Merry Christmas!

Hello again! I hadn't plan for two postings today but then Woopsi! February ends today and it's the last day to enter Hjertebodens Christmas blog challenge. And I have managed to make three X-mas cards this months and it's time to use them. LoL

So this time it's one of the lovely LOTV images that have focus. Had it coloured for ages and never got around to use it. I have used some Basic Grey designer papers from Nordic Winter pad. A super bunch of flowers and  tons of glitter as well. Even if my photo doesn't show it that much. Promise it's there! Sentiment from Magnolia and lots of pearls here and there.

Never thought I would get this done. One of the boys has chickenpox and now we are just waiting for the other one to get it, but we don't want him to have it now. Can someone stop it please? My partner in life has his big Four O birthday next week and we have planed a little trip during this time. Fingers crossed!

Once in every fourth year!

Happy birthday to you all that only age once every fourth year. I hope you have the best day ever! I was sitting here and wondered who if any I know that has his or hers birthday today. Then I suddenly remembered that I do have a dear friend that has her birthday today, but we never send eachother cards for our birthdays. We have been pen paling for years now. Can it be 15 or so? Something like that, so this card is sent of to Germany where my friend lives.

Why I talk about this leap day? Well that's our theme over at the For Fun Challenges. Maybe it should have been last week so that you had time to make a card and send it, but as we are nice people over here you can make just any birthday card even if we prefere to see Leap day birthdays ok?

We are sponsored by the lovely people over at KNK designs. Lots of sweet and lovely images. I have have used the Detective Kolar and his sentiments, I have paper pieced his coat and gave it a nice green collar and hat. The designer papers are from Basic Grey. Ribbon from Joanna Sheen and some card candy to add some details as well.

And this is what happens almost every time I try to take a picure of my cards. One of my cats called Tage thinks it's the perfect time for some cuddeling. I am not agreeing totally with this, but it's way better than him walking around in my not dried cards. He always manage to give me some fur on the cards that I don't see until I have prepared my picture for the blog, and today I was not in the mood to fix it. Can you see it? LoL

Hope you come and join us in the fun! Links to the For Fun Challenges is found in my sidebar just as always.

More Magnolia birthdays

Here comes another one of my coloured Tildas that I made when I was in the hospital in January. I guess that so far is that the only good that have came out of it. No, that is not fair but I do have a lot of pain, very often. Not when I walk but afterwards. Bl---y h--l! No fun to be me then. I'm of to see the doctor tomorrow and hope he can help me out. He really needs to check on my foot as well as I believe I have much of my leg trouble coming from it.

Back to the fun part, card making. I was practising colouring at the hospital when I couldn't sleep. And this is one of the gals that made it from the cut how to speak. I tried to colour blond hair as it isn't my colour but now I think I start to get the hang of it.

I know that most little gals wants their cards pink, but my own favourite colour is blue so every now and then I need to colour in blue. At least I took some designer papers that have both pink and blue on them. They are from the Wild Rose Studio. I also have a heart shaped doily under all the flowers together with some spiraly things from the Magnolia shop that I visited last weekend. Went to see my brother then and while we wasn't far away from Borås then, we passed by there. I think I have to go back there soon again. Both to my brother with girl friend and to Borås. Thank you for the most wonderful weekend in a really long time both of you! It was great!

As always when we have been away the kids get sick. First we had them home with colds, we thought. Now it has moved on to chickenpox for the youngest one and the oldest is probably following in his foot step. So much fun! Not!

Sentiment time

Oh dear God, I am back again and I am not really sure that I want to show this card at all. You know days when you really don't get anything together and just ad and ad and ad... and it never ends? Nothing improves and you can't go back because everything is glued down? This is one of those. There was no time to make a new card so here I am, stuck with this mess. Maybe you can use it as an example of how you don't make a card?

I have use a favourite image that I have had colored for ages and I really mean that, ages! It happend on a challenge that me and a teamie both had colored this image and we had without talking to eachother or any other contact, colored her in the exact same colors. Strange how it can be, so I saved mine till now. :)

The cool gal is colored with my Letraset Family as always (almost) and paired up with some designer papers from Prima. flowers, pearl string and all other messy decorations from my stash and Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is a cut out from Prima as well. I love the sentiment even if it cause a lot of trouble on my card. LoL

So you all wonder what is the challenge on the Paper Shelter blog this week? What can it be? What can it be? Better tell you, right? Our theme is Add a sentiment. That you manage quick and easy. So please come and join us and let us see what you come up with. Anything will be better than my mess. Can't wait to see what you want to show us.

