Blue skies - shades of blue

Hi and hello! Hope you had a better start to the week than I had. How many hours does it take to load a photo with my internet? Answer: Forever! I don't know how many hours I have been struggling to get this post going, and then all of the sudden it works, even if it's really slow. Someone = "hubby" is going to move back the internet connection to where it should be and that soon. Still I can't nag as he is helping me to get the craft room ready so I should be nice shouldn't I? Well, after having messed and remade the photo editing it seems to be working a little better. Well, read smaller file. LoL

Anyway, better get on with it before it decides to shut down again. It's a new challenge up over at Passion for Promarkers and this week we're enjoying the theme of "Blue skies". That means we want to see shades of blue on your card. It should be your main colour.

Our sponsor this week is Little Claire Designs and the prize is this cute set of stamps.

And my card... I have once again used the NitWit/LOTV paper pads Up up and away and Pastel dreams. Well, at least I think I have used them both. :) The image is my favourite Tilda from Magnolia and her name is also gone in my foggy brain. Let's just agree that she is really cute, ok? She's coloured with my Letraset Markers which you also have to use for your creation, well you don't have to use my markers. You can use your own but it has to say Letraset on them.

I have used some pearls, flowers, a few die cut clouds to reinforce the sky theme and then a cute little charm that says "made with love". A punched border is also on the card and the punch is from Martha Stewart.

Well folks, that's it. I hope this will work and I will find a way to get this crappy internet to work for me and not against me. Maybe I won't spend as much time as I thought I would by the soccer field. I might be spending it here, trying to figure this internet connection instead. LoL

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello! New challenge up over at Winter Wonderland. Theme of the week. Warm Winter Wishes. An image wearing warm clothes is what we are looking for this week. Nice and easy we hope.

I so had another image in mind for this challenge, one of my beloved TPS images but I am still having trouble with my PC and the external harddrive and all that comes along when you temporarily move your stuff and don't think it will take so long... There is also still the trouble with my image uploading. Still walking in old chewing gum. :(

Instead of the TPS image I found this little darling from Joanna Sheen. A cute little rabbit that I wanted to have so badly after giving one to a friend. Then it just ended up in my Christmas box to be found as a little treasure the other day. :) Isn't he cute in his oversized sweater? Just the way I like them, well maybe without the Christmas motive then. :) The little mistletoe stamp are also from the same stamp set. The sentiment "God Jul" is from Bildmålarna's collection.

I love my CAS cards at the moment and they save me some time when I can't find what I need for my cards. At the moment is my charger for the camera gone. Need to find that really soon as it's low on battery. I have some gemstones from Anitas. Bought those ages ago when I just had started crafting and they last a lifetime. And look so good as berries here. A piece of twine to ground the little rabbit and sentiment and I was done.

Sorry once again to my teamies over at Winter Wonderland for being late again with my card. I will get my act together, at least as soon as I have my new room ready. Before that I will probably chase my tail for a bit longer. Tomorrow will we try to finish the roof in the room. In between both my boys soccer trainings. It's a tournament on next weekend for both of them. Woohoo! Indoor and that feels so good when it's raining outside right now and tomorrow there will probably be some snow again. Too bad that my oldest have practise outside late afternoon tomorrow. How fun! ;)

Sponsoring us this week is the lovely

Sorry, I don't know what the prize is.

Well, I bet I see you over at Winter Wonderland and that you will come and join us for this weeks challenge. Now will I go and light the fire so we won't freeze to death in the basement. And a little PS: my partner told me that I had been talking in my sleep last night. Of all the things in the world I have been talking about crochet needles! Apparently I love them. I have had a few crocheting ideas in my head for a while so it's probably not that strange but fun. So maybe I should go down and use one in my collection while I wait for the fire to start up. LoL

Two word sentiment

Morning and hello! What a week I had so far, chasing my tail every single minute but now it soon weekend and I really need that.

I am here to share with you a card made for our second week of the challenge "two word sentiment" over at Aud sentiments. This is yet another birthday card I've made and well. I am not sure about this one. I love the colours and the dps and everything but... Maybe because I had to rush the card fairly much. It has been so much going on here lately and my craft room is still not ready. I have stuff in the whole living room and the TV-room and really no place to sit down to do my creations and then it gets hard to motivate myself. I hope that we will finish the roof later on this week and then in with the new floor so that I can get my stuff into the room again in some kind of order. Can't wait for that but it's going slow, really slow. So much to do, such short days! LoL

The image is called Cupcake Honey and is found over at Scrapper's delight. She's coloured with my Letraset Markers and then paired up with my NitWit/LOTV dp's. They are so lovely and colourful. And easy to find as most of my dp's are stashed away. Didn't thought it would take so long to finish my room. LoL As decorations have I used a doily and some "e-dots" that I got from my blogging buddy Annelie. A border punch from somewhere is used to cut one of the panels with. Letter stickers from Panduro to say "Happy Birthday Elin" in Swedish.

