Pick and mix

Hello and good morning! Friday at last and I can't wait to get some rest. Had to go a take an injection in my shoulder the other day and it has been hurting even more afterwards, but this morning it finally feels lots better.

Well this is my final post for this week and I end it with yet another card made with a Paper Shelter image. This one is also from this year's collection of Christmas and winter images. And it's totally adorable. It's called Holy Night. It took me a while to colour this one but I got there in the end. But so worth it. I have just like earlier this week used the Back to Basic Modern paper pack from Dovecraft for my card. I am so in love with these papers and the wonderful colour combo. A little softer than the red ones and love that at the moment. The colour green is so peaceful and spread calmness.

So this card is made for our new challenge over at Winter Wonderland and our theme is to pick three embellishments from our given list. As always I had a hard time sticking to just three of them, but you only have to use three ok.

The list of choices is these
pearls / gemstones
lace
ribbon
snowflakes
flowers
brads
pins

Well, as I love everything that has to do with winter and christmas cards I have quite a bit of embellishments match up this theme. I kind of had to stop myself from adding more to the already overloaded mix. My pick from the list is the following: pearls (got those from my friend Annelie), lace (got this lovely one from my friend and teamie Gail), ribbon, flowers and snowflakes. I also added some golden rod stickles and some flowersprays to the mix.

Sorry it's a bit blurry, I'll get it fixed during the day

Ok, time for a final day in school before the weekend starts. We're doing tons of parties this week. Both boys are off to Halloween parties (which I so don't like but at the same time I don't want them to be left out, at least only one is trick or treating). Then we have Willy's 8 year old party for relatives, but as everyone couldn't make in on Saturday, we're doing the same thing on Sunday... How much fun it will be, and so much rest... not! LoL

The Paper Shelter
Sponsoring us this challenge is "my" beloved Paper Shelter and the winner is up for a wonderful gift vocher worth $20. Really nice isn't it?

I will also light a candle or two and remember the loved one we lost. One of my oldest sports heros passed away this Wednesday, and just thinking of it makes me cry. I will forever cherrish the memories of Klas Ingesson, one of the hardest working soccer player in the world who sadly lost his battle against cancer only 46 years old. But more than that he was a true human that stood up for what he believed and spread love around him. RIP Mr Ingesson!

Take care!

2 or 3 word sentiment

Morning and hello! The week has soon passed and the weekend is here again. How fast it's passing! Do you know that it's only a few months left before Christmas is here? I keep going on my Christmas cards and today is no exception.

You know that I am on four different design teams and this week the Paper Shelter is sponsoring three of them, so I am having a TPS week. The card I show today is made for the challenge over at AUD sentiments where we are having the theme of "2 or 3 word sentiment". That means YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SENTIMENT with 2 or even 3 words in it on your creation. Not that hard you know, like Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, On your birthday etc.

For the first time have I used the image called Hope. I was a bit scared of it at first as there is some fine details, but it went ok after all I must say. I managed to stay on my plan and use grey as my main colour on the image with details from red and green. I coloured with my Letraset Markers this time as well. I even managed to keep my embellishments in white and grey. Well, a tiny bit of red in the pearl string from Panduro as well, but the card needed that to pop a bit.

Sorry the pearl string looks really light here, but it's dark IRL

I have once again used an old sketch from the CLP challenge blog. The perfect library when you want sketches with many layers and details.  From time to time that is lots of fun and especially when I make Christmas cards I enjoy it. I miss this challenge.

My designer papers are from Maja design and the new winter / Christmas collection A gift from me or something like that. I picked out the green papers for this as grey/silver and green together looks smashing! My flowers are a mix from WOC and I am Roses once again. Also the little bells comes from WOC. There is also a flower "thingie" from Magnolia added to the mix. The fun border punch is from the super market and was great with all the greens on the card. A pearl maker is used for the snow flakes as well as some stickles in the "colour" picked fence. The rose ribbon is either from WOC or Ribbon girls.

Well then, sponsoring us over at AUD sentiments this week is "my" dear old Paper Shelter and I hope you will come and join us in our "2 or 3 word challenge". You have one more whole week to take part in this fun challenge. You can win a gift voucher worth $15. How great isn't that?

Is it too early for Christmas?

Sounds a bit strange to have that as a title of a challenge in the end of October, but so I decided and that how it's going to be for the coming week over at the Paper Shelter. We want to see Christmas cards of all kind, not only winter card. Christmas it is! Just to make it clear the theme is "IS IT TOO EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS?"

