Memories or anything Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! How are you doing? Hope that you are doing fine and that you have a fabby week so far. The summer is here and this week are we here in Sweden celebrating Midsummer Eve. Always a nice project and lots of fun. Looking forward to it as we are going to my cousin and her husband. Almost as always.

So today I have a card to show you for The Merry Christmas Challenge. Our theme this week is set to Memories or Anything goes Christmas. The optional theme of Memories do also have the theme of Christmas of course, after all it is a Christmas challenge.

I have used a Tilda from Magnolia Winter kit from 2016 I think. I have a real passion for snow men and I have a tiny one on this creation. LoL Super cute and it was really about time that I used the image. I probably have 100's of stamps laying around that I never have used. I really need to start to use them, at least once, don't you think?

I have coloured with distress inks as it's a bit easier than colouring with my markers. Besides that it's kind of fun to do the distress colouring from time to time. I should do it more often. The images always get a bit too pink in their faces, but I will work on it. The designer papers I have used are from NitWit collections but I don't remember what it is called as I have it on my other computer.

Anyway, I hope that you will join us for our Christmas challenge this week. We are soon in July and after that is it soon Christmas time again.

Take care and do something that makes you feel good!

Polka dots or anything goes Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! How are you? Having a great week so far? I hope that you are doing fine and are ready for a new fun challenge over at TMCC. This week we have our normal Anything goes Christmas or you can go with our optional theme which this week is set to Polka Dots. Nice and easy challenge we hope!

Well friends I have been watching some classes on line with both photo editing and photo learning the last week and I am the first to say that I am not there yet. But I am getting closer to what I am looking for. Got some really nice shots the other week when my youngest was playing soccer. Fun stuff! This picture is a bit yellow and maybe a little too much but you got to try before you get tons better.

I was a bit lazy this week and used a topper from LOTV. It's really sweet but not my colouring, just a topper but for this one it was a perfect way to go. I have used one of Maja Designs paper pads. I think that is A Christmas gift for you. Not 100% sure but pretty. I have match the image up with some red and beige coloured papers from the pad. Then I decided to use some flowers and metal snow flakes. They are almost not showing up, but they are there. I also used some die cut leafs made with some dies from Magnolia, Sweden. The flowers are from my stash and probably are from I am Roses and Wild orchid Craft. Hope you like it!

Well my friends we are in June by now and that means that we only have 6 months left until Christmas is here. I hope you will come and join us for some Christmas fun and maybe you even get a card or two made this week.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs

Anything goes Christmas or Holly and Ivy over at TMCC

Morning and Hello! Welcome back to a new challenge over at the Merry Christmas Challenge again. It't time for a new fun challenge and our theme is always Anything goes Christmas or use our optional theme. This week it is "Holly and Ivy". I am going a bit wild this time and do the Anything goes theme with an old favourite stamp of mine from Bildmålarna. The only not so good thing about the stamp is that I can't remember what the name of it is. Oh well, it's there and it is cute!

I have coloured with distress inks for this one and paired up with some lovely wintery papers. They are really soft looking in their colours and the main colours are pale green grey and browns. Reallty soft and nice. But a bit hard for me to match up as I normally go with lots of colours. But I learn, slowly.

For decore on this one have I used some small metal cornerns bought from PY hobby and some lace from my stash. Luckly I bought quite a lot of this one so I still have plenty left to use on my creations.

Anyway, I hope you take the chance and come and play with us over at TMCC this week. You know that you will be happy that you started to create your cards early this year. :)

Love n hugs

Anything goes Christmas with option Plaid

Morning and hello! It's christmas time here in my blog corner again. We have a new challenge up for you over at The Merry Christmas Challenge. You can either make any Christmas card you like or you can use our optional theme of plaid. Nice and easy. Make it more challenging or not. It's totally up to you!

For this challenge have I followed the challenge and used the theme of plaid. I had an Magnolia image that I coloured ages ago with distress inks and then paired them up with some designer papers from Lawn Fawn. I don't remember if it's called Winter or what it was, but it's fairly new and it is really lovely with it's grey, white and turquoise colour combo.

