage. Wonder how much I can mess up too? LoL

Ok then, enought with the diary stuff! LoL It's Friday as you all know and that means we have a new challenge for you over at Winter Wonderland. We are still doing our non Christmas theme if you don't feel up to doing Christmas just yet. I wasn't in the mood for that and still I had another card design on my mind before I got my head into way too much stuff at the same time. So I ended up with a CAS card once again. And it's another work out image from Make it Crafty. This time "we" are doing some weight lifting and before that it was jogging. I have one more of those images and I will try to make up yet another CAS card with that image. Then I have a whole little collection of cards for males and without any sentiment. I never know what to write on those cards. It's hard to be fun and clever at the same time. LoL

Sorry about the picture, taken under light bulb light and it doesn't work too good with so much white space. If I find the time I'll fix this when I come back home from work later on today.

I have used some craft card as one of my back panels (I had planned to do some craft card colouring at first), then I used some left over dark red card stock and then the image panel on top of that. Then I added a few of my very little left over stock of those "e-dots". I can't spell it's real name and it's called different depending on who is making them. I got these from Annelie but I gave the lightblue one a new colour in dark red to match up with my grey and red theme.

Sponsors do we have for this challenge as well and this week we are lucky enough to have

Crafty Sentiments with a prize of 3 digis

And Crafter's Companion with a £10 voucher

So come on and join us now. Any theme will do and you just have to use some craft paper on your creation.

Spring or Easter sentiment

Morning and hello! Hope you all had a great week and some time to craft. As I am always chasing time at the moment and a few days behind there has been lots of crafting and posts this week. Well, hopefully it all settles when we all get well again. Both kids are still trouble by their cough but at least back not in school but extracurricular. They had the chance both of them to be with their grandma but chose to be in their school environment instead. And today I understand it as they have planed to go to Svartbäcksmåla 30 km from here and go sledding. There is a small down hill slope that also works for that, it's not like being in the mountains but better than nothing. The only bad thing is that it's quite warm but they have some artificial snow that they can sled on. At least that the last plan I heard. Sorry got carried away again.

It's the B-teams turn to show off their creations for AUD sentiments. This will be the last week that you can enter our theme Spring or Easter sentiment. Maybe it's a bit early in the year to think about spring but give it a try as we have some nice prize up for grabs. Our sponsor this week is

Great Impressions was founded in 1984 by Ken and Deone Mackenzie.  With a love for stamping, the company grew.  The result is a quality rubber stamp in either wood mount or stickable mount backing for all your stamping needs.  Great Impressions' goal is to provide the highest quality stamps and to inspire creativity!  Please check out our online store to see over 1,000 stamp designs today!  We know you'll find something that will leave a "Great Impression" on you!

The prize is five (5) stamps from the store.
How great isn't that? So come on and join us now in our hunt for spring.

My card then. Well, I have a few stamps from Magnolia, Sweden that I keep coming back to time after time. This is one of them. I think it's called Big tulip in barrow or something like that. I have three flowers that I really love, well then maybe four. LoL But tulips are first on my list. Two resons, they come in so many different colours and seeing a big bouquet of tulips in mixed colours can only make you happy. The second reson is that it was my grannys favourite flowers and I miss her every day. I used yet another favorite Tilda with tulip on my creation for the post before this and that goes in red...
Hmm one of the brown markers used on this card reacted strange and got really shiny while the rest got really muted. Never happend before wonder what went wrong? Can't even blame it on my photo because it's like that IRL too, but no time to fix it.

Anyway, I took yet another dive into the enormous pile of designer papers that is laying around here and used up some old stuff. I don't know from where they are but it's thick good quality that you hardly ever get anymore and they are a bit old fashion in their look. Love that but it's hard colours to work with. I had actually cut this card for my other Tilda card that I posted earlier this week but it didn't work at all. But came together with this stamp at least fairly good. I have used a few yellow pearls from Bunny Zoe and some sweet heart blossoms from I am Roses to decorate. I also found a left over butterfly from a stamp store that isn't around anymore. So many companies that closes down. And many of them are really missed by me. :(

Ok, think I covered all and then some in this post. I will be back tomorrow as well with a final card for this week. I see you then.

