Lace

Such wonderful theme we have for you over at Passion for Promarkers this week. The theme set by my lovely teamie is "LACE". Isn't that just wonderful for a theme? I love lace and have to keep myself from using it on every card I make because they would pretty much look the same then I think. But today it's ok to use it, and then I make a really simple card.

I have used James the bear from Lili of the Valley. This old is an favourite of mine and I coloured quite a few last year of them. Hope I don't send him to someone who has already gotten him on a card. LoL I have paired him up with the wonderful Paper pack from Dovecraft called Krafty Christmas once again. I love this pack, such lovely mix of craft, red, white and blue. I took inspiration from sketch 80 I think from PTW and started from there. I have really gone overbord with all the flowers on this one. Two different kind of glitter glue from TH is used. Red and Picked fence. Some pearls from Bunny Zoe and the lace comes all the way from my friend and teamie Gail over at the Paper Shelter.

Sponsoring this challenge is Letraset with a pack of flexmarkers. How great isn't that? Sometimes I wish I could join the challenges. LoL Lucky you who can enter so come on crafters. It's a nice and easy theme this week.

Love n hugs
Marie

Summer...

Hi and good morning to you all. I am back with my latest creation for Passion for Promarkers. The theme of the week is "Summer lovin". That means something you love that has to do with summer. Swimming, beach, playing a game in the garden, going on a date etc.

For this challenge I have made a really messy card, but at least I had fun making it. My (step) dad turned 70 the other week and me and my brothers gave him a trip with a submarine! He loves the sea and well, we thought this was a "little" bit diffrent. I would never ever even go down in one of those tiny spaced thingies, but he seems to look forward to it. And that what set the theme for my card. I was actually trying to make a 3D submarine but it kind of looked... to be kind weird. So this is what I ended up with instead. You know when things works better than they are supposed to? Not often but it happens and when I made this card it was such day. I just wanted a tiny bit of silver flakes to the wild waves but instead everything got stuck and I think that's why I looks a bit messy.

I used a lot of the new dies from the first Limited Editon kit of dies from Magnolia and paired them up with some Magnolia designer papers. Well, one Magnolia paper. The back drop for all the images is a photo that has been taken of an huge aquarium. Thought it was fun. I have also used two layers of plastic sheets and put tons of hair gel in between for a water look with air bubbles. I saw this somewhere and had it poping up when I gave up on my submarine. The diver image is from the Paper Shelter and is only a part of an image that also comes with a mermaid. She is however replaced with a yellow submarine that is from a free colouring book on line. Can't give away a card without a submarine when we're giving away a ride with one right? Besides my dad likes The Beatles. LoL

For the inside of the card I used a copy of some sea charts and an image of a compass. I put the whole diver, not only the legs into the right side of the card and then I wrote up the card up. But that part you don't get to see, for our eyes only. :) Of course all the images and some of the die cuts are coloured with Letraset products which you also have to do to be able to take part in our challenge. I have also used some glossy accent on the gelly fish bodies and on the glass parts of the diving suit.

Sponsoring this challenge is Whiff of Joy with a stamp for one lucky winner. Don't forget to use Letraset products to colour with so you have a chance of winning this lovely prize!

Hope to see many of your fabby summer loves in our challenge the coming week.

Thanks for looking and take care

Love n hugs
Marie

Happy Easter

Can you believe it? I am back again. LoL This time with spring feelings. For the first time in years I think, I have made an Easter card. I don't celebrate that very much, it's normally just a few free days off together with the family. However, this is one of the newest images from the Paper Shelter and it's both sweet and fun at the same time, so how could I resist it?

I really had a messy day yesterday. Called the doc for my ear that still isn't well. Got there and he found nothing, but was kind enough to worry about me when I told him that I feel sea sick and have a truck in my right ear. LoL Well it sounds like it at least. He called the Ear Nose Throat Clinic to check with them what to do. I who never managed to be any lucky at all got an appointment an hour later. Of course I had forgot my phone at home and having a kid that needed to be picked up... What to do? Take the bus to my dad's work, to use his phone and got the hold of Mats, my partner so he could pick up P. while I spent the rest of the day at the ENT clinic. Sounds like fun? Well, at least there was no nerve damage to my face as the first doc had feared (not telling me about it). And my ear will heal, it will just take a little longer than it normally does as I am having some "healing trouble". It takes quite a long time for a tiny little wound to heal for me as I have over mobilty syndrome. Have no clue what it can be called in English. It makes it harder for the broken parts to heal among other things. And the best part is that they will check my hearing in a month or so. It has been a bit strange the last couple of months. I am grateful, but very tired. :)

I managed to find some spring papers in my stash that is way to big and I probably should not buy any more designer papers for the coming next two or three years, just to get down to a "normal" standard of designer papers. What is it about papers that you just want more and more? This collection is from First Edition if I remember right and is called Spring drop. I am not a big fan of the messed up papers, that means the ones that is covered in glitter and and other strange stuff. But as long there is kids around they always come to use anyway. After all, every now and then I give away stuff that I don't use anymore to the school and day care where my kids spend their days and they put it all to good use. And I get a little room for some new stuff, but still, I really shouldn't get any more new designer papers...

Back to my card, I never stay on track do I? LoL The image is from Paper Shelter, I wrote that, yes? It's called Easter Mischief and of course you find it in the Paper Shelter store. It's coloured with my normal Letraset family and the sentiment is made in the computer. It says "Happy Easter" in Swedish.

