Anything Christmas

Morning and hello! Hope your week is good and that you have time to do something that you enjoy. Here it's still some soccer practise left and even a few games so I still spend some time with that. In between all the games I play with my craft stuff to relax.

Today is the start of a new challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge. Your easy way to get all of your Christmas cards done in time. Easy peasy as we always have the theme of Anything Christmas. So do come and join us. You will be spoild with different kind of inspiration for this challenge.

And then over to my card. I have a favourit brand when it comes to Christmas images and that is Lawn Fawn. Fun to colour and easy to make the same but still different. So this is the set called Christmas village used here. I have coloured with distress markers and some glitter pens in gold and clear. It doesn't show very well here but IRL it does for sure. The dp behind the scen is really old and I can't remember from where it is but it's nice to finish something that has been around for quite some time.

Well folks, that's all for today. I wish you a great week and hope that you will come and play with us over at the merry Christmas challenge. Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs
Marie

Rainbows or rainbow colours

Morning and hello! Welcome to my little corner of the blogging world. Hope you're having a good day so far and that your week is even better. So it's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. Can't believe how fast the time passes by. We are already in the end of September and I took a look in my Christmas stash. Not nearly as many cards as I need for the coming big season. So whatever the challenge is, I will some how make my cards for Christmas and since this weeks theme is Rainbows or rainbow colours it's a totally new challenge for me after all of these years with cardmaking. I have made a Christmas card with halloween colours before but never rainbow colours. LoL But here we go!

My image is from Sassy Cheryls once again. I made another card a few weeks back with another lovely image from Cheryl. It's called Blinkies Snowday Dreaming. I totally adore these images and they are totally amazing. They are all very well drawn and so much fun to colour. Give them a try, you will not regret it. As always when it comes to Passion For Promarkers have I used those markers nowdays know under the brand of Winsor & Newton former Letraset. I have fussy cut the image which is not a big challenge with this clean image. I gave the frame around the Snowman and birdy some rainbow colours even if I didn't use all of them.

I have also used some golden stickles for the inner part of the frame around the buddies and then added a few stickers from Heidi Swapp with golden glitter to tie it all together. Some golden pearls have I also used to keep it together. The designer papers are from Simple Stories and as I missed out on a few of the rainbow colours did I create a few layers with the missing colours to create yet another frame feeling to it all. I even fussy cut the layers around the image. It kind of disappeared without the layers and I really wanted the image to stand out from the background papers which is stripes from dp's that I have glued together to look like one. Some letter stickers from my stash gives the card a sentiment. You will find a few more cards made with this image in the coming weeks or months. I have way to fun colouring them. :)

Sponsoring this challenge is the Digi Stamp Boutique and the prize up for grabs is a gift voucher worth £10. Really nice isn't it? To have a chance of winning this lovely prize you have to colour your project with the beloved Winsor & Newton / Letraset markers. Nice and easy, right? Make sure to follow our theme.

This is over and out from me. Take some time and do something that you enjoy!

Make it digital

Morning and hello! Hope you're having a great week so far. And today it just got better as the Paper Shelter challenges start a new fun challenge. LoL The theme is set to "Make it Digtal" which just means that we want you to use a digtal image. You can do the rest as you wish. Colour it digital, or by markers or by pencils or etc.

I am in the middle of my Christmas makings and that is a lot of fun at the moment. Working my way through my favourite images. This one is called Santa Selfie. I love the cosy look of those two together. A really fabby image don't you think?

I have coloured with my Letraset / Winsor & Newton markers. A gel pen with white and some glossy accent's on the red nose, eyes and the camera eye on the phone. The designer papers are from Dove Craft and is called North Pole. Lovely muted colours in kraft, red and blue. Nice and lovely and a perfect match to Mr Christmas himself and his friend.

