Birthday card over at the Paper Shelter

Morning and hello! Second post for today but sadly it's only to tell about the new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. I have gotten the kids flu and is totally knocked out. All before I had the chance to make the card for this weeks challenge. It is second week we have that going on in the house now. So tired of it. The kids had the tummy flu as well last week. So I just hope that we are over and done with it all after this. So please, please everyone that feels a tiny bit sick around me; stay away! I have had it for this year! LoL

Anyway, the theme over at The Paper Shelter this week is nice and easy and should get you going. We have the theme of Birthdays and want to see a lovely birthday card for someone. Nice and easy we hope.

As always you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth $30 playing with the TPS brand. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice

Take care everyone and I see you soon again.

Wreath or anything Christmas

Morning and hello! I am back again with yet another creation for the Merry Christmas Challenges. This is my final card out of three that is cross stitched with a sweet little Santa. Wonder if I will be able to part from this set?

I totally adore these little charming ones. They take me around 3 - 4 hours to stitch but with many breaks as the needle is really tiny but I love the final look. They are super cute! I wonder what I will spend some time on stitching now. I have a book shelf filled with different patterns for Cross stitching but I don't have that much time for it. However this little set was lovely to work on and I am glad I managed to finish it off.

Anyway, now I can't wait to see what you create for the coming Christmas. It's only 11 months away as we have already come to an end of January. Time do fly don't you think?

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Inspirational photo over at PFP

Morning and hello! How are you? Hope you're having a good time and feel ok? We are having a bunch of illnesses around here. This week we're working our way through some kind of winter flu. Tummy flu last week. Lots fun around here. :(

Well, it could be worse and it could be better. But now on to todays card. We have a new challenge up for you all over at Passion for Promarkers. Our theme is Inspirational photo, and it looks like this.

Denise Morgans foto.

We want you to take inspiration from the photo when it comes to colours, images or whatever you can find inspiration from. There is some lovely stuff to be inspired by here. Like the yummy cup cakes or the lovely flowers in the back ground or the smashing berries on top of the cup cakes etc.

I have chosen to be inspired by some of the colours, the pastel parts and the cup cakes. I have used an old image from Lili of the Valley and coloured it with some aquamarkers from Letraset. It was a long time since I used them so it was about time.

Marie Ingholts foto.

The designer papers are from Glitz, I think it's called Carpe Diem. I love the fabby colours in this pad. The striped one however did I make myself with a dark grey Tria marker from Letraset. I was a bit low on grey/black designer papers so I thought I give it a try to make my own. It's not perfect but it works out well for this project.

I have quite a lot of details on this card, at least to be me. I have used tons of dies from Magnolia like the cup cake and strawberries. There is a silver charm and some golden ink from Heidi Swapp. Have watched way too many scrapbooking movies lately and many of them uses different kind of inks and shines and whatever it all is called. There is also a piece of lace and punched butterflies.

Sponsoring us this week is Lacy Sunshine and the prize is three digis. How great wouldn't it be to win that one?

Take care everyone and do something that makes you happy!

Shape it up! over at the Paper Shelter

Morning and hello! I am back for the second time today and the clock hasn't more than passed 10 in the morning. A tiny bit of busy here today in other words. This will be the first challenge for the B-team over at the Paper Shelter and it starts today!

We are starting off with the theme of Shape it up! That means we want to see anything but square/rectangular cards this week. Square with a twist will be fine like the lovely shaped cards my teamies has made to inspire you all.

As always do we have our classic $30 voucher up for grabs if you are the lucky winner of the challenge. To have a shot at that you need to use a TPS image on your creation. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choise from the store.

For my card have I used the first new image of the year called Pixi Caramel Macchiato. I have used the pre coloured version as there really was no time to colour this time around. Besides that does Veronicas fantastic digital colouring deserve more attention. Maybe I should use the pre-coloured ones more often?

I decided to go round with my card this week. I am glad you didn't hear me when I tried to cut the spellbinder with the frame on it. It wasn't nice and it wasn't pretty. But I beat that die even if it took time. Truth to be told I need a bigger die cut mashine but they are both expensive and take up tons of room and I don't have that. I even find it hard to store my Big Shot. LoL

I used some lovely blue/turquise cardstock together with a mega old paper pad called Rose Garden. I think it's from Papermania. You don't see much of it but I also managed to use a few border stripes  and die cuts from the same paper pad. Taking some inspiration from all the scrapbooking you tube videos I have been watching lately. Always with the thought in mind that I will do more LO's for the albums instead of just buying more stuff to my over crowded scraproom. If it's working? Naae, but at least I dared to try out some embellishments that I wouldn't have gone for otherwise. Maybe I should realize that I am a card maker and not a scrapbooker of photos. LoL

Anyway, there is some details added to the card with two different kind of glitter stickles, some twine, some lace, some pearls and some distress ink as well.

So this is all from me for today. I will now rest for a while and hope to get my back ready to work again. It has been many hours by the computer lately and it will not ease down just yet. But for now I am done.

Take care and do something that makes you happy! And don't forget to play with us over at the Paper Shelter this week.

Stockings or Anything Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! Welcome back to my little corner of the blogging world. It's Wednesday again and time for a new challenge over at TMCC. This time is our optional theme of Stockings or as we always have "Anthing goes Christmas". That means everything Christmas related works for our challenges. Nice and easy now when most challenges doesn't have a Christmas theme. I for sure was happy last year when I had enough with cards for each and everyone that I needed to send a card too. No stress at all and tons of fun!

