Pastel colours

Hello and good morning! Hope your week have been better than mine. Tons of headache again and a really low dip. It's time for a medical clean up. No pills for the coming week and face the pain instead. Hopefully less pain in the head and stomach then.

We have a new challenge up today at the Winter wonderland. The theme is set to pastel colours and for a few more weeks you don't have to make Christmas cards when you join our challenges. So any card with pastel colours will be fine.

We are sponsored by Di's Digital Stamps this week and they are offering the lucky winner a $12 gift voucher to use in their store.

My image is from Magnolias Winter kit. I don't have the name of the image but it was popular before Christmas. I didn't get around to play with it by then. However a few weeks ago, I felt like playing with my distress markers which I rarely use. So I have coloured up a few of the winter motives from the kit and here is one of the results. I find it really hard to colour hair with distress ink, it just get messed up. More practise needed. LoL

The image is paired up with designer papers from Maja design. They are from two different pads but they have no front anymore so I can't say which ones it is. The flowers are from WOC, the snowflakes are from ROX stamps. Punch used for the edge is from Martha Stewart. Since little Miss Tilda is holding on to a little Frosty I decided to make a snow lantern as well from some "snow balls" I found in my stash. The sentiment stamp is from Gummiapan. Pearls from Bunny Zoe and pearl swirls are from bought from Joanna Sheen.

I hope you will come and play with us over at the Winter Wonderland and remember it doesn't have to be a Christmas card at this point. You only need to use pastel colours.

I will also take the chance to thank the ones of you who is still following me here on my little blog. I don't have the energy to post as much as I used to due to feeling like I do at the moment. But it all have to turn some day. Have been saying that for long now, but I still belive that it will.

Rough it up

Morning and hello! Welcome back to my corner of the world second time this week. My cold is getting worse and I have gotten feveer so I have not been able to finish my card yet. But it's on the way. I thought I could at least start to tell you about the challenge we're having this week over at the Paper Shelter.

Our theme is set to "Rough it up" and that would mean that the edges of the CS/dps are a bit uneven, scratched, torn etc. But it has nothing to do with distress ink, just the paper edges ok...

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

As always we have a gift voucher worth $30 up for grabs if you play with any TPS product. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three (3) digis of your choice. There is tons of fabby images to choose between and you are sure to find something that will suit you.

So sorry took a bit longer than I thought to get this up. Ending up spending the whole day in bed yesterday with fever. But here it is. My Rough it up card. I have reinforced the edges with some vintage photo distress ink, just like I always do, but I have also used the edges of a pair of sissors to edge the edges how to speak. The rich pink designer papers are from Prima and so is the light one.  A few flowers, some lace and a couple of butterflies made with a die from Joy Crafts I think. Pearls from my stash.

Take care and be safe!

Flower Power

Morning and hello! Welcome back to my little corner of the world. The week start off with a nice and lovely cold. This time I hope it will really break out and get as worse as it can and not a little half cold. After that can it go away forever.

Super cold here today again. Had -15C degrees tonigth. It have quite cold for more than a week now and it's great. I do feel a bit better in my joints so now is the hard thing not to over do anything to make it heal for real. I just miss the snow.

The new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers is mine and have choosen the the theme of "Flower Power". That just means that I want to see lots of flowers on your creation. Nice and easy I hope.

I made this card a while back when I finished my last day over at my work training so it its a while back now. I have used designer papers from Maja Design, the image is from Stempelglade. It looks a bit more yellow here than it is in real life. I have used quite a few flowers from WOC, pearls from Bunny Zoe and I think the lace is from them as well. A butterfly punch from MS, and the rose lace/ribbon is also from WOC. There is many layers on this creation some are just cut, and some are made with Spellbinder dies.

Sponsoring this challenge is Letraset and MR Design. From Letraset is a pack of neonmarkers up and a gift voucher from Michele R Design worth £10.

I do hope you all  will come and join us for this challenge. Don't forget that you have to use Letraset products to be able to join in with our challenges.

Glitter and shine

Morning and hello! Finally a new creation from my craft room to show you and my first post of 2016 for the Winter Wonderland. This weeks theme is set to glitter and shine. So glitter and some sparkle/shine would be nice to see on all of your fabby creations.