So I have had a hard week with a final test yesterday, and the rest of it tomorrow so I try to keep this short and sweet. I am so tired and my eyes can hardly keep open today. How fun it will be to study later on today. Well, not really. :(

As image have I used one of my favourite christmas images ever called "December 26". I totally adore this image. It sums the whole thing up how to speak. How tired you get after all the fun celebrations that goes on during this period of the year. He is colored with my Letraset family and the designer papers are from Dovecraft "Krafy Christmas". Love those too.

It's a clean simple card design that I have used to keep the image talking. I have used a ribbon as decoration together with some pearls, and that's all. Not getting over board with this one. LoL

As always we have a gift voucher worth $30 up for grabs if you play with any TPS product. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three (3) digis of your choice. Come on now crafters we know that you love these images and we would really like to see a few more of the Paper Shelter images.

Well, I hope to see all your fabby creations taking inspiration from all of the wonderful cards my teamies has made. Smashing from all of them. Just fabby looking cards!

Add some sparkle

Morning and welcome to my corner of the world! Today we have a new challenge up for you joy over at PFP. The theme is "Add some Sparkle". That's nice isn't it? I love sparkle but there is something I don't like with it, it's so hard to take a photo of!

We have gotten our winter hour back by now and it gets dark quicker and quicker each day now, so I am sorry about the photo. There was just not much enough time to take a better one. But you got a whole extra hour you say, well I did! But then I lost it. LoL

For this card have I used a really old image from the Paper Shelter, doesn't make it less cute, does it? I am kind of having a TPS week here as all my coming cards this week is sponsored by the Paper Shelter so I thought, why not take it the whole way? So I did, you have a Christmas/winter themed week ahead of you if you visit me the coming days. :)

The glittery letters looks even more sparkling here than in real life... lol

Well, then. The designer papers are from Dovecrafts and the line Back to Basics Christmas (modern). I adore the wonderful colours in this pad and it's a big chance you get to see more of my cards dressed in these papers. I love the green, greyish blue together and browns. Just yummy! I followed a sketch that I found over at Lili of the Valley as I am really lacking designer inspiration at the moment. It's such joy to colour, but figure out what to do with it, not that easy at the moment. I have also printed my images fairly large lately, not leaving room for much more on my creations.

This card only have a ribbon and a few gemstones as decorations. Well and the snowy stuff from Anitas. My snowflakes on the image is even leaving a shadow as they became a bit high this time and my angle with the camera became a bit strange. Oh well, it's a card and I love the image. I have used the snow flake border from Magnolia, Sweden once again. And the big snow flake is made with a Joy die that I bought cheep during the spring. :) I have used a swedish die for my sentiment and it says Merry Christmas in swedish. I used some glitter card paper from I think, Dove craft as well. And it is mega glittery. It even shows here. Also for spakle there is glitter on the snow tex and a gold glittery border around my card.

Sponsoring us this week is Polka Doodles that offer one winner one digi of their choice. So come on now and that the chance of winning a lovely looking image.

And I can't wait to see your sparkly creation! Come on and join us now!

Tropical Christmas

Hi and happy weekend to you all! A "long" week is coming to an end and it feels really good. This is my final post for this week and this is by far the harderst one I had to made this week. It's time for our new challenge over at Winter Wonderland and the theme is set to "Tropical Christmas". That means either an image that relates to tropical Christmas. Like islands, palm trees, resting Santa in the sand etc. Or you can just use lots of warm bright colours. Like orange, yellow, red, brown etc.

I never thought I would be able to get a card done with this theme. But I made it! I and my youngest was sitting infront of the TV last week when he was sick and did some colouring together. I had planned to use this image for another challenge but all of the sudden I am sitting there with my markers is yellow and orange and colour my snowman from Wee stamps in all the warm colours I could think of. The end result is this. It might be more of a autumn Christmas but I am so pleased with how my Snow man turned out. And do you know what? I LOVE my stash! I even had totally crazy coloured Christmas/winter papers from Crate Paper in my stash. They where perfect for this. I don't think that I ever had use them, but now I have. Thank you me! LoL

My snow man is coloured with my Letraset Markers and then paired up with all those crazy coloured designer papers from Crate Papers. I have also used a few dies from Magnolia Sweden, both an old Christmas lace die and flower and snow flake border from the new club kit. I did also go bananas with my golden stickles as it went soo well with the colours. A paper doily from Panduro and that is about it.

Our sponsors this week is Whiff of Joy who offers a stamp of winners choice. (Must be in stock).

And to that we also have Crafty Sentiments offering three digis for one lucky winner.

