Scaplagrets CC

LoL

Busy Busy Day

Hi again, second time today. Realized that I have a card for a challenge that will close in a day and I better get it before I forget all about it. I am so caught up in the CC I take part in at the moment so I don't know what the time is or anything. And tonight I will get robed of one of my beloved hours. Hate it when we have to change the clock one hour forward. Love it the other way. The best thing in the world is to wake up Sunday morning, look at the time and realize that hey I can stay in bed for one more hour and time will be the same. :) Best gift ever. Guess I have to stand it being taken away first. LoL

Ok, back to my card which is made for the Bildmålarna challenge and this month the challenge is "yellow". Once again it's a baby card I have made. I have made this one for my parents to send as one of my brothers got his first kid a week ago. I didn't plan to show the card here before my parents had sent it but as mum is always late with things like this, I can't wait anymore. I just hope they are so busy with their baby boy that they don't check any mails or postings on FB. LoL

The image is coloured with distress inks and cut out with spellbinder dies. I think I borrowed the sketch from  Papertake weekly (have to check that). The designer paper is from the new Bildmålarna realize on the front and Maja Design Vintage Spring. The pad is to die for, if you don't have it, go and get it right away. :) Also the new Bildmålarna papers are to die for. Really lovely, wish I have had one more of this yellow one so I could have made the inside the same, well maybe next time. The poem on the inside is also from Bildmålarna, and so is the charm if I remember correct. Some pearls, hearts and ribbon is used as decorations.

See you soon again and then I'll be writing in Swedish again. LoL

My first

Hi and hello! I am back again. This time I will switch and write in Swedish as I am taking part in a CC over at Scraplagret. Feels a bit nuts writing in English while I'm playing along at a Swedish event. So over to Swedish if I remember how to write in that language. LoL

Happy Easter

Hi there! Have you missed me? I have missed me. ;) I have already managed to end up in a relapse with my rheumatic pain. It normally doesn't start this early in spring, but this year it decided it was time already. I'm in so much pain at the moment that I took a big nice pill and hope that I won't feel this crap for a while. A gal can always wish, right? We're having a birthday party here in a short while so I better speed this up. LoL

I have made this little card with an image from the Paper Shelter. She is coloured with Prisma colours as they where close by when I started to colour that's why she looks very sun tanned, I wouldn't mind that myself at the moment. It might have eased the stiffness in my joints. :) DP is from First Edition Spring drop I believe it's called that pad.

Made some flowers with a Marianne Die and put it together with a swirl from Magnolia. Also a butterfly from Magnolias die collection is used. Some rosebuds from Wild Orchid Craft. And the white small flowers from I am Roses. Pearls from Joanna Sheen for a change. Found a whole box of self-adhesive pearls and gemstones while I was looking through some old crafting stash that I needed for a card coming up in a few weeks. You never know what you'll find in those boxes. LoL Like a treasure hunt almost, and sometimes I wonder what was I thinking?

Ok, time to set the table and start preparing the last parts of the meal. See you around and have a wonderful blessed Easter!

Spring time

Hello and welcome back to my little corner of the world. Hope you're fine and ready for what ever life has in store for you. Despite this cheerful greeting this morning, I feel sad. It has been a hard time as one of the kids over at my youngest day care passed away about a week and half ago. It was very sudden and unexpected. So at the moment are we both here at home and over at the day care spending a lot of time with working with the grieving process. Here it shows in tantrums, anger and sadness. If I only know what to say...

This is how it looks when I look out this morning. The question is: Is this spring? LoL Snowing again, well at least it's not that bad as they said on the weather report that it would be. Best yet to come maybe?

It felt good to get that out, and now I will try to write something about this little card of mine. I have not been very inspired to make cards as you understand, but have done my best in this hard period. We have a new challenge up today over at the Paper Shelter and the theme is "Spring". And since I have always felt that spring starts with Easter here in Sweden, I made another Easter card with this fun and cheerful image called Easter Masterpiece. Nice and easy to colour and this time I have really kept my colouring really simple. To get a little more life in the empty corner of the image I used chicken wire stamp from Magnolia and a sentiment stamp from LOTV. Should have used brown ink, I know but it can't always be perfect, can it?