It looks more like blue here but it's green blueish in real life. I have used an old sketch from Papertake Weekly. Their sketches are still a great source of inspiration for me. For decoration have I used a few of my old die cuts that is left overs from my other projects. They all go into a box where I pick them out when needed. It's so boring to bring out the die cut mashine that I always make way too much of them and keep for coming projects.

I have also used a bunch of enamel dots both round and heart shaped. A few Card Craft candies is also used for decoration on this card. I think most of the die cuts are made with a Lawn Fawn die called Mini Snow flakes or something like that.

Well this is all from me for now. I look forward to see what you all come up with for this week's challenge. Come on over to us over at TMCC and join us for the fun!

Take care and make the most of your day!

Banners or anything goes X-mas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! How are you doing? I hope everything is OK and that you have gotten some sunshine in your life. The spring is here. How I know? Soccer season is in full bloom.

Still even if spring is here I keep going with my Christmas projects. This time it's a bit simple but from time to time you have to do those projects as well. Our new weekly challenge is up over at The Merry Christmas Challenges. The theme this week is Banners or Anything goes Christmas.

These are a few cards/tags for gifts. I normally make a bunch of small cards for my pen friends. Yes, I still have this old fashioned hobby. I totally adore getting real letters in my little cabin shaped mailbox. It's the best thing. As good as getting a home made card in my letterbox. LoL These ones are made so I can use them as either cards or tags. I have left some plain inside and some has some sentiments. But as I prefere to keep them personal I will not show that.

But now I hope that you feel a bit inspired to make a project for our new challenge over at The Merry Christmas challenges this week. Anything Christmas or banners also Christmas themed.

Take care and do something that makes you happy.

Trees or Anything Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! Time for a new fun challenge over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. Our optional theme this week is Trees or you can always use our Anything goes theme if you prefere that. I have some trees on my card so I think I can say that I follow the theme for once. :)

I have used my Lawn Fawn stamp and die set called Winter Village. I have used some left over from a few cards that I made before Christmas. I never got the inspiration to finish all the pieces I had prepared and the design is pretty much the same as the cards I made by then. I am glad that I managed to use up a bunch of left overs again. The scalloped frame is a die that I have no name for. Don't really know where I have gotten it. But the size is perfect for cards like these and make it possible to make cards that doesn't cost a fortune to send either.

I have coloured the tiny little images with distress inks and have stamped in archival ink in some kind of brown shade that I love. I can't remember what it's called at the moment and I don't have any energy to go checking either. :) The hill shapes are also from Lawn Fawn by the way. The text sentiment is from Bildmålarna if I'm not misstaken.

Well then, now it's time for you to get your Christmas stash out and start making a card or two for the challenge. You know that you will really soon need those cards. December is here sooner than later even if it doesn't feel that way right now.

Take care everyone and make sure to spend some time doing what you love!

Bells or anything Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! Time for a new challenge over at the Merry Christmas Challenge blog. As always we have the theme of Anything Christmas and this weeks optional theme is Bells.

I have for my card used the same image I used about a month ago, but this time it's embossed in white instead of black. The cards are simular as I did use the same basic look for them and then altered the decorations to fit our themes. So this time have I decorated with some bells and some really thick twine.

I did also use a few golden card candy as an extra bling of gold. There is also some golden mist sprayed all over the card for adding a tiny bit of sparkle.

I am sorry that I am really short here today as I have pain like crazy in the left side of my back and shoulder. Glad I had this card done over a month ago.

Anyway, I hope that you will come and join us over at the TMCC and start getting your Christmas cards done in plenty of time.

Take care and do stuff that makes you happy.

Grinch Movie or anything goes X-mas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! How are you doing? Hope you're having a good week so far. At the moment I am recovering, yes again from yet another cold. I really wonder how many colds you have get in a row in a really short time? The answer is MANY! I bet it has to change sooner or later, right?

We have a new challenge up over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. Our theme is set to the Grinch Movie, but as I have not seen it. Not a fan at all of Jim Carrey so nothing for me. So I went with our second theme; Anything goes for Christmas.

