Eat drink and be merry!

Morning and hello! Time for another challenge over at Passion for promarkers. Still being knocked over by the cold that won't give in, the cardmaking hasn't gone too well this time. But hey! It's better than nothing! I finally got my tooth fixed yesterday so I have a splitting headache on top of everything else but at least it's done.

The theme over at Passion for Promarkers is this week "Eat, drink and be merry!" Took me a while to find an image as I didn't had anyone in mind. But after looking around in my big pile of TPS images I found "For Santa". I know I would have done it justise if I had done the colouring before I went to the dentist but as I only have "fun" things going on at the moment I had to try to get the kidney cat to eat as well before I went to the dentist, so no colouring time.

It was really odd but I actually had everything done for the card except the image when I went to the dentist. I have now learned: do the colouring before the dentist and the result will be a lot better. 😉

I have used some digital dp's from Simple Stories and the Mistletoe Kisses collection. The sentiments is from that pack as well. I have finally found a quite cheep paper to print my digital papers on and it isn't any shine on them. I don't like the shiny stuff for my cards. I have used some pearl string that I was hoping will set your mind to snowballs or snow flakes. A few ginger breads as deco as the theme is eat and drink. A few pearls and enamel dots has found their way to the card as well.

Clearly Besotted Stamps

Sponsoring this challenge is Clearly Besotted stamps who is offering the winner 1 stamp set (that has to be in stock)

Well my friends, by the time you read this am I still probably in bed and plan to stay there for the rest of the day to make the headache go away and then I even might be able to go to the meeting in the soccer club later in the evening, who knows?

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Another one for the CC at Pyssloteket

Morning and hello! I managed to convinced myself to make yet another entry to Pyssloteket's CC. This was a bingo board and the main theme of the card had to be male of any size. My bingo line was "Blue, grey, bling (enamel dots in my case) and patterned paper". And the Paper Shelter have recently introduced a new image called "SWAG" and that's what my youngest keep saying all the time here at home at the moment. Besides that I love to colour this kind of images.

I printed some fabby dp's from Simple Stories as I try to buy them digitaly at the moment. A lot more cheeper than the real stuff that I use for my photo albums most of the time. These dp's are a mix from a few different packs; happy new year, say cheese and colour vibe bold.

The colours became a bit dark here but the card is in dark grey, blue both dark and light and some black. The brick wall in the frame is de-embossed with some distress ink put on the folder before adding the paper and into the mashine. The back of the embossing looked lots better than the embossed side. I coloured that side as well, just in case. A few e-dots and some stars made with a Joanna Sheen confetti die I think is my decorations for the card. I have also used a silver pen to colour in the bling bling the kid is wearing. The glasses have some glossy accent on them as well for that perfect look you know.

Well this is all from me for today. We're not allowed to take part in any more challenges with our creations than this CC so this will be all from me for today.

A little more of that Christmassy thing

Morning and hello! Long time no seen. I have been totally knocked out of a cold that refuses to give in and I am so tired all the time. It might have something to do with my broken tooth on top of that. But now is it only two more days before I get it fixed. Yiippiii! Well I don't like going to the dentist, but I am tired of the pain the tooth gives me. Anyway, it's not why I am here. My boys are at my brother's place and celebrate his oldest's birthday but I really couldn't go both cold and headache from the tooth so I have been home a long for a few hours. The plan was to go to bed and do some crocheting on my second blanket but I ended up in the craft room instead. It's nice too. So now is my hands covered in gesso, chalk mist, glimmer mist, glitter glue and some other kind of spray mist and while that is drying my plan is to start up a new project for the CC that goes on over at Pyssloteket. A FB-group where there is a few challenges going on until next sunday.

This card is made for the extra challenge that was only up for today. A card with 10 musts on it.
Glitter of some kind stickles or lose glitter, Stamp either motive or sentiment, stars, brads, circle, handwritten (I dug out my walnut ink for the first time in ages and used my calligraphy pen on my ready and done image, foolish or brave? LoL), gold, turquoise, patterned paper and stencil (I don't even own a stencil so I made my own, worked better than I thought)✌.

Everything is on the card. First time ever with a stencil and I used gesso in my second try with that, worked alot better than glitter glue that I wanted from the beginning. Instead did I pour golden glitter into the wet gesso and it turned out pretty nice. I have used brown cardstock so that the golden accent wouldn't look totally wrong with the all the turquoise on my dp's.

Ok, this is all for today, I think. I start to get tired now and my head is spinning. But first some chatting with my new yarn supplier. Ordered some fabby yarn in an FB-group that I joined a while ago. The world is small when you find out that it really is the mum of PH's fiends from kindergarten. They have lost contact now as they are in different schools, but we live 10 minutes apart. Red altert going out now as it might be a bit too expensive to keep shopping for all of this fabby multicoloured yarn from Germany there. 😉

More of Christmas

Morning and hello! It's already November 18th, can you believe it? Wasn't it July last week? Time do fly by don't it? All my posts at the moment seems to be Christmassy and so is this one. I have no card for you today but a simple altered round box that might become Christmas gift wrap when the big day come. That is if I can get the lid to work like it should. 😉 It has probably expanded a bit when the gesso went on so it's hard work to get it on and off. Hope it will be better when it's totally dry again.

Today I am presenting the new challenge over at the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog and our theme is poinsettias or snow is falling. Either theme is fine by us for you to use. I have gone with the flowers this time.

The box is from a set from IKEA that I bought a year ago or so. All in lovely bright green that wasn't really the colour of the day how to speak. I have painted the whole thing with gesso before I covered it with some dp's from Maja Design. I had already cut of the banner of the papers so I don't know from what collection it is. Probably last years Christmas collection.