Once again I have used the Paper Pad from First Edition called Spring Drop. Love the colours in this pad, but I hate, or maybe dislike the glittery ones so by now I have torn all of the most glittery stuff out from the pads I have and gave them to the school. Kids in the age of 7 or so loves their glitter and they will be put to good use.

I have been a bit lazy and used the left overs from my last TPS card when I also made an Easter card. It was all I had energy for. A string is also added to the card and a little charm. Some die cuts from the Spring Drop pad is used to decorate the card with as well. Pearls from Bunny Zoe's is also used.

As always we have the gift voucher worth $30 up for grabs if you play with any TPS product. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three (3) digis of your choice.

So this week's theme over at the Paper Shelter is "Let it be Spring". So all and everything that you connects with spring time will fly this week. Pastel colours, Easter, sunshine, etc. Just bring it on and make the world a little lighter.

Bear time

Hi there! I am back again trying to write something up here for my new card. I am really tired today. I hate spring even if this spring seems more like winter. We had -16 degrees Celicius last Saturday. That's nice. I do get so tired when the spring comes, maybe because I am always going into a period of pain during this time. Me or rather my body can't stand the changes between temperatures and the moist that comes with it.  Oh well, fall will be here soon again. LoL

It's time for a new challenge over at the Bearly Mine Challenges and this time we are doing the easy one, "Anything goes". Bet we'll have one or two entries this week. :)

This time I have used a sponsor image from Teddy Bo and Bea. Isn't she cute? She is coloured with my Letraset family and some Prisma pencils for some extra shadowing. Designer papers are a sky free bee from Donna, Gingham and Summer Light. Flowers are handmade most of them with dies from Marianne Design, and Memory Box. Two roses from WOC and I am Roses. Lace is from the super market and pearls from Rox Stamps, Sweden and Bunny Zoe. The heart in the upper corner is from Magnolia, a puch is used for the lace panel and it's from X cut.

Sponoring our challenge this week is Crafty Sentiments with a lovely stamp and Teddy Bo gives away three digi Teddy Bo trio images. See further details on our challenge blog.

So I bet I see you around this week. Talk to you soon again.

Love n hugs

Best friends

Hello my friends. Lovely to see you all again. How are you doing? I hope you're doing fine. It's a new week and we are getting closer to spring. It has been a really cold week considering we are in March now and it was actually snowing the other day. When Easter has passed it will probably good weather again as for some reason it's always really cold during Easter when everyone wants to go out and fix their gardens. Strange isn't it?

As it is Monday, it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Card Makers blog. Why don't you join us over there? We have a new theme set and it's Friends and friendship. Your card has to state either one of those. That means you need a sentiment on your card this time. And before you say, You have not gotten that on your card. But I do I will answer then. My sentiment is in Swedish and says "Good friends make good times better and hard times easier. Thank you for being there". So I have Swedish friends on my card, oki? :)

(Click the photo to get a better view of it, looks a bit blurry here)

I have used the lovely image by K.S called pint sized love. Isn't it adorable? I just love it and the kitten is too cute for words. I have coloured the image with my Letraset family and some pencils from Prisma for added details. The designer papers are from Paper Mania and is called Rose garden I think. It's a fairly old pad by now and I discovered that I have three of them. Time to use some of the papers up. Flowers are from WOC and the lilies from Magnolia Sweden. Lace is also from WOC. The big butterfly is from The ribbon girls if I remember correctly. Some stickles is also added to the flowers. Pearls from Magnolia.

Monday again

Hello you! It's Monday again and the week didn't start as planed. Have my youngest at home today as he had tummy ache and was feeling really sad. I should have been at a seminar and listen to a woman that talked about fibromyalgia and how to get back to working life again. I missed it last time because I had to go to the dentist and now this, but today it was more important to spend the day with P. He is really feeling better now and went out in the sun for a while. That is good to see.