Perfect Pearls

Hi there and welcome to the busy week. It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this time we go with a great simple theme: Perfect Pearls! How strange it is when you should make a challenge with something that you use on almost every card you make, when it becomes the challenge theme it's suddenly hard to get it together...

Well, well. I did manage to get a card together in the end even if it took some time. Lots of illnesses going around at the moment and both kids are unwell but lots better today. Spent half the day at the hospital with the olderst yesterday. Did some tests and found out that his asthma is back. Not good but it's better than not knowing. Maybe he will get it a little more easy now when practising soccer and all that. It will take a while before the cough is gone but it will be lots more easy for him.

Anyway for this weeks card I have used my favourite Tilda from Magnolia. I don't remember what it's called but maybe Tilda with big tulip pot or something like that? She's coloured with my Letraset Markers on the old real deal heavy paper from Letraset as well. I have some left of those pads and it's a treat to use them every now and then. :) The designer papers are from Prima and the collection called  Sunny Days. For once I was lucky and found something that matched the image. The red is perfect to my red tulip. The black lace comes from my friend Gail in the US. Isn't it lovely?

My only decorations for the card is my pearls. Bought those at Bunny Zoe, just as always. Maybe I'll ad a sentiment to the card later when I know who it's for, but not sure yet. I am glad that it was this simple theme this time around because I have turned my crafting room up side down as I didn't like the way it was, too messy. Even worse now but will end up better I hope. LoL

Our sponsor for this challenge is Digi Stamp Boutique. The prize is a voucher worth £10. Nice isn't
it?

Ok then, time for you to start crafting. I look forward to see what you will be up to with this nice theme for this weeks challenge.

Love n hugs

Recycle

Morning! New challenge up over at the Paper Shelter. This week we're RECYCLING so use something that has been used for something else on your creation or do a make over of a shoe box if you like. Just remember that your item needs to be used before as we're recycling not altering.

I have used "Brave and cute knight" for my card, and he is coloured with my Letraset Markers. I took yet another dive into the old paper stack and used some hight quality dps from My Minds Eye. They are so thick! Now, my photo got a bit unbalanced once again, the red is much darker IRL. I have used some old buttons and some corrugated paper as my recycled items. I took some gesso on to the corrugated paper to add some more details and also some twine in the big buttons.

KISS (Keep it sweet and simple)

Goodmorning! This was a struggle, almost an hour to get the internet to work and find blogger. Frustrating is what it is. I'll better type fast while it's working.

It's time for a new challenge over at Winter Wonderland and this week we are having the theme of KISS - Keep it sweet and simple. Make your card without all the fussy details and lots of flowers and you will be fine.

I used a super cute image from the Paper Shelter. I made it big, really big as it's so many small details to colour. It's called Mokeys. I took a dive into my old designer papers and found a piece of My Minds Eye papers and use it as a back drop for the card. It was kind of a jungle feel to it. I know that I somewhere have one going in  yellow and green but I couldn't find it so this one had to do. A die cut from Magnolia is a back drop for my green ribbon and some pearls to go with that and we are done. A simple card with lots of colouring.

Sponsoring us is Di's digi designs. A gift voucher worth $12 is up. Really great isn't it?

Love or valentine sentiment

Good morning! Hope you feel tons better than I do. Have managed to convert my cold into an otitis. Am I brilliant or what? It will be so much fun to go on a field trip later on today together with the Employment Service. Well, I have to stay on my feet for about two and a half hour then I can crash again.

It has really been a struggle to get this card done as before the ears and the cold, I couldn't use my hands and had to use my mum as a secretary which was great! Maybe I could have it like that all the time? I am so sorry that I am so late with this card boss ladies over at AUD sentiments. But better late than never, right?

So our theme over at Aud sentiments this week is Love or Valentine. And you have to use a sentiment on your creation. That is kind of what this challenge blog is all about.

Our sponsor this time is Lacy Sunshine Stamps and they are kindly offering a prize of three images of winners choice for this challenge. Thank you so much! Nothing to lose is there? Get cracking and get a card or two done and come and join us.