I have once again used some of all that twine that is laying around in my craft room together with half a million charms which is also used on this card. Some Card craft candy or what they are called is also used. In gold to keep with the warm colours of this card. Now I only have about 30 ones to make before Christmas this year. LoL

When you play with us here at the Paper Shelter Challenges you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth $30 when you play with a TPS image. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning 3 digis of your choice. Nice and easy. You won't regret trying out these lovely images.

Ok then, back to the crafting table and start creating again. I need just a few more cards. I wish you a lovely day and do something that makes you happy!

Wrap it up!

Morning and hello! Totally scary isn't it when I have this many posts going live the same week. Wonder what happened myself! This week we are working our way through colds. I was the last one on list for this one. How nice! It's not too bad, just enought to keep me at home with some ear pain that would work as a torture if anyone can make it happen on command. :( Just my way of getting colds I guess. Be a good thing that I am a pro when it comes to pain. LoL

Sponsoring this challenge is Sasayaki Glitter Digi stamps. The prize up for grabs is one digital stamp of winners choise. Such lovely price and I am sure you will find something that will get your creativity going.

Back to the fun life again, crafting. I am hosting this weeks challenge over at Winter Wonderland and I have chosen the theme of "wrap it up". I would like to see images with gifts on, or tons of winter clothes or even a real gift wrap with a Christmas theme. That might be a little too much to ask for in September but you might be at it already? I have started on my gifts and planning them. I always try to have a little something for everyone that celebrates with us over Christmas and use theme as decorations in the tree. It's something small like a lottery ticket or something and maybe a piece of candy. I think I will make a bunch of these boxes for this coming celebrations, but not all of them will have coloured images as the boxes goes into the trash when opened. We'll see!

I have coloured the image up twice in mini format as the box is only 8 x 5 cm or so in the long part of it. The short sides are 5 x 5 cm. And to make the image even if it's small have I used a big bunch of colours on the image and it kind of drowned in the colourful dp I have used for the box. It's from Lawn Fawn by the way, from the pad called Perfectly Plaid Christmas.

I have used a white decorative ribbon at the bottom of the box and a nice red one at the top to keep the box together. I have made the box with a die that I can't find any brand for. But it work out nicely. A few paper flowers have I also use on both sides of the box to jazz it up a little more.

Well time to hit the bed again and get some new nice energy flowing into my body. I am kind of tired of feeling low and not totally on the go. But it will get better because I feel tons more happy about life at the moment with colds and everything.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Anything goes - Christmas

Here is where I normally write "Morning and hello" but that would be totally wrong for this post as it goes live during evening. That means I need to have a new greeting line! Oh well, hello might do it for now.

This is my first post for the The Merry Christmas Challenge blog. I decided that I needed some "must do" to get all of my Christmas cards done in time and finding yet another Christmas challenge blog was my solution for that, and here I am! A proud member of the Merry Christmas Blog! And today is the first challenge with will always be: "Anthing Christmas". You can enter anything that you have made yourself that is made for Christmas. It can be cards, crochet or other handicrafts, scrapbook pages etc. I will probably go by the cardmaking most of the time but from time to time it might be something crocheted stuff or cross stitching. You never know!

Ok then my card for this challenge. I have once again used the fantastic image by Sassy Cheryl. He has just gotten a bit of a different look today. With pinks instead of read and a little more colourful dp's to that. I have only coloured with my alcomarkers today, no pencil added. Maybe I should have but that has to be another day. The dp's are from Lawn Fawn, two different Christmas/winter pads. The stars are made with a die from DooHickey, Magnolia Sweden. I cut the stars in a silver glitter card stock. Pearls and a doily is also the only extra decorations I have on this card. I used a border punch as well for little more decorations. My letter stickers spells out Merry Christmas and Happy new Year in Swedish. The stickers are from Panduro.