And now over to something completely different. A new card from me. I must warn you as it's not a very good looking card and the photo is even worse, but I needed to get the card done and it was a bit late in the afternoon while I managed to finish and take the photo. My photo skills has not really improved have they? I still plan to learn more about it, but other things feels more important at the moment. :)

Anyway, it's a new Magnolia card from me and this time it's featuring Tennis Edwin. One of my brothers had his birthday last week and as he is a keen tennis player, I just needed to buy this stamp. :) I went monochrome with this card as it's fun to colour in grey scale colours every now and then. I do love my warm grey Letraset markers. No designer papers for this card, only the use of card stock in three colours; White, black and grey. Using some embossing folders to get some "life" into the card. Decorations is card candi in two different sizes.

Better go and check out what you Mr P is doing. He was talking about using some tools...

Happy Easter

Can you believe it? I am back again. LoL This time with spring feelings. For the first time in years I think, I have made an Easter card. I don't celebrate that very much, it's normally just a few free days off together with the family. However, this is one of the newest images from the Paper Shelter and it's both sweet and fun at the same time, so how could I resist it?

I really had a messy day yesterday. Called the doc for my ear that still isn't well. Got there and he found nothing, but was kind enough to worry about me when I told him that I feel sea sick and have a truck in my right ear. LoL Well it sounds like it at least. He called the Ear Nose Throat Clinic to check with them what to do. I who never managed to be any lucky at all got an appointment an hour later. Of course I had forgot my phone at home and having a kid that needed to be picked up... What to do? Take the bus to my dad's work, to use his phone and got the hold of Mats, my partner so he could pick up P. while I spent the rest of the day at the ENT clinic. Sounds like fun? Well, at least there was no nerve damage to my face as the first doc had feared (not telling me about it). And my ear will heal, it will just take a little longer than it normally does as I am having some "healing trouble". It takes quite a long time for a tiny little wound to heal for me as I have over mobilty syndrome. Have no clue what it can be called in English. It makes it harder for the broken parts to heal among other things. And the best part is that they will check my hearing in a month or so. It has been a bit strange the last couple of months. I am grateful, but very tired. :)

I managed to find some spring papers in my stash that is way to big and I probably should not buy any more designer papers for the coming next two or three years, just to get down to a "normal" standard of designer papers. What is it about papers that you just want more and more? This collection is from First Edition if I remember right and is called Spring drop. I am not a big fan of the messed up papers, that means the ones that is covered in glitter and and other strange stuff. But as long there is kids around they always come to use anyway. After all, every now and then I give away stuff that I don't use anymore to the school and day care where my kids spend their days and they put it all to good use. And I get a little room for some new stuff, but still, I really shouldn't get any more new designer papers...

Back to my card, I never stay on track do I? LoL The image is from Paper Shelter, I wrote that, yes? It's called Easter Mischief and of course you find it in the Paper Shelter store. It's coloured with my normal Letraset family and the sentiment is made in the computer. It says "Happy Easter" in Swedish.

Some die cuts is used from the paper pad (the eggs), a grass die from CC Designs and a border punch from Fiskars is also used. The flowers is also made with a punch, maybe from Woodware.  And why am I telling you all this you ask? Well, our theme this week over at the Paper Shelter is punches and dies, so why don't you come and join us? Some buttons from Joanna Sheen and pearls from Bunny Zoe is used for the flower centers. For the first time since forever have I also made some paper distressing with a T. H. tool.

As always for our wonderful challenges over at the Paper Shelter we have a gift certificate up for grabs worth $30 if you play with a TPS product. Using another brand gives you the chance of winning 3 digis of your choice. So an easy challenge punches and dies, and some new wonderful teamies is joining us from this week. So pop by and come play with us, the challenge is easy!

Love n crafty hugs

Mother's day

It's Tuesday again and I have a new card to show you. I am so tired today, I don't seem get any energy back  after all colds, flues and infections I get all the time. Oh well, it must turn sometime, but it seems like I have to have wait a little longer for it.