I used both front and second side of the paper. The box has a funny gap between the lid and body of the box so there is a space between them both that you can't really do nothing with as it would make it even harder to close and open. I took some rose lace on the lid to cover some of it up with out covering it how to speak. And then I used a thin cotton lace at the bottom. I think that one is from Prima.

The poinsettias are made with a die from Magnolia Sweden. I used some craft and red card stock to make them as I was in no mood at all to colour when I made this project. The leafs are made with a MS punch and the metal that shows under the flowers are metal snowflakes that I really love and bought a really big pack of a month ago or so. I covered the flowers in red stickles from TH and some dry glitter on top of that for a frosty look.

Sponsoring this challenge is Crafty Sentiments that offers three digis for one lucky winner. How great isn't that?

Well then, let the weekend begin. I hope you find some time to relax and do what makes you  happy. For me it will be to start planning the stuff that I hope to do to prepare for Christmas. I look forward to that cosy time. Playing games and having fun with family.

Take care,

Christmas is coming, part 2

Morning and hello! Hope you had a great week with some time to make you relax and breath. I have spent quite some time with my crochet needle trying to get my mind of things. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Well, this is my Christmas is coming part II post. It happend that we had the same challenge name on both TPS challenges and Passion for Promarkers. It's my favourite theme and time of the year so I don't mind at all, and this is what I did for the PFP challenge post. 😊

I very rarely make tags, but this time I was in some kind of mood for that, only that my image was even thinner than I thought it should be so it got a bit unbalanced. Oh well, it was fun to make. Even if it doesn't goes all the way on my top list of makings. The image is from the Paper Shelter and it's really cute. He is of course coloured with my letraset markers.

I used a whole bunch of old papers from a Dovecraft paper pad that I have had for ages and it never seems to come to an end. LoL Forever lasting paper pads, could that be something? I have used a lot of die cuts on the tag as well. A big mix from ROX stamps, Magnolia, Joy Crafts etc. I have used some gesso both really washed out with water and the thick stuff. Some dry glitter and micro beads here and there. A few flowers, ribbon, lace, twin you name it and find it on here. A metal snow flake that I just adore is also used and a piece of rose ribbon.

Sponsoring this challenge for Passion for Promarkers is 2 Cute Ink with two images for a lucky winner, and to have a chance on the prize you need to use your letraset markers in any form: tria, promarkers, brush markers etc.

Well this is it for me for today. Now off to drop the first cat of to the vet. Then me to the dentist and then back to the vet with yet another bunch of cats and pick up the first one. Busy day ahead and I already feel the head ache.

Take time to relax and do something that makes you happy!

Christmas is coming, part 1

Morning and hello! As I have been down with heavy cold again, and it got on my joints again. So I have been staying very still for a week and a half and watched scrap booking videos on You Tube. Found a fabby scrapper going under the name of Mercy Tiara. And doing this card I realized that I have taken one or two of her tips with me. More clusters, more black lines, more wonky lines, staples that I never use. Let me just say, I had a blast making this card!

So here we go. I have used one of the newer christmas images from the Paper Shelter. It's called Santa's family selfie and you find it here. I love this fun, whimsical image that makes me smile, just as a bunch of the other great Christmas images you find over at the paper shelter.

Well going with a modern Santa taking selfies with his family doesn't stop me from using a quite classic Christmas paper collection called December Romance from NitWit collections. I just adore it and love, love, love that it has so much black in it. It totally rocks! The black might not be classic but it works perfect! So execpt from the staples and pearls on the card have I only used bits and pieces from this collection on the card. A a black marker and a white gel pen have helped me getting a little definiton here and there. The sentiment on the image is from a Gummiapan stamp just saying Merry Christmas in Swedish.

I also found some great "in between" paper and cardstock to print the dp's on, and it looks perfect. Too bad that the scrapbook store had ran out of it now when I need more of it. I think it will be perfect to print my digital Project life cards on as well. Looking forward to that as well.

As always when we have a challenge for you over at the Paper Shelter you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth $30. That is if you're playing with a TPS image. Playing with a different brand gives you a chance of winning three digis of your choice.

Well, I hope you like the card as much as I do, and most of all I had a fabby time making it. Take care and do what makes you happy!

Tweetmas wishes (Christmas birds)

Morning and hello! Time again for a new fun PFP challenge, this time with the lovely theme of Tweetmas wishes, in other words Christmas birds. Should not be any trouble getting a card done on that theme is it?

I have been playing a bit with this card. I have printed the image with the cute snowman in different sizes and fussy cut around them, all six of them. Took some time but the result of it is really fun I think. The back ground is stamped with a lawn fawn stamp and the forest and the hill shapes are also die cut with some different dies from Lawn Fawn and Gummiapan I think. It's a bit of a mess in my head when it comes to that part. A few MFT die cut birdies are on there too. The snow is heat embossed by the way.

The snow sentiment on the front is from Lawn Fawn as well. The inside sentiment is belonging to the original image and that have I used on the inside of my card.

It's a card with many layers and it was such fun project to deal with as I had plenty of time to do it and on the good part is that I had it on my desk for quite some time and worked little at the time. Worked out really well for me. Wish it could be like that more often. LoL

Sponsoring this challenge is All dressed up with a prize of two digis of your choice. How nice isn't that?

Now it's time for me to take a rest once again as the fever is running high here today and I really don't feel well when it comes to that part of my life, but otherwise it's quite good!

Take it easy and don't forget to do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs
Marie
