Another one from the infirmary

Morning folks! Hope you're doing way much better than me and my family. All four of us are now having fever and finding life great. But hey! There will be better days for us as well I hope. This is the 5th day with fever for me but at least it's going down. I'm more worried about the youngsters, I am so hoping that they won't get it as bad as me and Mats. Tons of popsicle is the recipe to cool them down here. Get some energy from it and fluids as well. :)

Oh well, I did make a card for our new fun challenge over at the Bearly Mine Challenges which this week is "Ribbon/ lace/twine". You need to use at least one of these items on your card to be able to take part in this weeks challenge. Not a very hard one right? :)

I like the most members of the team has used a Fred She Said image on their creations this week and my teamies has done some wonderful job. I kind of doesn't want to show mine as I am not too pleased with it. I love the image from FSS, and I really wanted to make it more justice but nothing has been working around here. Still being behind after last sick period with the kids, I didn't have much time for my card. Neither did I know that I would be knocked out by fever. I didn't even managed to get a reasonably picture take of the whole thing.

On the positive side, I got a card together and that's wonderful and then you can also see and realize what a smashing work my teamies has done! That is what I call the bright side of life! LoL Talking of bright so is my card IRL, my brain and the weather has not been very cooperative so this mess is what I ended up with.

Ok, let's see. The lovely blooming image is from Fred She Said and the wall in the lower part is from Magnolia. In their (FSS) version they have a lovely cracked wall, but I wanted to be a little different. I have done some extra cutting again and raised the flowers over the wall and then one more of the flowers. I had more of them prepared but lost them somewhere between here and the basement. The lady bugs are all covered with glossy accent for the perfect "buggy" look. They are really shiny when you look at the real deal during the summer. One of my kids pointed that out to me last summer, so he was very happy to see the sleek bugs. :)

For decorations I have used a bunch (can you call three a bunch?) of buttons, lace on the side of the wonderful green Dotty designer paper (Dots). I have also made my own "lace" using MS punch that goes the other way. The card was drowning when I put the real lace on there too. LoL After adding a big of the same green coloured paper to the white MS lace I got some ribbon around there which is looking a bit odd her on the picture. Also tied a ribbon bow and got a big funky daisy to hang from it. The blue designer paper is from  the digi set that is called Spring Blossoms.

I leave you with this and hope that I soon will be able to tell you that life is all sunshine again!

Love n hugs
Marie

Marie, I don't think this is a mess. I think it's lovely and your image is beautifully coloured too.
