Summer birthday

Morning and hello! Time for a new post from me today and today it's time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. Our theme this week is "Summer birthday". That simply means we want to see a birthday card with kind of light colours or very bright colours that brings your mind to summer.

I have used a new image called Josephine. A nice charming image with a theme I love. Love those costumes, the old fashion. It's stunning. Today I have coloured with my Letrasetmarkers and some pencils as well. My old LM's is running low and I am not too fond of the new ones. Anyway. I got her coloured and on a card. It might be a strange image for a summer birthday but we always have out door theatre here in my little town and once or twice I've gotten tickets to see these on my birthday, during the summer. :)

I have used some Maja design papers for this card, I think they are from Sofiero collection but not totally sure. It's some left overs that got to work this time. Always feels great to finish off a card knowing that you could finish off some leftovers. I have also used a bunch of die cuts on this card, mostly from Magnolia, Sweden. Pearls, a ribbon bow, a butterfly charm and letter stickers from Panduro is used as decorations. The sentment says congrats in swedish just like a birthday card should.

I have to keep this short as I cut myself on a die, a sharp edge point that I was about to cut off but made a bit of a mess with my finger first. Nothing planned, just very painful at the moment, and very bloody. Managed to keep it way from my card at least but I feel very clumsy with the patch on. Will be gone tomorrow I guess.

As always when we have a challenge over at the Paper Shelter do we have a gift voucher worth $30 up for grabs if you play with a TPS image. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice.

Anyway, take good card and do something that makes you happy!

Snowmen!

Morning and hello! Yet another post from me this week. How amazing! That have not happend in many, many months I think. LoL And do you know what, I keep going with my Christmas cards and snowmen as well. They are so easy to colour in that even my non working vrists can handle it. So here we go!

The theme over at Winter Wonderland is this two weeks challenge "Snowmen" So on your card we want to see a snowman or two, nice and easy. There is a trillion of snowmen images of all different kinds out there. My snowman is called Snow happy and you find him here.

Visar Stamping Studio_Badge.jpg
Our sponsor this time is Stamping Studio and here is some info about them.

Stamping Studio is proud to sponsor for you! The prize is one image from each artist. Join us at our Facebook group Stamping Studio for freebies and specials.

And here is about my card. The sweet image is coloured with a mix of copics and Letraset Markers now known as Winsor and Newton. I dugg out a very old pad with Christmas/winter design papers. I think it might be Dovecraft but not sure. It's really think and I started to wonder if I had used it at all, but it's a big mess and the front and back is missing so I must have. It's only a very heavy load of papers in the pad. LoL

So there it is. I went blue on this card, don't ask me why and now is even my photo looking blue, but no time to fix that right now. A grey, broad ribbon from Panduro, some card candy and a die cut from Joy Design I thing is my decorations for this card. It has been fun to make cards again, but I feel rusty and and everything gets crocked. Oh well, I will get into it for real again. Just need to catch up on my sleep and energy. My oldest have managed to make me promise to work out with him at the gym, so I might get more energy after doing that for a while. He turns 11 in November and has gotten his first gym card but he has to work out with an adult, that would be me, right? I prefere to colour but if this gets him going it will be worth it.

So that's all from me for today and for you who celebrate Midsummer today! May it be a great one!

Take care, and do something that makes you happy!

Sketch time!

Morning and hello! I am back again, sun burned and tired and with some Christmas inspiration for you all. Yes I know, but you know I am so behind with my Christmas cards that I have only one choice, well maybe two. One is to get them done, the other is to buy Christmas cards and that really doesn't feel right to me.

So this week over at Passion For Promarkers do we have a sketch as our theme. It's a nice and easy one and you can flip it either way. I have used it up side down. Here is how the loveyly sketch looks.

Denise Morgans foto.

The image I have used is from Teddy Bo Company and you find it here. It's a sketch look of a snowman that I really love. I went fairly dark on the colours here I feel and I used a white gel pen to go around it all. All to match the ribbon. Now it looks really hard on the photo but it isn't as bad IRL. The designer papers are from a no name brand that I have had for ages. Some of the dp's are fabby others has really strange colours to them. I pick the best ones.

I have just used a sentiment to decorate, I think it's from Marianne Design. A black and white Christmas ribbon, might be from Panduro and a metal corner that I bought from PYHobby.

Sponsoring the challenge is Ppinkydolls and one lucky winner will recieve 3 digi images from their store. A nice and lovely prize for sure.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Tie a bow

Morning and hello! Thanks for dropping by and visiting today am I showing a card for the new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. This time our theme is "Tie a bow". Nice and easy. You can tie a bow with ribbon, twine, lace etc. Or you can make it out of paper, as long as it's 3D how to speak.

I know that I will have a real lack of Christmas cards when that times come as I have not made that many so far this year. So I thought that I should get a least one card done for now. So I did but I didn't colour myself this time. I used one of Veronicas pre coloured images as I struggle a bit with my hands again. They are a bit stiff and doesn't work like they should.

Anyway I have used Running for Christmas the pre coloured version as mentioned. I have paried it up with some dp's from NitWit and LOTV, it's from two different collections that I don't know what they are called. The front is missing. I have used some vanilla cardstock to lighten things up a tiny bit. I have used the old dear fiskars punch and raised the bottom of that panel.

A doily as a back drop and a red ribbon to that. I glued down a gemstone heart and a tiny, tiny heart charm on the card as well. I got about 200 of those but they are so small so I always forget to use them, even if I try to have at least one charm on each card. That idea could go better, but hey I am working on it. I have also use a few glitter pens in green gold and silver. Kind of looks a bit too much on the nose, but IRL it's totally ok. Promise! :)

Well take care and do what makes you happy!

Birds, bugs or butterflies

Morning and hello! A new post from me! It nearly didn't happen as I am in tons of pain again. The weather keeps changing from warm to cold, from dry to moist all the time and I can't deal with that but here I am. 😊

With some adjustments I managed to make a card for our new fun challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. We have the fun and fitting theme of "birds, bugs or butterflies" on this week and how fun isn't that for a theme? You can add a charm, have them on an image, on the dp's etc. Just as long as one or more shows on your creation. Nice and easy!

I have used an old and sadly forgotten stamp from Sheena Douglas, it's a set with a few sentiments and two butterflies so I decided to use one of each as they are fairly big. I stamped on aquarel paper and stamped twice: once with archival ink and once with some watermark ink and them embossed the whole thing. Then dug out my as sadly forgotten about aquamarkers. But now they have been put to use once again. At least once from time to time. The sad thing is that I forget about how to use them the best way in between. I know I get less pain from colouring with them compared to the other markers, still it's the originals I go back too.

The card today is really simple as I went with one of the butterflies in the set and then coloured in colours that I was in the mood for. Maybe I should have kept it more brown, but I had a red and yellow day. 😊 Then a little blue/lilac as a background colour to all of that and then on to a couple of layers of card stock. The sentiment is stampt with archival ink, colour coffee. Some pearls on top and I had a card made. Really happy I got it done!

Our sponsor today is Petal Lu who offer a 30 % off in their store and there is also a set of Winsor/Newton markers up for grabs. (Vibrant tones) How nice that is together right?

Well, trying to keep it short to get off some pain so take care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs
Marie