And then we have my card then. I have used Rory's Camera but only used a part of the image. Still shaking when I try to colour small areas so bigger and bolder it is at the moment. When I finally managed to get the image coloured I was happy to remember my two Lili of the Valley pads in lovely pink and blue colours. Dugg those out once again but no left overs this time. Kind of created some instead and this was the second card of the year that wasn't a left over card. Kind of proud of myself.

Anyway as I was/is late with my card a simple card design had to do even if I wanted something else for this card. I stayed in the the pastel world and used a few flowers from WOC and I am Roses. Took another dive into my huge pile of charms and found a matching heart to go with the sentiment. Some pearls as well and I was done, finally. It has taken me almost three days to get this card together as I only have been able to stay up a few minutes at the time. No more of this now please! Will see how long that will last as my oldest has gotten sick too by now, the youngest last week... Only M left after this.

New month, new party

Hello! Hope you're doing fine and that life treats you well. After having resting my vrists and fingers, well every joint there is that has been really painful. I feel a tiny bit better at the moment and I have finally managed to complete all my studies for now. Now I just need to find a real job, well, I settle for job, it doesn't have to be real. LoL

It's time for a new challenge over at Party Time Tuesday and we keep playing anything goes with you all. We are already in the month of February and since the first Tuesday of the month has come and gone I can post my card for this months inspiration. I still try to keep my joints still, but not off work how to speak. Just a little slower and a bit less how to speak. I made a very simple card that still looks ok. I love the pastel colours especially during this dull time of the year.

The designer papers are from Lili of the Valley and NitWit's. Sorry don't have the name for the pad, and I actually think the dps comes from two quite simular pads... It's my left over mission that has brought this combo together. The image is from Sugar Nellie (I think, I can't find the stamp at the moment) and I have coloured it with distress inks, both markers and from the refills. I like playing around with my waterbrush from time to time. It teaches me to be more patient actually and don't hurry as much as it will be a mess of everything.

The round die is from Marianne Design and I got it here from Moa Pyssel. The flowers also comes from a scrapbox that I keep, well except the small white ones that I buy in bulk as I use them for almost every card I make that has flowers on them. LoL The lower edge is made with my favourite Martha Stewart punch. Some card candy is also used as deco. The pink one looks a bit strange but it's the same colour as the dp, well almost. A little lighter and more shiny. :)

Sponsoring this challenge is Crafters Companion.
Take a look at our challenge blog to find out more.

Well, thanks for looking and maybe leaving some love. Hope to see you play along with us over at The Party Time Tuesday challenge. A lovely prize is up for grabs as always.

One for the boyz

Good morning! Hope you're doing fine. As you know I have been struggling with my joints for quite some time now, well next hit is the flu. So grateful that I managed to get this card done before it struck. I try to keep this really short and sweet as the world is really spinning around, fast. LoL

It's a new challenge up for you all to take part in over at Passion for Promarkers and todays host is, well me! My favourite theme is "One for the boyz" so that is what you have to deal with this week. Nice male creations is what we wanna see.

Some months ago did I drop by the lovely store of Make it Crafty and they had a whole bunch of lovely guy images up, all working out to be fit. So those landed in my computer and here is the first of them called Brian jogging. I was in the mood for a kind of CAS card with a fabby image. That didn't happen as everything sounded so silly. So instead of a fabby sentiment some dots that I got from my dear blogging friend Annelie. Thanks! And playing around with something that would keep the card together I found some scrappers floss. It kind of looks dark grey but it really is dark purple and I hope it looks some kind of "roadish" or "tracky". The red and the with layers are stuck down with two hights of foam dots to give a tiny bit of more interst to the card.

Sponsors this week is Letraset with a Promarker Manga set of pen (Fantasy version)

Polkadoodles sponsoring with 2 digi images (keyboard boy and guitar boy)

And that is all form me for today. I am so dizzy right now and will head straight back to bed to recover. On Thursday I have to meet with the employment office and some official place to see if I can have some time of working practise there. Have heard that it's quite a lot of working and then I am toasted before I even have started. My legs and feet can't stand up for four hours per day and then make sure they get home in snowy weather as well. Hope that it isn't as bad as they say... Keeping my fingers crossed.

Love n hugs
Marie