As always we have a gift voucher up for grabs if you take part and play with a Paper Shelter image. It's worth $20. You get three digis of your choice if you play with a different brand of images. Quite cool that too I think!

For Fun time!

Good morning! And happy Wendsday to you all. It's time for a new challenge over at For Fun and this week we are doing a reciepe challenge. Use one sentiment, two different ribbons and three buttons or brads.

I have used a bunch of stuff from a Panduro Tilda paper pad. I believe it's called winter bird. I just added the metal corner from Wild Orchid Crafts to my card. I also decorated it inside, but of corse forgott to take a photo of it. It was given to a dear old friend of mine on his birthday. The sentiment reads "When I count my blessings, I count you twice". I know it's hard to see but I have used two different ribbons on my card, a sher ribbon under the dotted one. I just wanted to have a thin edge around the white one.

This week we are playing just for fun over at the challenge blog. I do hope you come and join us anyway. It's always fun to see what you all comes up with.

Snowy days

Hello and good morning! Snowing again and how great that we have the theme of Show me snow or snowmen over at For Fun this week. How more perfect could it be?

I have used one of my favourite Magnolia stamps from a collection a few years ago. He is just so adorable! He is coloured with the Letraset family. I added two different glitter stickles Frosted lace and turquoise. Yummy! On the flowers and around the tag is it also added Frosted lace glitter. A doo hickey lace is also used and some ribbon from Joanna Sheen with a wire in it so it twist really well and stay that way. Flower are from Wild Orchid Craft. Pearls from BunnyZoe.

This will be all from me for today. Now time for some work out with the b....y knee of mine. It just don't want to work with me and I so frustrated over it. Arrrggghhh!

But please keep us busy over at For Fun this week. We want to have tons of entries so that I get occupied and don't have to think about the leg. LoL

Love n hugs

Marie

Another Magnolia birthday card

Hello there!
Monday evening and the kids are playing a bit before it's time to go to bed. Have had one of the boys home from day care today as he wasn't too well last night. Seams to be better now but we hang out tomorrow as well. We spent the day making a LO with so much glitter that I wonder if it will ever dry. Of some reason he thinks that all LO's should be covered in glitter. Oh, well it's his LO and it will be fun to hear what he thinks of it in 10 years or so.

My card, I must stop treating this blog as a letter. I write way to much, every time! LoL A sweet looking Tilda that I don't remember what she is called. I coloured her up when I was at the hospital. Well, I coloured a whole bunch of these Tildas so there will be more cards with her in the future. The designer papers are from Prima. Everything else from my stash.

My second Wendsday challenge

Hello and good morning! Again I might add. It's Wendsday again and you all know what that means here in this blog. Yes that's right double posting and this is the second one today. We have a lot of love going on in different challenges these days and the Paper Shelter is no different. We have the theme of Be my Valentine.

As soon as I saw this cutie with the gold fishes I know I had to make a card with it. Now it didn't turned out as planed so this have to do. The designer papers are from Eco Park flowers from Wild Orchid and the rest from my ever growing stash. My little darlings are coloured with Copics as they was nicer to me and didn't mess up the print. I have now managed to sort that and I am back with the dear old Letraset family. I also felt the need to make a shaker card out it and last night my boys was shaking like crazy with the card. :)

Oh, I bought some storage for the third brand of markers; Spectrum Noir. They are perfect for the copic pens. Tons of the markers goes in there and easy to bring along. Just a little tip on the way.

So as usual we have the big old $20 voucher up for grabs when it comes to a winner who have used a Paper Shelter image. Three lovely images of your choice if you have used another digi or stamp brand. Lovely as always.

So with this I invite you to come and join us for our challenge this week over at the Paper Shelter.