Some die cuts is used from the paper pad (the eggs), a grass die from CC Designs and a border punch from Fiskars is also used. The flowers is also made with a punch, maybe from Woodware.  And why am I telling you all this you ask? Well, our theme this week over at the Paper Shelter is punches and dies, so why don't you come and join us? Some buttons from Joanna Sheen and pearls from Bunny Zoe is used for the flower centers. For the first time since forever have I also made some paper distressing with a T. H. tool.

As always for our wonderful challenges over at the Paper Shelter we have a gift certificate up for grabs worth $30 if you play with a TPS product. Using another brand gives you the chance of winning 3 digis of your choice. So an easy challenge punches and dies, and some new wonderful teamies is joining us from this week. So pop by and come play with us, the challenge is easy!

Love n crafty hugs

Marie

An easy one

Hi there! Hope you're doing well and are enjoying your week so far. This one is a busy one here in Kalmar. Lots of health care for me, trying to catch up with everyone I missed my appointments with when I had my colds on both December and now in January. I am so sick (!) of being sick all the time. The only good thing about it is that it has to come to an end if not sooner, later, right?

It's Wednesday again and time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. This week is one of those when we at the team will have tons to do as it is "anything goes". Yepp, you heard it, "anything goes" over at the Paper Shelter this week.

I have this time take some inspiration from my teamie Tracey V that used this wonderful image on her card last time the B-team hosted the challenges. It's called 100% cute and it's found here. She is coloured with my normal Letraset family and paired up with some designer papers from Bildmålarna. They are wonderful to work with and has an amazing quality to them. The colours are wonderful too. Love them! A new found love for me.

To decorate my card have I used a lace and a wonderful butterfly charm that I got from my friend Annelie that makes the most amazing creations. Thanks so much! I love the "kit" you sent me for Christmas. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia Sweden (the lace flower). A pearl swirl from Prima, some lilac pearls from BunnyZoe, and a liquid pearl maker from Rangers are also used to decorate this card.

As always we have a $30 gift certificate up for grabs if you use a TPS image to play with and are picked by Mr Random. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice. That's also nice, but of course we love it when you play with our brand. We love giving away the big prize!

Hope you come and play with us!

Crafty hugs,
Marie

Chocking I know!

Hello my friends! I am back for the second day in a row. Can't remember when that happened last time. LoL Finally seeing the light of the tunnel, the meeting I was so stressed out about is over and went fine. I think I love the Employment office at the moment. LoL Such lovely lady that will be my contact person there, now I can relax and make the best of something that most people wouldn't enjoy doing. I see this as the start of my new job and I will totally do my best to make it work. Tomorrow it's time for the final (?) meeting with my psychologist and then I can do weekend. If the kids wasn't sick... How typical isn't that? When you have the preoccupied week in ages, the kids get sick. Just have to like it, right? Couldn't have done this week without my mum. Thanks for your help!

So I actually have a card as well. Yepp! It's true, I have managed to fininsh a card that isn't a design team card. That is also the first time in ages. Have been looking forward to using some of my stamps, but in the end I used a digital one anyway. This one is from Sugar Nellie and is called Warm Winter Wishes, also found in rubber. I have had this little cutie coloured for a while now but hasn't managed to get it on to a card before. I have coloured it with my Prisma pencils, still learning but if feels like I'm getting there. I took inspiration from the Emperor Penguins that has little tassels in their ears and some yellow oranges around here and there.

My designer papers are from Bearly Mine Design and from the digi kit called Christmas Fun. The sketch I have followed is from the Sugar Bowl. Have just sneaked in a little doily in between as I wanted to break the  colours up a little bit. Sentiment stamp from LOTV, dotty stamp from Stempel glade. Ribbon and buttons from The Glitterpot, metal corner from WOC and wooden snowflake from BunnyZoes. I think that cover it all. Hope you like it!

Love n hugs
Marie

Yet another thank you

Hello there! Finally some sunny sun weather here in Åsa. It's not warm but at least some sun. It rains alot on this side of the country. I and the family is here for a few more days, house watching for my brother and his girlfriend and in the other end we have house watchers for our home. :) I start to feel a bit home sick now and actually can't wait to get back home. I miss my stuff and my cats and my WORK OUTS. As I can't run and jump I'm very limited here. So some good work out is what's coming up this coming week. But first some more relaxing days here in Åsa.

While I have not done any new card to show for today, I still have from my pile of teachers thank yous to show here. Same old same old; a Faye Wittaker stamp found at Joanna Sheens. Coloured with distress ink. Paired up yet once again with designer papers from Maja Design's Skärgårdsliv from last year. Some cardcraft candy and a metal charm finished this one of. I'm not a big fan of my camera's way of handling the colour red, it always turn out crappy. Just hope that I can manage to get that working soon. I am practicing but it sure doesn't show here. LoL

Challenges for this card
4 crafty Chicks - Distressing (made with distress ink around all the edges)

A little while ago my neighbour asked me to make them a card for wedding they would attened. I got it done and photographed but it's still unpublished here. Thought I do it now, what a bright gal I am! :)

I have used an image from Whiff of Joy and used it together with papers from Magnolia's wedding collection. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and some are punched with an Eksuccess Punch. The image is coloured with Aquamarkers from Letraset.