Ok, it would be really nice to have you joining us over at the this just for fun challenge blog. You know that you will need these x-mas cards soon, really soon.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Let it shine

Morning and hello! How are you? Hope you're having a great week so far. Here it's ok but I feel a bit tired from all the pain. Got some help last week from a lady who is specialist when it comes to feet and how we use them. She will tell my so called docs that I really need the special treatment to my shoes that I have had the last 25 years. All of the sudden they didn't think I did need them. At least I now know that I have some support. She could at least help me with one pair of shoes so I won't have to walk in wet shoes during the winter. They are totally worn down. So a tiny victory and got some extra time to fight for my rights! LoL Glad I am not 75 and have to take this fight each and everytime the politicians decide that it looks better with got profit results than helping their patients. Sick and tired of it all.

Ok, card time! So much more fun for you. :) We have the theme of "Let it shine" this week over at Passion for Promakers. It's a great challenge to get a Christmas card or two done using some mirri board or whatever you can think of that shines, maybe one of those fun little lights that you can buy and pop into a card? I don't have any of those but I have tons of mirriboard both the soft version and it's not that shiny so the mirri version is used here together with some glitter board both in white and silver.

Marie - let it shine

I have used a fun and charming image from the Paper Shelter called Running for Christmas. Isn't that the cutest mousie you ever have seen? He is coloured with my Letraset/Winsor & Newton markers. I have also used a few coloured pencils for extra shading. When they stopped making the trias I lost a bunch of shading options when they run out. I want the trias back, pronto! I want all of my gray scale markers back. I love them all!

The designer papers are from Carta Bella called Christmas delivery. A nice and quite bold paper pad. Love the green/black coloured dp. It's smashing! I used a few of my left over die cuts that I always save for times like this. Until I can buy a tiny cutting mashine that can have it's place on my desk, I will keep cutting tons at once. Some pearls are used for decore and dimension as well as a snowflake charm. Some twine that I really need to use up and some pearly stars as well. The letterstickers are from my stash and the distressed stamps in the back ground are from LOTV and from Prima. The bulb is coloured as the rest of the image and then some golden glitter pen for the gold and the bulb is covered in glossy accents and the when it still was wet I poured some lose glitter on to it. Nice and glittery shine to it all.

Sponsoring this challenge is Dies to die for and the prize up for offer is a gift voucher worth £15. How nice isn't that? So dig out your crafty stash and come on and play with us here at PFP. You have to use the Winsor & Newton former Letraset markers to have a chance of winning this fabbt prize.

Well then, this is all from me for today. I wish you a lovely week and do something that makes you happy!

Lots of layers

Morning and hello! Well not really but we can always pretend can't we? It's a really busy month September and each August I think I really should get some of my cards done now so I don't get behind in September. So far a big failure. LoL Well, late is better than never is what we deal with at the moment and that's ok for now. I am actually pleased to even present something that I have coloured on my own this week. I have so much pain that it feels almost impossible to hold on even to the thickest of markers. But with tons of breaks and breathing in between did I manage to get this creation done.

I have use the new fabby image from the Paper Shelter as it is for this card is made. I have used the image called Icehockey, and you find it over at the TPS store. Icehockey is one of the most popular sports here in Sweden and the hockey fever is running high where I live as our team is making it's way up in the series. Two more and we own the world! LoL My boss plays in the ladies team and one of my co-workers plays for the male team. Tons of sports talk at work, at least from time to time.

Ok, got a bit side tracked here. My card... I have coloured with a mix of markers both Letraset, winsor & Newton and copics. I like the pale blue aqua that copics have and since I madly in love with the paper pads from Lawn Fawn, well not much of a choice there. I have actually used two Christmas pads for this card.

Decorated have I also done. This time with some wood stars of different sizes that I have bought and just hoarded. I have also used a bunch of brick letters from Panduro. Have tones of those too and need to get them used up. Like that is ever going to happen! LoL Have also used some glossy accent's on the icy part, have just drawn a few lines with the GA to get some icey shine to the players skates.

As always when you play with us over at the Paper Shelter you have the chance to win a gift voucher worth $30 if you play with a TPS image. Playing with a different brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice. Be aware of that you have to claim your prize Saturday, the same week as the new challenge goes live.

Well, this is all from me for today. Wish you a splendid day and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs
Marie