My card is made with a wonderful digital image from Sugar Nellie, isn't she adorable? All images in this range is such a joy to colour so if you have not done that yet, I really recommend you to try one out. This one is coloured with my Letraset family and some Prisma pencils for a little shading around the image.  I have used the wonderful digisets called Gingham and Floral Dreams. Flowers are from Ribbon girls, and Wild Orchid Crafts. A butterfly punch is also used for some extra details. A few pearls and glitter glue from Rangers is also used as a finishing touch. Sentiment says "On Mother's Day" in Swedish.

It's soon time to start celebrating your mum's over in the UK, here in Sweden we don't do that until May, but it never hurts being in time for once, right? So for our new challenge over at the Bearly Mine challenges this week we have Mother's day as our theme. Hope you come and join us in our challenge this time around.

Our sponsors this time is Kenny K offering 5 images of winners choice. There are some new lovely steam punk images out in their range now. You should really check them out.

Also sponsoring us is Marianne Design with two lovely dies for their fabby range. I wouldn't mind winning both of these prizes. :)

So do come and join us in our celebrations of our mum's this week over at Bearly Mine Challenges. We love it when you play with us.

Monday and I am back

Hi everyone! Missed me? I have missed me. LoL Did a little posting the yesterday but that's about all for the last two weeks. I have been really ill in the flu and (still) have a bad ear infection that refuses to give in even after having eaten antibiotics. Let me tell you that is has been and still is painful. Don't wish this on my worst enemy.

Today it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Card Makers. And this time we want you to make a male birthday card with some kind of gadget on it. Example of that is a car, rocket, computer and other technology stuff. A birthday sentiment is also nice.

We have some lovely sponsors giving you a chance of winning a couple of lovely prizes as well. This time we of  have DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS and THE STAMPMAN with us. Di's Digi Downloads is giving away a gift voucher worth $10 and the Stamp Man is giving away a £10 gift voucher to spend in their store. Wonderful prizes right?

My card this week is fairly simple as there has been very little energy to do anything crafty at all. I used two images from Magnolia for this challenge. An Edwin that I really like and a cool card that I also love. My uncle used to have one, but it was not cabriolet. LoL For decorations I have only used some glossy accent on the lights and the rearview mirror. Also a few screw brads from Papermania's Chronology is used. Love those.   The sentiment says "Happy Birthday" in Swedish. As most of the time I have used my Letraset family to colour with and some Prisma pencils for the ground. The designer papers are from the Wander pad, Basic Grey. I used some left over paper strips to make a simple decoration for the inside as well as another sentiment wishing happy birthday again.

Hope to see you play with us this time as well, as you for sure kept me busy looking at all the blooming images you entered to my challenge over at CCM last time. It was such joy to see so many of you join us and make such wonderful bunch of cards. Awsome! Please take on this great challenge as well. You know you need male birthday cards as well, not only the girly ones. LoL

Such a long time

Hello dear friends. I am finally back again. Seems like I'm always trying to catch up with everything. It has been two very long weeks in my life. First got the big bad flu, and to top it off I got a really bad ear infection that made on of my ears bleed for more than a week. And it kept doing it even if I took my antibiotics like a good gal. :) Tomorrow I have to call the doctor again as it's still painful. Even if the ear hurts like crazy even after almost two weeks, I feel better. How great isn't that?

I have the big challenge week ahead of me now but I thought I would pop in a card that I made last night, and I mean night, as I couldn't sleep before 05,30 this morning. I found some left over paper (from Panduro) laying around and I was not really sure what to do with them, but realized that I need to try to make different shaped cards as I have made very few of those. The thing is I don't have any big dies for this, so this card is a mini version, but hey, it works.

I played around with some round dies from Sizzx this time and used up those scrap pieces. I added some lace to a black piece of dp and got that across the card, that way I got a little more space to add some embellishments. The image is from Sugar Nellie and I love how she turned out. She is coloured with my Letraset family and some tiny strokes of Prisma pencils to add a little shadowing.

I had such blast making up the flowers for this card. There is plenty of them and I played with some pearl strings as well, and these gave some hight to it all. Some lace, a tiny feather and other flower embellishments is added to the mix. The butterfly charm is from my dear friend Annelie. Thanks! It's perfect here. :) Anyway, thanks for looking, see you back tomorrow.

Love n hugs
Marie