I have been busy the last months doing some small stitch projects and the finished one here is two small pieces that is made into a snow globe. I have had the globe since my youngest was born and that was 2008. Let just say life has been busy since then. LoL But now it's finally done and I have my first Christmas gift for the year ready.

The first side shows a little branch with some bridies on it. My grand dad used to love these bullfinches. He always feed the little birds in his garden. Never letting his cats out on their own. He took them out on walks in leash instead, so that he could had the best of both birds and cats. The birds was so used to him and granny that some learned to knock on the kitchen window when the food was out at that spot. Pretty amazing that a wild "animal" can learn something like that. So this piece is for my grand parents.

And this is the other side of the snow globe. A classic Santa with his round, friendly face and a little birdie here as well. It ties it all together. It was lovely to finally finish this decoration and start off the collection of Christmas gifts.

I do hope that you will come and join us over at the Merry Christmas Challenges, and get your cards done in plenty of time for the Christmas Holiday. Or maybe you have another project that you want to finish for Christmas. It could be anything related to Christmas like LO's, presents, cards, tags etc.

Take care and do something that makes you happy.

Snowmen or Anything Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! How are you? Hope your doing fine and are having a good week so far. Here is it snowing like crazy and the winter is really, really back. Cold and snow and heavy winds. Yesterday they even stopped the busses from going on the big island outside my town. Can't remember when that happend last.

Well, today do I have to posts to show you and this is the first of them. We have a new challenge going up over at The Merry Christmas Challenge. Our theme is Snowmen or anything goes X-mas. So it's time to get those Christmas cards going again. You will be happy you started in time when December comes again.

I have used the same image as I have a few more times before during the last months. I really, really love these Sassy Cheryls images, and especially the snowmen. I don't know how many times I have coloured this one in, but it is still fun so you will probably see it here again. In yet another colour combo. LoL

I have used one of the multi coloured paper pads from Dove Craft I think. I don't really remember the name of it. It's a short memory these days. The sentiment is from LOTV and was/is a perfect match for this image, don't you think?

I have decorated the card with some die cut snowflakes from Lawn Fawn. I put a few pearls in the middle of them all. Some buttons from my stash has also been used to decorate my card. I have also used a piece of string to mimic the string for the star and make it "hang" from the top of the card.

I am sorry that my photo has a red shine to it. I have a crocheted window strip in coral colour in my window and forgot to take it away. And since I have a bit of limited time by the computer it has to be as it is for now.

Do come on and play with us all over at TMCC. It would be fun to have you join us. You don't even have to follow our theme if you don't want to. Just make a X-mas card!

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Anything Christmas or the theme of reindeers over at TMCC

Early Morning and hello! Hope you're doing fine and ready for a new Christmas Challenge over The Merry Christmas Challenge. I know it might feel a bit strange to make Christmas cards now when the spring is on the way. But you will be happy when the celebrations are here in December. LoL

This time we have our normal theme of Anything Christmas or if you want to challenge yourself a bit you use a reindeer or two on your creation. And for once have I manage to follow the extra theme of the week.

I have used an old stamp of mine that I can't remember the name or the brand off. Sorry about that. I have used my embossing powders again. I have not used them in a long time and while I had all the stuff out the other day I decided to make a few more embossed cards. I tried a few different colours and the same design. These will be good to send to friends all over the world. They won't be that expensive to send in the mail. LoL

I have used some black embossing powder for this version. I have also used some left overs from golden cardstock and some left over striped red and craft paper. The image is stamped and embossed on craft cardstock. There is some golden colour shine added, some black and white twine and a reindeer charm from my stash.

Anyway, I hope you will come and join us over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. Just make a Christmas card with any Christmas theme or with a reindeer or two on it.

Take care and do something that makes your day a happy one!

With love and hugs

Wreath or anything Christmas

Morning and hello! I am back again with yet another creation for the Merry Christmas Challenges. This is my final card out of three that is cross stitched with a sweet little Santa. Wonder if I will be able to part from this set?