This is my second card of three showing one of my Cross stitched Christmas cards that is ready for this year's celebration. This little sweetheart has a book in his hands and he looks pretty happy where he is. I don't decorate the front of the card with anthing more than the motive if anyone wants to frame the picture as it will fit a 10 x 15 cm frame from ex. IKEA. Then the card will come to use for more than one year which I always hope for.

Well time for me to keep going. I hope you will come and join our fun and easy challenges over at The Merry Christmas Challenges.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Something new over at PFP

Morning and hello! Time for challenges here again. I know that my blog is a bit quiet every second week but bare with me for a while and I get back on track again. Tons to do at work at the moment and since I spend most of my days writing I get really tired and isn't in the most stunning mood for writing again when I get back home. LoL It will soon settle.

Denise Morgans foto.

We have a new challenge up over at Passion For Promarkers this morning. That means we want you to colour your image or what ever that is coloured on your creation with promarkers from Letraset / Winsor and Newton. Then you have the chance of winning this weeks prize which is from the lovely people over at Little Miss Muffet stamps. The prize is worth $6.

For my card where you have to use something new have I used an image from 2013, not that new but it's a lovely image from the Paper Shelter. However the paper pad I have used is new to me and it from Simply Creative and the pad is called Folk Song. The papers are a bit thin but the prints are lovely. I have also used a new die from Joy craft I think but I have managed to cover the flowers up totally. But they are there, promise.

I have also added a musical note charm and some music note dies from my stash. Old fashion flowers which I never have used the grey ones before. The white ones are go to flowers. Some lace and some small, really small letter stickers which took me forever to get on to the card.

Ok then, tired as I am I finish this post here and hope to see you come and play with us over at PFP this week.

Love n hugs

Happy New Year or Anything Christmas over at TMCC

Morning and hello! I am back again with a new post in the New Year. I hope you are all doing fine? Back to work again after all the celebrations. My kids has yet another week of from school and that means a mess here at home but we are doing our best to get things going. They are old enough to be home alone for a few hours but not the whole day. Luckly I am working short days, but they still have time to fight over the PC when we're not home. LoL

Today is the start of a new challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge. We have the optional theme of Happy New Year or Anything goes for Christmas/ Christmas themed.

I have spent some of the celebration time doing something that I used to do all the time before. I have been Cross stitching as I don't need to see the colours perfect doing that, just following the chart with the numbers. It was a good change for me and I am really happy about it. So all of January will I showcase a Cross stitched card for our challenge over at TMCC. They are from the same set but with a slightly different theme to them.

It takes me quite some time to stitch these little Santas as my fingers are not too happy about the small needles but at the moment has it been a bit too much fun not to do this. I spent every woken hours doing this 10 years ago. I have tons of kits laying around the house just waiting for me to get started or to finish what I have already going on. LoL Let just say that I have enough kits to last me a lifetime. And as much when it comes to crochet yarn. It might show up one or two doilies I have crocheted as well on this blog.

Anyway, I hope that you will keep going with your Christmas projects and spend a little time taking part in our challenges. We always have the theme of Anything goes and an optional one as well if you like more of a challenge.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs

Make it digital over at Passion for Promarkers

Morning and hello! Happy New Year to you all. Hope you all had a great start for the New Year. I am struggling a bit with feeling sick as crazy and some sight loss from time to time. But at least I know why. I also know that I need to get the eating matching up with my meds a lot better and that might help me feel better. We'll see how that will work out. Then we have to try getting a bit more exercise together with the meds so that it will help get my body going and not react to the meds as much with the hard stuff. Oh well, enough about this boring subject but it has been a hard period with one of my cats sick on top of it all. But he keeps going without his teeth and he is back to his social behaviour again. Yeah! But we also know that it can turn in a second. But here and now is our leading words for now.

Sponsoring this challenge for our PFP challenge is Cowling & Wilcox - 6 pack of PM's (rich tones). That is one lovely prize for a happy player in our challenge!

This post should really be about our first challenge of the year for Passion for Promarkers. It happens to be my challenge and I decided to start the year easy if you are like me, a bit rosty at the moment. I have gone for the theme of " Make it digital" and I am mainly looking for you to use a digital image that you colour with your letraset markers / Winsor & Newton markers. It should be nice and easy for each and everyone. Just make sure that you use these brands to do your colouring, it hasn't to be all but most.
I made this card quite some time ago for a working mate at work as she had a friend turning 30. I kind of missed out a bit of the colours as my eyes has been really acting up. Making it a bit harder to see the colours and it's all a bit blurry from time to time. At least not all the time. One thing I know for sure is that I need to practise my grown up cards for this year. Need more images for that as well, so I guess I need to learn more about flower colouring and daring to use colours that I normally leave out from my card making. I am sorry but I don't have a clue who make this image. It has been laying around on my desk printed for ages. It might be Make it Crafty or Power Poppy, may be...

I did of course colour with my Letraset / W & N markers and then added some shading with my pencils. It might look a bit heavy on this photo but it wasn't as harsh IRL. I asked my boys, both older and younger. And C was happy about the card. I used quite a lot of die cuts and flowers for this card. After all you only turn 30 once per life time, well that is if you are not me who turns 30 each year. LoL. Lace, charms and some paint and glitter adds the details for the card.

Well you all, I wish you a great crafty 2018 and I will see you around. Tomorrow already to be exact. Then it's time for a new challenge over at TMCC. I will have three challenges the same week for a while now, so it might be a bit quite every second week but I hope I will have something for each week at least. But you never know...

Take care and do something that makes you happy

Love n hugs
Marie
