It's an Anything goes challenge

Morning! I am back again, impressive right? I for sure think so. Sometimes it's just wonderful that you find some time in the middle of the night to colour away. And then be able to use what you have coloured for a project or two. I've had a few images ready lately and how thankful I am for that today as my shoulder is hurting really bad, still I was able to finish this card and I am so happy about that. Soon the weather will be a bit cooler I hope and then hopefully everything will settle a bit. I even called my doctor the other day to get some help with a medicine that is blocking some of the pain. Still waiting to see if he will prescribe it to me again...

Well, that was the boring stuff. Here comes the good part, my card. I love how it turned out, for real. It became super cute and pretty much the way I had imaged it. It's simple I know but all the layers makes it look more than it is. LoL This little darling is called the Aviator and is fond in the Paper Shelter store. I have actually bin unfaithful to my Letraset markers and coloured this one with Copics and some Prisma pencils. It's easier to bring the Copics with me to bed as I don't have that many of them. LoL I have also used some Nennah kraft card to colour on, and if you have not tried this you really, really should. It's so much fun and the colours pops out really well. Besides I love how the white pen looks against the Kraft. :)

Sorry the photo is a mess once again. I need to gets some lamps, some day...

I have paired the little Aviator up with designer papers from Prima. It's from two different pads. And of course I don't remember which ones. Very proud that I manage to use up some older stuff as well. The pearls are from Bunny Zoe and the charm I believe is from Bildmålarnas great store where you can find tons of different charms which I really love. :)

And if I didn't tell before the card is made for our new challenge over at The Paper Shelter. Our theme is "Anything goes" and will last until 5th of August. 6th of August we'll be back with a new challenge. As this is an anything goes challenge there will be no commenting and a maximum of 3 entries per crafter. Me, Shirley and Vero has given our teams some well deserved time of during a few summer weeks. We all need the break and gather some new energy for the coming challenges during the fall.

As always we have our gift voucher up worth $30 up for grabs if you play with a TPS image. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice. Do come on and join us for our summer challenge. It's nice you know and I can't wait to see what you have going on your craft table at the moment.

Summer...

Hi and good morning to you all. I am back with my latest creation for Passion for Promarkers. The theme of the week is "Summer lovin". That means something you love that has to do with summer. Swimming, beach, playing a game in the garden, going on a date etc.

For this challenge I have made a really messy card, but at least I had fun making it. My (step) dad turned 70 the other week and me and my brothers gave him a trip with a submarine! He loves the sea and well, we thought this was a "little" bit diffrent. I would never ever even go down in one of those tiny spaced thingies, but he seems to look forward to it. And that what set the theme for my card. I was actually trying to make a 3D submarine but it kind of looked... to be kind weird. So this is what I ended up with instead. You know when things works better than they are supposed to? Not often but it happens and when I made this card it was such day. I just wanted a tiny bit of silver flakes to the wild waves but instead everything got stuck and I think that's why I looks a bit messy.

I used a lot of the new dies from the first Limited Editon kit of dies from Magnolia and paired them up with some Magnolia designer papers. Well, one Magnolia paper. The back drop for all the images is a photo that has been taken of an huge aquarium. Thought it was fun. I have also used two layers of plastic sheets and put tons of hair gel in between for a water look with air bubbles. I saw this somewhere and had it poping up when I gave up on my submarine. The diver image is from the Paper Shelter and is only a part of an image that also comes with a mermaid. She is however replaced with a yellow submarine that is from a free colouring book on line. Can't give away a card without a submarine when we're giving away a ride with one right? Besides my dad likes The Beatles. LoL

For the inside of the card I used a copy of some sea charts and an image of a compass. I put the whole diver, not only the legs into the right side of the card and then I wrote up the card up. But that part you don't get to see, for our eyes only. :) Of course all the images and some of the die cuts are coloured with Letraset products which you also have to do to be able to take part in our challenge. I have also used some glossy accent on the gelly fish bodies and on the glass parts of the diving suit.

Sponsoring this challenge is Whiff of Joy with a stamp for one lucky winner. Don't forget to use Letraset products to colour with so you have a chance of winning this lovely prize!

Hope to see many of your fabby summer loves in our challenge the coming week.

Thanks for looking and take care

More sea side...

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you're doing fine and are enjoying the lovely weather today. I can hardly move today as something snapped in my shoulder during the night. Don't share your bed with your 6 year old, no space left for you. I have probably got an infection going again and I am moving like an old fashion robot. LoL Well, that's life.

I have another sea side card to show you today. I have had two up here earlier and now it's time for a third one. I made a whole bunch of those for my kids' teachers, but I will only show one more after this. :)

The image is from Bildmålarna and is coloured with Letraset Markers and Prisma pens. The dps are also from Bilmålarna and I have used pretty much the same things on this card as I did on the one shown last week. On this card some recykling of an old onion net has been done and I have used some flowers on both sides of the image. They are from Magnolia (bought from Ljuva Änglar), WOC and I am Roses. The little bottle to the right is from Rox Stamps and has some lovely sand in it. Some hempstring from TGR and distress ink around some of the edges is also used to make this card.

Thanks for looking!

Splitting headache

Good evening everyone! My head is hurting, my knee is killing me, every joint in my hands are messing with me still I am posting today LoL It was a long time since I made a card just for fun of it and finally I got some time for it, or not but did it anyway. I really should have done a few exercises of accounting this evening, but I decided to go with card making instead. I have one of those rare nights hen all my boys are gone. The kids are with granddad and grandma and my partner is meeting his childhood friends tonight playing volleyball in one of his friends' pool. And since I have to be in school tomorrow, I had a great chance of getting the kids out of the house. LoL They can't be home alone tomorrow can they? I will watch an episod of Midsummer Murders when I am done here and then take an early night... Doesn't it sound good?