I totally adore these little charming ones. They take me around 3 - 4 hours to stitch but with many breaks as the needle is really tiny but I love the final look. They are super cute! I wonder what I will spend some time on stitching now. I have a book shelf filled with different patterns for Cross stitching but I don't have that much time for it. However this little set was lovely to work on and I am glad I managed to finish it off.

Anyway, now I can't wait to see what you create for the coming Christmas. It's only 11 months away as we have already come to an end of January. Time do fly don't you think?

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Stockings or Anything Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! Welcome back to my little corner of the blogging world. It's Wednesday again and time for a new challenge over at TMCC. This time is our optional theme of Stockings or as we always have "Anthing goes Christmas". That means everything Christmas related works for our challenges. Nice and easy now when most challenges doesn't have a Christmas theme. I for sure was happy last year when I had enough with cards for each and everyone that I needed to send a card too. No stress at all and tons of fun!

This is my second card of three showing one of my Cross stitched Christmas cards that is ready for this year's celebration. This little sweetheart has a book in his hands and he looks pretty happy where he is. I don't decorate the front of the card with anthing more than the motive if anyone wants to frame the picture as it will fit a 10 x 15 cm frame from ex. IKEA. Then the card will come to use for more than one year which I always hope for.

Well time for me to keep going. I hope you will come and join our fun and easy challenges over at The Merry Christmas Challenges.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Happy New Year or Anything Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! I am back again with a new post in the New Year. I hope you are all doing fine? Back to work again after all the celebrations. My kids has yet another week of from school and that means a mess here at home but we are doing our best to get things going. They are old enough to be home alone for a few hours but not the whole day. Luckly I am working short days, but they still have time to fight over the PC when we're not home. LoL

Today is the start of a new challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge. We have the optional theme of Happy New Year or Anything goes for Christmas/ Christmas themed.

I have spent some of the celebration time doing something that I used to do all the time before. I have been Cross stitching as I don't need to see the colours perfect doing that, just following the chart with the numbers. It was a good change for me and I am really happy about it. So all of January will I showcase a Cross stitched card for our challenge over at TMCC. They are from the same set but with a slightly different theme to them.

It takes me quite some time to stitch these little Santas as my fingers are not too happy about the small needles but at the moment has it been a bit too much fun not to do this. I spent every woken hours doing this 10 years ago. I have tons of kits laying around the house just waiting for me to get started or to finish what I have already going on. LoL Let just say that I have enough kits to last me a lifetime. And as much when it comes to crochet yarn. It might show up one or two doilies I have crocheted as well on this blog.

Anyway, I hope that you will keep going with your Christmas projects and spend a little time taking part in our challenges. We always have the theme of Anything goes and an optional one as well if you like more of a challenge.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Anything goes Christmas or with an option of charm

Morning and hello and welcome to my last post for the Merry Christmas challenge for 2017. I will be back with more Christmas during the New year of 2018. Sounds so far away, and yet it is only a few weeks away. Time just pass by faster and faster. Kind of scary don't you think? It's getting more important to be here and now not to miss out on life.

And then we have my card, a CAS one this week. I have used an image I think is from Make it Crafty. Not totally sure as I have had this one coloured for over a year just laying there waiting to get used. However I have coloured this little fellow in a bit of strange colours even if I love how he looks. I am please with my colouring for once. However it was hard to match him up with some dp's and I had planned for a CAS card but didn't know how, until the other day.

I have been looking on tons of scrapbooking you tube videos lately and took inspiration from them when it came to framing the main part of the card with a back ground paper even if it's white just like the image paper. I took some paper strips from my stash and made a strip for the bottom of the card and a wavy one on top. Nice and simple and then did I stamp the "merry Christmas" (in Swedish)in the empty space in a part of t wave. Nice and easy and even the dp's match my little Santa gnome.

We always have the theme of  Anything goes for Christmas at our challenge blog TMCC. Now have we also added a theme if you like more of a challenge. This week we're going for the theme/option of use a charm. I didn't follow that one this week, normally I use plenty of charms on my creations. How strange it can be.