Well, I think this is all for today. I am really tired and it's quite painful in my back at the moment, end of the week you know. I see you tomorrow again with a new creation for the Winter Wonderland.

Gingham, plaids and checks

Hello and good morning and all of that! Hope your doing fine and enjoying your week so far. Just letting you know that we have a new challenge up over at Passion for Promarkers and the theme

Gingham, plaids or checks

How does that sounds for a challenge? Nice and easy I hope. So use either or more on your creation. Colour with your Letraset Markers and then come and play with us. This week we are sponsored by the Digi Stamp Boutique, and the prize is a voucher worth £10 to spend in the store. How great isn't that?

Here is a snap shot of my card. It shows baby Edwin from Magnolia. Of course coloured with my Letraset Markers. He is paired up with som lovely dps from NitWit / Lili of the Valley. It's a combo from Pastel Dream and Up in the air, I think the pads are called.

The decorations is only made with two small paper punches in two sizes from Woodware. The sentiment is made with two kinds of alphabets from Panduro. Nice and easy for a little kid turning two.

Girly

Hi and welcome to my corner of the world. I am having big problems with my internet today or maybe it's the computer as everything is running really slow.

We have a new theme up over at the Paper Shelter today and it's girly. We would love to see girly stuff like pink, lace, pearls, charms etc. Thinks that is typical girly.

Well, speaking of girly I have used a bit less girly image for my card this week, but it doesn't stop my card from being covered in girly stuff. The image used is called The Valkyrie. For some reason I have not been able to use her before but today I thought it was a good idea, for a girly theme. LoL Girl power?

To decorate the card I have used some pink grey dp's from Maja design, lace, flowers and pearl strings. The flowers are covered in white gesso and some lose glitter. Surprise! :) Sometimes it's just plain fun to add lots of stuff and hopefully it turns out ok. If it did this time, it's up to you to decide.

I will keep this short and hopefully it will post at least but no picture will load at the moment and I don't have the energy to sit here more today. One more days work then some rest...

I end here for now and hope to get this working tomorrow

Animal Antics

Morning and hello, Running a little late today but soon I'm very I should be in my day plan. :) The day got a little longer than it should have yesterday, and I couldn't take a good photo of my quite dark Christmas card. The first one for 2015. WooHoo!

So as this is Christmas card you have probably figured out that my posting today is all about the Winter Wonderland. Our break from Christmas cards is over and we're back in preparing for the big day again. We're starting our Christmas cards with the theme of Animal Antics. So images with sweet loving animals/pets is what we want to see on your Christmas cards this week. There is so many sweet lovely images out there so it should not be a problem to get a card done for this theme. I look forward to see them all.

For the first time ever have I manage to complete a card with the lovely House mouse and friends. I have lots of those stamps but for some reason they just ends up laying around in their box. Maybe because I have tried to colour them with distress inks, but not this time. I went with my Letraset markers and ended up with a decent image which I really love. It's super cute and it was fun to colour it.

The dps are from a pad I found laying around, I didn't have the front left so I have no clue who it's from, but I like the dark dp with ornaments on. It's stunning. I have worked with lots of layers on this card as the image is fairly small. And after all it is a Christmas cards so some glitter card stock fond it's way there as well. Some foam letters to spell out God Jul (Merry Christmas in Swedish) and a few big bold pearls in the corner and I felt done.

We have a really nice prize up for grabs this week and if you want a chance to win this come on and play with us. We are sponsored by Wild Rose Studio who are offering the winner three stamps.

Ok my friends. It's time to deal with the rest of the day. I hope to see you around at Winter Wonderland. Don't forget to play with us. You know you want a chance on that lovely prize. ;)

Bingo + sentiment

Good morning to you all! Hope you had a good week so far and that you'll have a great weekend too when it's here. Had a bit of a tough days with a little bit more pain than I had for a few days. Time to slow down in other words. It's my own fault as I got so much energy from the work training that I have over done it. Time to pay the prize but it will be fine soon I hope.

It's time for the B-team over at Aud sentiment to bring you some inspiration for our Bingo challenge. On top of making one of the rows complete in the bingo board you need to have a sentiment on your creation. After all we are named AUD Sentiments, so always a sentiment when playing with us, ok?

We are sponsored this week by  My Artistic Adventure - and in addition we are pairing up with Add a Little Dazzle for this challenge. This means that we will have TWO WINNERS this week! A Gift Certificate to Add A Little Dazzle and a $10 Gift Certificate to My Artistic Adventure.

For my card have I used Vintage Easter postcards 1. I used one of the images with blue around them and made the size match my card. I have once again used Maja Design Vintage spring for my card. And before I forget it I tell you that I match up both middle rows : something pink, flowers and glitter/bling and the rows that goes with paper punch, flowers and lace.