Well,  I hope that you, just like me take the chance of being challenge and give it a try. It is acutally lots of fun trying out something that you doesn't do that often. This for sure was the first for me in this bright fun colours, but there is still plenty of papers in that pad, so I might need to make a few more of those bright Christmas cards. :)

Anything goes with a sentiment

Morning to you all. How are you? Hope you're having a wonderful week so far and have some really fun stuff planned for the weekend. I hope that we will be able to go, the whole family and watch a new movie with the kids; Lasse Majas dektektivbyrå. A big favourite series of books here at home that now is made into a movies with real actors. Sounds fun!

It' Thursday today and that means I have a new card to show you. We are having a really easy theme set over at AUD sentiment challenge blog this time. It's the final week of the theme of "Anything goes with a sentiment!" Don't forget your sentiment on your creation otherwise you won't have a chance of winning the lovely prize from Lacy Sunshine. The prize up for grabs is 3 digis from Lacy Sunshine.

I have dug out some old papers from my stash from Docrafts range Daisy and Dandelion and friends. Think the pack is called "Penelope and Percy". The image I have used is called  MaryBoo's CandyCane. I was in no mood for traditional Christmas colours when I made this card so pink and greyish blue it is. Kind of nice I think. I used an old sketch from CLP challenges that closed about a year ago, but the sketches are smashing so I reuse them from time to time. Especially when I need to find some extra inspiration, like now when I don't feel too good because of this so not wanted cold. I need to prepare for a final exam of logistic and this couldn't have come at a more wrong point of time. Oh well, just have to do the best out of it.

For embellishments I have used my normal stash of pearls, flowers, a piece of roseribbon and ordinary ribbons. The sentiment comes from a Christmas sentiment set from YouDo.

I hope you come and join us in this simple challenge of ours over at the AUD sentiment challenges.

Love n hugs

Monsters or Mythology

Hi there! It's once again the B-teams turn to host the new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. So this post is all about my card for the new challenge over at the Paper Shelter.  Our theme is set to "Monsters or Mytholgy". That means we want to see furry monsters, sweet looking fairies, a zoombie walking or what ever you can think of that we all have heard of and we even might to believe is out there for us to find.

Well, since I am not as much into mosters and halloween and scary stuff at all, I chose to use an old favourite image of mine. I does remind me of one of my nieces, so I think I will use this for her birthday card. The image is called a little bit grumpy and is so sweet.  She is also on sale at the moment, so pop on over to the Shelter right away to find her and some other wonderful images on sale! She is coloured with my Letraset Markers and paired up with some Maja design papers from the summer. I had yet to use them even if it hurts. :)

Oh well... what more is it to say about this card then? I used the PTW challenges latest sketch from a few weeks ago as my starting point. I used some of the embossing stuff that was so popular last winter. Dug out a few big flowers in pink and white washed them with gesso. Added a few ribbons, a key charm, a bow, a little rose and a few pearls and that was it.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

As always we have a gift voucher worth $30 up for grabs if you play with any TPS product. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three (3) digis of your choice. Come on now crafters we know that you love these images and we would really like to see a few more of the Paper Shelter images.

Do pop on over to the Paper Shelter blog and have a look at what my teamies has been up to.

Oh Baby!

Good morning to you all. Hope you had a great time while I have been home watching sick kids again. It was a whole month since last so not too bad. LoL Another thing happening last week was that I have become an auntie again, to another little baby girl. So the theme set this week for our Passion for Promarkers challenge was very fitting; "Oh Baby!"

I have had this image coloured for a while and have done it with my Letraset Markers and some Prisma pens. I have paired the wonderful image from Teddy Bo with some wonderful fresh designer papers from Lili of the Valley / NitWit collections... I have used the pads called Pastel Dreams and Up Up and away. For the first time in ages I have also made my card an easel one. Fun, fun, fun!

A big bunch of flowers from WOC and I am Roses. Pearls from Bunny Zoe, charm from either Bildmålarna or ROX stamps (short memory or way too many charms). I have also used a few pearls swirls from Prima. Some details made with stamps from LOTV, Magnolia and Stemple Glade. The straws used for the pennants is from Lagerhaus. Ribbon from stash and yes it is bright but not as bright as showing on my photos. Eerk! I have used some gesso on top of the flowers and then some old lose glitter that I found laying around.

Well, that's about it for this card. Sponsoring us this week is Letraset with a set of Metallic markers. How useful for the coming Christmas season. Remeber that you have to use Letraset products to have a chance on the prize!

Ok my friends. I see you tomorrow again with a new card for our new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. Until then...

