Anything goes with an option

Good afternoon everyone! Hope the start of your year was great and that it all will go in that direction this brand new year. I am still feeling the hit of the earinfection that the cold grew into be and are still after two weeks really unstable and go on very low energy. Hope I will be let out of that really soon.

I've been told that my year will be a bit of turbulent, and I can't stay that I look forward to that. How I know that? Well, I am one of those who belives in the spirits and life after this, and a friend of mine told me this. On the other hand, I also believe that you can always affect your own life and the choices you make. There for I have decided that my year won't be such a mess. :) I am choosing not to take the negative turn on this, it can get turbulent, but that can also be a good thing. I am just hoping that it won't be stressful as I am really crappy in that field. I can't handle it. LoL Enought about this crazyness. And on to my first creation of the year that is getting shown here.

This card is made for the new challenge over at the Papertake Weekly challenges. What  a treat January will be for all of you when it comes for challenges from them. I have only three more challenges left as a guest designer for then after this and it already feels empty. I try not to think about it and enjoy what it left.

This weeks theme is Anything goes with the option  extra is to make something to celebrate something new ie new house, new year, new baby etc. Or do a technique you've never done before. I felt a little lazy at first and did just want to go with the Anything goes option and then realized that woohoo, I have a great image already coloured up for a great card for a new born. There seem to be plenty of babies arriving around my youngest brothers stable of friends, so hopefully I can give the card to J, and he find a friend that it's suiting for. Clever right? I have even made it natural in the colours I went for. Can't be any better. LoL

The image is from Bildmålarn and is coloured with my distress ink. Don't ask about the colours because I have no clue at all which ones is used. But hey! It was fun to use a brush for once. The designer papers are from First Edition, and comes from two different pads that has really gotten mixed up. I am no fan of all the glitter and other strange things that is going on on some of the papers, but you can't get everything can you? At least they where cheep. LoL

I took some left over card stock and made the sentiment saying congratulations in  Swedish. The die is from Rox stamps. Great value of that die. Great quality too. I paired som roses from WOC up with a few red flat flowers from a Primapack, added a charm into that and a few piece of swirls made with a new one of Joanna Sheens lovely dies. They are to die for by the way. Great quality and great prizes too. A wooden button picked up on the teddy bear in the picture and balanced everything a bit. Well, and then the pearl heart and I was done. I have not been able to fit any time in for decorationg the inside yet, but I will. Sooner or later.

Ok, I hope to see you soon over at the Papertake Weekly challenges. I for sure could use some new inspiration after beeing of from crafting for almost three weeks. But hey! I have gotten four (!) new desks for my crafting room. I just need to start reorganizing everything.

Love n hugs

Hey, Marie! Hope you're feeling better soon and that your 'get up and go' returns! I am very much a believer in positive thinking - I'm no life coach or anything, but I do believe that negativity causes a lot of unnecessary stress, though I don't always heed my own advice either! I hope that you can have good health this year, as this can effect us in so many other ways, but you always seem to grind on regardless!
Anyway, love your pretty baby card and you've been very clever with the colour combination to make it suitable for either a boy or girl! Sweet image, pretty papers and gorgeous embellishments too! Hugs, Lisa x