My mind likes clean shapes and straight lines, well supposed to be straigth at least and this card really shows that. Three different dp's and then the cute topper that reminds me of my granny who always sent Easter cards, often painted by an artist that used his/hers mouth or toes to draw and paint. I still have them. I never do any decoration or stuff like that for Easter. Stopped doing that when the cats I had before decided that they where there for them to "kill". But I really enjoy making my Easter cards. This year I even think I have to send some away. LoL

I don't remember where the lace punch used is from, but I find it sweet. :) The flowers are from WOC and I am Roses. Lace is from Pysseltagen, it might be Prima as brand. Pearls from Bunny Zoe, stickle from Rangers. The pink flower dots are from a store here in Sweden that isn't around anymore. Feathers that is hardly seen from Panduro I think.

Well, I think this is it. I hope you like my creation and will come and join us over at AUD sentiments this last of our Bingo weeks.

Love n hugs
Marie

Anything goes over at Party Time Tuesday

Hi there and welcome to the March party over at Party Time Tuesday. As we have an anything goes theme, always over at Party Time Tuesday it gives me a chance to test out making cards in new ways for me. This time it really is party time here, and a fancy one it is.

I have a friend who have a friend that turned 50 recently and as 50 is big mile stone, or so I've heard I thought that I go all the way and make a tailcoat. Googled that and found two that I really liked and made my versions of them. So with this I say a big THANK YOU for the inspiration to Dixie Cochran for the wonderful CAS look of a tuxido/jacket. And Nina Dee for the other version of the card. It has been such join to make some different cards from what I normally do.

Both cards are really fun to make and fit both as invitation or birthday cards. In my case it became a birthday card. I have added my own touch to both cards. The first one that I have made two versions of has used a ribbon bow tie instead of a paper one, On the second one I used black embossing power to get a shiny, silky look and I also added a pocket with handkerchief in it. I tried to figure out if I could add a carnation of any sort to this card but the ones I had was to big and making it less big ended up in well, a real mess. LoL I read that a perfect tuxido is dressed with a carnation...

So here are my cards to inspire you hopefully as the ladies above inspired me for my cards. It was really fun to make something that I didn't have to colour for once and I will probably be making more of those cards, both modells. It's such great male cards don't you think?

The more CAS version of the tuxido with a ribbon bow tie. Buttons are card candy.

The more detailed version with added pocket and handkerchief on it. Pearls as buttons. Handkerchied and bow tie made of white ribbon. The rest is only white and black cardstock even if it looks a bit grey here.

Well thanks for looking and I see you around over at Party Time Tuesdays. Can't wait to see what you all come up with for our challenge this month.

Lovely lilac and lemon

New challenge over at Passion for Promarkers this week the theme is Lovely Lilacs and lemon. A nice and easy challenge for you now when spring is on it's way.

All the world champion ships of skiing is over for this time and now more time to craft, if  I just hadn't turned my craft room over to a mess. Well, actually that room is starting look tidy but the rest of the house, maybe not that much. My whole living room is filled with my craft stuff and my desks and drawers and you name it. It's such a mess! But will be worth it in the end. I had just planned to paint one of my walls. Well, I am now heading from three walls and wall paper on the fourth. Not much but it will look great I think. Anyway, I am so pleased with my almost nutsy decition to pain the walls dark, daaark, daaaaark green. Almost black. It it totally smashing.

The feeling of the room is that it will be little and I need more light sourses in there but it will be great. Luckly I decided to go white on my furniture in there so it will be great and give some light to the room. I can't wait to get this finished that's for sure. I will even have a new floor and roof. I am kind of robbing my kid of that. His room should have been done first but one thing led to another and so on. It's a bit hard on my crafting at the moment. Have stuff everywhere and in the middle of it all one of my cats sits and looks at me like I am totally crazy. The worst part is that he probabaly is right. LoL

Well my friends now when I have written what I felt I need to get of my chest I am ready to tackle my card for today. We have the theme of lovely lilacs and lemons this week and then I thought: Ok not my colours but I want to do something nice with the theme anyway, challenge myself so a big dive into some wooden mounted stamps that I've had for a few years. Looked at them again and thought why not? So an enormous lilac stamp fitting the theme became my choice. Colour it in with my letraset markers and found real joy in that. It looks ok and then the hunt for the dps; Maja design came to my rescue again and found  matching dps.

My card looks like this and I build up a fairly big flower cluster in matching colours. Not very easy this time. I just with I could have done it a bit smaller, but at least it looks kind of nice. Then some pearls and a piece of lace that matched into the creation as well. Over all it looks quite ok and I am please with the card. And I remember why I don't use that stamp that often. Its really big and hard to get a crisp image from when you stamp it. A bit hard to colour too but this went ok.

Some green stiff string from prima, glitter glue, tons of flowers and pearls is used to decorate the card. Some lace tide into a bow and a heart shaped charm to finish it all of and the card is done, almost. I did also use some glossy accent to highlight the water drops on the leaf and then added a fem more around the card.