Red and Blue

Morning! Here comes my last post for this week. My dt-creation for the wonderful Winter Wonderland Challenge. I'm hosting this week and the theme of the week is red and blue. A bit of a challenge but it doesn't have to be that hard.

I kind of ran out of time as a meeting with the employment office took forever as we didn't really got along that well. I am having a hard time knowing what I want to do in the future and where so it's hard to get somewhere. We decided that I ad another class to pile I've been working on, this time I will take a class about purchase. It might be a good thing and match up well to the book keeping and logistics that I will finish soon. The only thing I know is that I need to get out and have a job, soon!!

However, I had the card planed in my head and thought I had plenty of time and then I didn't find my binder with all the coloured images in it. It probably would have been faster to colour a new one, but I found it in the end totally at the wrong place. :)

My card then! I have used an old stamp from Sugar Nellie. Isn't it adorable? I have coloured with distress ink this time as it's easier on the vrists when they hurt. Anyway, the wonderful designer papers are from Bildmålarna Sweden. This pad is really lovely. Nice wonderful designs in wonderful colours. I have used some bells that I bought to use on my Christmas cards last year but never got around to use. Some flowers from both WOC and I am Roses. Some lace from Prima, a snow flake charm either from Bildmålarna or Rox stamps. Some pearls from Bunny Zoe. Die cuts made with spellbinder die and the club kit from Magnolia. (You hardly see them under my flowers).

Sponsoring us over at Winter Wonderland is

Halloween sentiment

It's time again, I am back with my third card this week. This time I am offering my creation for our latest challenge over at AUD sentiments. The theme is set to "Halloween sentiment". Can't go wroing here can you? You make a halloween card and then add a sentiment that we can see on the card. Well, being a little nagging here as many of you missed out on top spots last time because there was no sentiment. :(

Ok, here we go. I don't celebrate Halloween and I don't let my kids do it either. I hate it when they are only showing horror movies on the tv. This is really not my  time of the year how to speak. I prefere All Saints Day when you can light a candle and remember the friends and families who has passed. That's more my thing. However, this card was fun to make even if I don't know what I shall use it for.

I had fun colouring the image. I love the thick lines! Totally different from my normally and mostly used TPS images. I kind of like the fun dp with the haunted houses on it and I love the bright colours of Halloween. So something good in this as well. :) I used a sketch from SugarPea challenges and I found it nice. I am not sure that the challenge is still "alive" but I like it at least. The dp's by the way is Echo Park and they are digital. The sentiment and gemstones are from my stash. Comes from an old Molly club kit. Tons a dp's and decorations I need to use up. Well, that has to be done somehow. Better get the kids to start scrap and make cards again, don't I?

Sponsoring us this week is Bugaboo and the prize is 7 digis to the winner. Thank you for that Bugaboo!

Pearls!

Happy Midweek to you all! Oh boy! I wish it was Friday today already. It feels like I have slept nothing the last week. I am so terrible tired. Our days are really short here in Sweden now. Darkness settle early and well, I feel more tired even if I love this time of the year to bits. Later on tonight we have the final outdoor practise for the oldest soccer team and then there will be about 1,5 month break from that one. Feels really good and sad at the same time. But the break is really welcome by now. We then move on and play on indoor grass from there on and a tournament will take place right after Christmas. Always a nice way to spend a day, watching the kids play soccer.

Anyway, you are not here to listen to my "diary". Hopefully you are here to see my card for the new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. I have set the theme to "Pearls". A nice and easy theme I hope. I want many of you to take part in this weeks challenge.

I took the easy way out this time and used one of Veronica's tasteful signs again. Another one with chocolate theme. Closest to heart. The designer papers I have used is also from the Paper Shelter. I am sorry but I don't remember which two sets I used. I has been a bit too much here lately. I am glad that I remember as much as this. :)

To break thinks up a little I have used tons of nick nacks for this card. Small metal corners, lots of flowers, a doily, a wonderful piece of lace that I got from my wonderful teamie Gail. And to follow the theme of my own challenge, there is some pearl swirls from Prima used as well. And to lower my stash a bit I also used two wonderful pearl pins. How much does two pins actually means in the long run? Well, hopefully a bit. I need to clear this room so badly. I have no clue of what this I got.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

Ok, back to this again... God! I am hopeless when it comes to this. Never know when to stop do I? Well, I just wanted to tell about the prizes you can win...

As always we have a gift voucher worth $30 up for grabs if you play with any TPS product. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three (3) digis of your choice

Well, time to sign off for today. Tomorrow I will be having another creation up here on my blog. Welcome back then!

Love n hugs
