Stitching time

Morning everyone! Third post in a week and it feels great. Do you know what? I am still in love with fall. :) It has been a few dry, clear days now and I feel so good from it. I refuse to let bad things get in my way at the moment. Why should I? The heavy pain is gone and it's just "small talk" going on in my joints at the moment. I will treasure these days for as long as they last.

It's Mid week again, and time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. It's both sad and happy at the same time. It's the last challenge for my old team and that is sad. Many of my new teamies has joined in for this challenge and that's something happy. :)

We have the theme of stitching this week. It can be real or faux that's up to you. I have for once used my sewing mashine and got it to work for once. However, I think I need to get a heavyer thread for next time I'll stitch in paper but it was fun!

My image is vintage seamstress and it's one out of a few images with vintage feel to it. They are stunning. Takes a bit longer to colour with all their details but they look fab! Mine is for a change coloured with distress inks. The print is a bit shabby as my printer don't like that aquarell paper I have used. I had to change colouring mediums again as nothing was working with my Letraset family. They are not making the heavy 270 gr of marker paper anymore and I want to learn how to use the neenah before I get rid of all of the good stuff. Still upset that they won't make it anymore. Grrr!

Sorry, I know the photo is crappy. The light tent and I didn't get along,
well me and the lamps didn't get along. One hot one cold...

Anyway, back to my card. It's stitched around all the edges even if most of it is covered up. Designer papers is from Maja Design, Vintage spring in lilacs and blue. I followed the sketch from CLP challenges, just rotated it a bit. Music note die cuts is made with a die from Dienamics. Charms are from Bildmålarna, ribbon from Joanna Sheen, butterflies made with a MS punch. Pearl string from Rox stamps, mini rose ribbon from WOC and so is the flowers. Swirl is made with DooHickey die from Magnolia and I think that cover it all.

Challenge prize badge
As always we have our gift voucher up for grabs if you play with our brand. It's worth $30! Great isn't it? Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning 3 digis of your choice. Not bad that either. So, now I can't wait to see what you will come up with for this challenge. It's always so inspiring!

Love n hugs

Hi, Marie! So glad to hear you're pain has eased and hopefully there'll be a few more warmer days left before Winter sets in! I agree that Autumn is a beautiful season, with it's stunning array of colours, however, I loathe the earlier nights and know that it won't be long until the clocks change here in the UK and we're plunged into the darkness of Winter :( !!
Love your pretty card and that sweet PS Seamstress image - she is just so adorable! Fab colouring with your inks and stunning embellishments! Hope you get back n favour with your Promarkers soon! Hugs, Lisa x