Love n hugs

Marie

Love is in the air

Morning fellow crafters! Hope you are all doing fine and enjoy a lovely day. It's so much love in the air at this time of the year and I have to make love cards all the time. I don't even celebrate Valentine's day. Maybe it's time to start now when I have a bunch of cards ready? It's not the biggest deal here in Sweden even if it grows each year. I prefere this "adventure" much more than halloween that isn't up my alley at all. Our theme set for this weeks challenge is Love. Plain and simple, that's for sure.

Oh well, my card... This week we are sponsored by the lovely MelJen and I thought this row with birds was really cute for a Valentine's card or just a card showing that you care a little extra. It is coloured with my Letraset Family even if it wasn't that much to colour. LoL I bought the heart ages ago and will probably have the rest laying around for another ages. I took a pink marker and coloured the hearts pink as well as it was too much white for my taste.

A very simple card this time as I wasn't really in that loving mood. I think that my right leg has a mission and that is to drive me nuts. It won't stop hurting, the foot is actually worse than the knee I had surgery in. How strange is that? Or how good hasn't that healed? LoL The pain is terrible either way, and I am tired of it. Also sorry about the bad picture, it has been snowing a lot lately and it doesn't seem to want to stop.

Ok, now that's of my chest so do please come and join us over at For Fun this week as we have the theme of love, so come and show us some of that.

Love n hugs

Marie

Good evening!

It's time again for a little posting from dear old MI. :) It doesn't happen very much here at the moment. Having huge trouble getting my meds working for me and my knee and foot are as stiff as the frozen trees outside. This morning it was only -22 Celcius degrees. How nice is that? Oh well, as I'm having a horrable time when it comes to sleeping as well. I was up looking after the fire. It ended up being so hot that I had to sleep in the basement.

But that's not why you are here is it? (Does it show that I write quite a lot of letters? I don't know when it's time to stop. Good thing I am not on twitter. LOL) My card then, I don't think that it's a secrete that I love to make Christmas card and as we have had a four day long snow storm here, the Christmas feelings came back again. I have had this sweet image from LOTV laying around for ages and now it was time to make it work.

She is probably coloured with my copics for a change and paired up with some DP from Dove craft I think. Memorie like a gold fish here. Flowers from WOC, ribbon from Joanna Sheen, sentiment from Maja Design and charm from Bunny Zoes and so is the pearls. Some stickles from Rangers is also used for this card. I have used the lovely sketch from Paper Take Weekly this time as I thought it was perfect for the image. And I am kind of looking for my mojo still. Have anyone seen it?

A little birthday card

Hello there! I am back with a little Magnolia birthday card. It seams to be a clutter of birthday parties at the kids day care at the moment so. Many cards for little kids are required from my boys. This one ordered by W. needed to be pink as all about his friend seamed to be pink when I asked him. :)

So I have followed the sketch over at Just Magnolia Hänglar Stänglar. I still have not found the right card making inspiration after my surgery and every thing goes so slow. Ok, back to the card... used a little cute Tilda with present, an old text from Magnolia as well. Designer papers are from Prima, perfect for kids. The big flower is a mix and match from my stash. Leaves are made with a Doo Hickey die and so is the tag, swirl is a Marianne die.

Sorry about the crappy photo. The snow is coming down like crazy here today. It's just because I'm still using crutches I promise. LoL

Love n hugs
Marie

A new challenge over at For Fun

Good morning and hello! Hope you're having a wonderful day so far. Myself is stuck with the flu and are really tired of it. Oh well, I still can't move around that much due to my knee so maybe it's a good thing having it all done at once. I decide for that. :)

So my friends, we have a new challenge up for you over at For Fun and this time we would love to see Male birthday cards. Little or big guys doesn't matter, as long as it is for a male. You find all info you need to be in the challenge on the challenge blog. Link in my side bar.

My card is really simple and the image used here is from our sponsor and it's called a boy and his pet frog. He comes from The Digi Garden. Filled with sweet images. He is colored with my Letraset Family and designer papers are from JilliBean Soup. A ribbon and a few card craft candies are my only decorations this time. My first card make in about a months and gosh it was a struggle. Hope I can get it flowing a little better now being back home and doing a tiny bit better in my knee. Hey! I can bend it, well at least a little and it's so much easier to sit them. LoL

Love n hugs
Marie