So here comes my card as well. I have had this image coloured up for years and obvious hasn't got around to use it before. Well, tonight I felt a surtain urgde to use it and paired it up with some Maja Design papers from the collection "Sofiero". Nice and soft colours.

Sorry about the photo. It started to rain and the sun was setting. I fix this tomorrow...
At least I got it up here. :) The yellow looking ribbon is actually natural white...

Didn't turn out one bit better, only darker. Too much light...

I used a few ribbons as decoration together with a single rose and some bling stones from stash. Also used the broad ribbon to tie a bow and get a little dimension to the card. I got a great set of dies from Annelie a while ago with three different small labels. They are perfect for a few of my sentiment stamps saying "congrats" in Swedish. Now this card design turned out perfect for the die so on it went. Maybe the card turned out a bit unbalanced but it was fun to make and that's the main thing today.

We have a new challenge up by the way over at Passion for Promarkers. The theme is Christmas in July. I so should have joined the gals for that one as I have yet to start my Christmas cards. Maybe I only make them for all the kids around us this year? Well, we'll see how it all turns out in the end.

Well, thanks for looking. See you soon again hopefully. Time to take care of my sore body and give it some rest.

Love n hugs
Marie

Birthday card with sentiment

Happy birthday dear Marie, happy birthday to youuuu! Well, yepp another year has flew by and today I am a year older, again. How come this keep happening every single year? LoL Just because I'm being... well me, I decided that the new challenge for the coming week over at the Paper Shelter should be "Birthday card with sentiment". Can't have it too easy can we? So a sentiment should be seen as well.

I don't know how many birthdays we have in my family in July, at least 10 I think and it's birthday parties every where all the time, and at the moment we are in one of those periods when everyone turns 0 or 5. I'm not being one of them. Even one of my old cats had her birthday in July, sharing it with my step dad and one of my brother's MIL, I will never forget her date of birth.

I have had a few better days now, but when the weather report starts talking about heavy rains and thunderstorms, I go down again even if I don't want too. It's such a stupied thing to have phobia against or how you put it. Well my new "doc" is nice and evil at the same time and it feels great actually to be able to repeat allt the things I have done at least four times before. LoL Well, I mean it, it does help, at least a little bit.

Ok, enough of boring stuff and on to my card that got saved in the last minute. We have just put up the pool for the year and well, let's just say that water can be splashed very far so my first image got wet and destroyed. Lucky for me I coloured the image twice, one time on white neenah card and the other on the craft version. I wanted to use the white one as it got very vibrant, but it took a swim. At least I had a back up. It's coloured with the pens from Spectrum Noir mainly and a few of the Prisma pencils. Not my normal colouring medium but from time to time it's fun to do something different from what I normally do. The image is one of the newer ones from the Paper Shelter and it's found here.

I did colour this image with another paper pad in mind but didn't like how it looked with the craft. So big dive in to the pile, well enormous pile of 6*6 paper pads. I ended up with a mix of prima papers and one did I ad some sentiment/wording on as it was a bit blend in this mix, but I used a Prima stamp for it, so all Prima anyway. How come that some papers that are stunning are so hard to use on your (read my) creations? They are kind of hard to get together for some reason.

A big bunch of flowers from a bunch of companies has been used as you see. The lovely metal corner and pins are from a blogging friend of mine. Thanks Annelie! The broad lovely lace is from yet another friend of mine, thanks so much Gail. Some half pearls from Bunny Zoe is also added to the mix, and a tiny bow with a left over brown ribbon. The sentiment stamp is a free bee from the lovely people over at Bildmålarna. Thanks for that one too!

Ok, I better stop here but as usual you have the chance of winning a $30 gift voucher when playing in our challenge and use a TPS image, playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice.

Thanks for dropping by!

oh I do like to be beside the seaside

Hi there! Finally back with a little post from MI. Still struggling with my depression and just can't wait for the fall when things normally get easier for me. A few months more...

So we have a new challenge for you over at Passion for Promarkers. This week's theme is set to "oh I do like to be beside the seaside". That means we want to see creations connected to the sea, water and beaches. I have shown a card earlier with one of the new Bildmålarna images when Mimo and Mimosa are dressed like sailors and here comes a card with little Mimosa. She is coloured with Letraset markers which you also have to use to enter our challenges. I did a use a tiny bit of a grey Prisma pen to tone down the white in the clothes.

The designer papers are also from Bildmålarna and now I have almost used up all of the papers I bought. I don't think that has happend before. And do you know what the best part is? I have not bought anymore to replace them. LoL I have used tons of flowers to decorate the card and some half pearls, you always need that. Some corrugated paper that I white washed just like I did with the first card. There is also a tiny bottle filled with sand from my favourite beach outside Kalmar, a charm, so hemp string representing the rope. The bridy tag is also from the designer papers...

I am affraid I have a bunch more of these cards, they are simular but not totally looking the same. I did a bunch of these as gifts for Philip's teachers who he has now left behind to start school in the fall. I did also make matching picnic baskets for them all, five in total so not strange that the papers are all gone by now, almost... I will show the baskets and the rest of the cards another day. As I don't get much crafting done at the moment, I spread them out a bit. Can always pretend that I am crafting as often as I used too...