Well I wish you all a fabby Christmas and a happy New Year! I see you 2018!

Anything goes or Fun Folds - Christmas

Morning and hello! I am back again with a new fun challenge for the Merry Christmas Challenge blog. This time you have two options for the challenge either you go with the the not so challenging Anything goes or you go with our optional theme of "fun folds". Myself chose the easy way and goes for Anything Goes this time.

Well, there isn't as many Christmas gifts this year as we use to have. We go on the more expensive versions this year and plan a trip or two and give them to the boys. But some will there be and there is others that should have their gifts so I keep going with my gift tags. I have posted a few before and I make them all out of scraps from other projects and so is the fact with these as well.

I think these are left overs from my digital version from Simple Stories, but I don't remember what the name is. But I use this pack quite a lot and had it as main part of last years December Daily, which I yet have to finish off as Christmas Eve isn't in it yet. LoL

For these tags have I used the scraps and I have used a Spellbinder die that cut through chip board. It's a great die and I have three sizes of these tags. This is the smallest one, perfect for the little big gifts. I have used an bunch of ribbons that is leftover from other projects and just left in my stash. There is some twin in both red and light blue. Two charms have I used for the tags as well as I feel I am drowning in them at the moment. I stopped counting when I had passed 200 on the snow flake charms. I have also made a simple decoration with some left over die cut snow flakes from Lawn Fawn. And one of the tags has also gotten some bells added to it all in silver as I prefere that before golden stuff.

I wish you all the best and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs

Anything Goes or monochrome - Christmas

Morning and hello! Hope you are doing fine and have a good week so far. Today I am back with a new creation for The Merry Christmas Challenge. We do always have the theme of Anything goes - Christmas. That means you can enter with any kind of craft project you want. You can knit, crochet, paint, make a card, a scrapbook page etc. Anything is welcome as long as it is all about Christmas.

I have really fallen in love with Sassy Cheryls lovely snowmen and I am reusing my images over and over again. Today I have used a fairly big image for card and used the theme of red, but my card is not monochrome. I have used a well used paper pad which I can't find any front off yet again. I should organize my dp's better but it's not as fun as crafting.

I have coloured my image with my Letraset markers / Winsor and Newton markers. This time going with red, black and yellow as main colours. Once again have I used a sketch from Papertake weekly's old librarby of sketches. Really useful. LoL My mind is not that well in shape at the moment so it feels good to be lazy from time to time. I have even made myself a little book filled with sketches to be able to be lazy.

For this card have I managed to decorate my card with a few card candies in white and a stars made up from tiny pearls. The letter tiles are from Panduro and in white. They have plenty of colours for these tile letters. I have also used some glitter stickles in yellow and in black to add a bit of extra sparkle. The yellow is nice but the black is a bit harsh in my mind, but it looks ok here.

Ok my crafty friends. This is all from me for today and I do of course hope that you come and play with us over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. It's nice and friendly.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs

Anything goes - Christmas

Morning and hello to you all again! It's really early Wednesday morning here in Sweden. And today is it time for a new challenge over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. As you probably know by now we are a Christmas challenge and our theme is always Anything goes - Christmas.

We do have a top three each week and it's alway fun to be on a top list isn't it? The only thing you have to think about is that you creation is for Christmas. Other than that you can do what you want. You can cross stitch, make a scrapbook page, crochet something, a classic card etc.

Today have I used once again one of the fabby images from Sassy Cheryl's fantastic snow men. The image is coloured with my mix of promarkers / triamarkers. When the image was ready I fussy cut it a bit of randomness. I really needed the red border around the image to make it pop a bit. And the rest of the card is mostly done with left over pieces of designer papers and card stock. There is some red, silver, and white cardstock. I think that the dp's are from Dove Craft I think.

The snowflakes are made with a snowflake die from Lawn Fawn I think. I always cut extra when I am at it and then just put it all in a bin and get everything messed up. So some guessing here about the brand. LoL I have used some letter sticker for the sentiment that is saying Merry Christmas in Swedish. Some pearl stars are also used to decorate the card for this challenge.