I decided to go kind of clean with my creation today. I have used and image from Power Poppy and coloured with my letraset markers and some pencils. I have also used a sakura pen for the sentiment. Some left over CS in grey/silver, green and white is used as back drops. An old embossing folder have also been put to work for some more interest. It's all layered up on 2 mm foam dots. For the berries that probably should have been white have I also used quite a lot of glossy accent. I have also used stickles in silver around the white boarders to add some more sparkle to the card. So pleased that the Christmas cards are on the go already. I might even end up with as many as I need this year. They are really shiny IRL. I will see if I can fix the photo later on today. Maybe the sun will show up, who knows?

We are sponsored by
Crafty Sentiments who are offering the winner a choice of 3 digi's from their store

and The Craft Barn who are offering a £10 voucher for use in their store

Well folks, that's all for today. I wish you a wonderful weekend and lots of happy stuff. I will take it very easy and try to get my painful body to work very slowly so maybe the pain will ease for a while.

Punches and/or dies

Morning and hello! I know, two days in a row. How strange!? But with a new year and the old one ending with 53 weeks etc I have now the Paper Shelter and Passion for Promarkers the same week and was able to switch team over at the Winter Wonderland, otherwise everything would end up at the same week. Thanks for making it possible Eileen and Alison. :) Today it's time for the Paper Shelter and the theme is set to Punches and/or dies.

Ok then, I have a card but it's not yet finished. I ended up spending a little longer in the "sports hall" yesterday than expected. My oldest was playing an indoor tournament in soccer and the played brilliant and ended up in the finals. Huge loss there but they have never played as good indoor as they did today. Well, maybe last week then. It have been a really busy time with lots of soccer the last week. Two tournaments each for the boys and it takes a day or three to get back to normal. Even longer now when I have so much trouble with my fibro. Worst is the head aches that is hitting me more or less everyday. Thinking maybe my meds have something to do with that as well, not just the tenison in the shoulders...

I keep saying it must turn, and I will stick to that. I will try to do more relaxation and work out more hopefully that will bring the tension in the muscles down, but I find it so boring. Have over done this with work outs before and had to tell myself that I hate it. I have been successful in that. :)

The card then. I have used yet another boy's image from the Shelter. This one is called "Adorable fireman". I've been a bit naught and changed the number on the helmet as the youngest have a friend celebrating his 8 birthday early in the year, so thought he would get this one. He is coloured with my Letraset markers and I've tried to keep the card fairly clean looking. The designer papers are from We are memorie keepers, an old pad I found laying around.

The dies I have used is from Moa Pyssel, it's the sentiment die, the stars are from sizzix. And the border punch is from Fiskars. Sorry once again about the photo. It's snowing here today and the light is shifting from one minute to the other and I really have not figured out how to work in a good way with my big camera yet. Too big files even set on the lowest size. Maybe I should spend some time working on that when everything get back to normal again and then some training with the new element version I bought before Christmas. :)

As always when it comes to the Paper Shelter challenges we have a gift voucher up worth $30 playing with any TPS product and three images is up for anyone that plays with a different brand.

Well, this is it for today. We're waiting for you over at the Paper Shelter and the challenge is nice and easy. Punches and/or dies is our theme of the week.

Monochrome

Long time no seen. I have been taking some time off to relax and do other stuff during the last month. And it have been good. Now it's back to normal again with a few challenges coming in the near future and then I guess it will keep going as normal.

I have been and still are in heavy pain so I really hope that this will work out the way I want too. I'm in a quite deep depression that at the moment is going up and down, and to that it's the pain that feels like someone is trying to burn my back. It's very intense and not even the heavy drugs helps at this point. But it can only get better can't it?

The first challenge of the year is for Passion for Promarkers and we start off with a real challenge. Monochrome. That means you used one colour for everything but of course in different shades. I have used grey scale as I think that's the true monochrome way to go. I have used a TPS image that I really like, he have such cool look and it won't be long before my own kids are teens, at least not when it comes to how they handle life.

I am sorry that the card is a bit dark. It's snowing here today and is very cloudy so this was the best I could do. I have kept away from the designer papers this time and used some die cuts from Sizzix and fussy cut the image. I have also used a "grattis" die that I got from my friend Annelie for Christmas. It says congratulations in Swedish. Some enamel dots and arrows are also used. Everything goes in black, grey and silver.