Don't forget to add your card to our challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Anything goes - Christmas

Morning and hello! Welcome back to my corner of the blogging world. I hope you have had a great week with tons of fun and some crafting to that. LoL

It is time for a new challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge and I am still in Christmas mood and keep on going with my Christmas creations. This time is it a bit simpler that it has been for a while even it took some time to get them done. I have spent some time doing some Christmas tags for my  Christmas gifts. The time comes closer and closer to wrapping those gifts up. It isn't very far way now.

The best part of this is that I have used only left overs. The tags are made out of chip board kind of, it's the back side of a aquarel paper pad. It's really thick. I have painted them all first with gesso and then some layers of pearly white paint. After that I made use of a stencil that I have hanging on my wall, hardly never use it but all the stars on it was perfect for my Christmas themed tags. The tags are made with some heavy dies from Tim Holtz.

When all these layers of paint and mixed media products had dried after three or four layers was it time for me to add some left over images from a pad with Winter birds from LOTV. I only used two of them for these five tags as I have fairly small tags with only some decorations and a space on the back for writing to whom the gift is. It's stamped with a stamp from Marianne Design I think.

Back to the images. I cut them down to fit my tags and to make the most of them. The back side to this is that I have even tons more of these images to make cards or tags with. It's a never ending pad. LoL I glued them down to the end of the tags and then made a border with some stickles. I can't remember which kind it was. When that was dried, which took quite some time I covered all of the images with glossy accents. Some of the tags has air bubbles in the gloss and it looks really smashing.

Tons of work for these tags, still a simple project. The strings I have tied into them are bakers twin that was sent with last year's advent calender from Magnolia and some hemp string from a gift I got for my birthday during the summer. Nice and easy and tons of  recycing. Kind of proud of me!

So come on now people, it's getting closer and closer to Christmas so come on and join us over at The Merry Christmas Challenge. Our theme is always "Anything goes" so just show us any kind of Christmas projects. You might Crochet, Cross stitch or do some other handicraft which has to do with Christmas. We welcome all kind of crafts!

Take care and do something that you enjoy! (Like Christmas cards... LoL)

Anything goes - Christmas

Morning and hello! And an early moring it is. This is posted before I woke up today. Time differences you know. A total mess to keep track of. I am just hoping I am halfway right. Anyway, it's Wednesday at least and it's time for a new challenge over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. So come on and join us for some festive fun!

I am working my way down the pile of Christmas cards that needs to be done. Yet again am I using the Christmas village from Lawn Fawn. I coloured a bunch of these houses at the same time with the same colours so the look kind of simular but it's easiest that way. So if you think you have seen this card before, you have not, but you have seen a simular one and I am guessing that a few more will show up using this set. The snowy hills are also dies from Lawn Fawn.

I have coloured with distress markers this time and some glitter pens for the stars, moon and in the windows of the houses. All roofs has gotten the same treatment as well. Just for some Christmas sparkle.

Sweet and short today. I wish you a great week and hope you will come and join us over at the Merry Christmas Challenge this week as well. We are getting closer and closer to the big celebrations aren't we?

Take care and do something that you enjoy!

Love n hugs

Anything Christmas

Morning and hello! Hope your week is good and that you have time to do something that you enjoy. Here it's still some soccer practise left and even a few games so I still spend some time with that. In between all the games I play with my craft stuff to relax.

Today is the start of a new challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge. Your easy way to get all of your Christmas cards done in time. Easy peasy as we always have the theme of Anything Christmas. So do come and join us. You will be spoild with different kind of inspiration for this challenge.

And then over to my card. I have a favourit brand when it comes to Christmas images and that is Lawn Fawn. Fun to colour and easy to make the same but still different. So this is the set called Christmas village used here. I have coloured with distress markers and some glitter pens in gold and clear. It doesn't show very well here but IRL it does for sure. The dp behind the scen is really old and I can't remember from where it is but it's nice to finish something that has been around for quite some time.

Well folks, that's all for today. I wish you a great week and hope that you will come and play with us over at the merry Christmas challenge. Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs
Marie
