Snowflakes

Morning and hello to you all. How is your week so far? Hope you're enjoying life and make sure you have some crafting time as we have a new fun challenge up for you over at the Paper Shelter. This weeks theme is snow flakes. Nice and easy I hope? You can use any snow flakes your creation. It can be brads, embossed ones, coloured ones, stitched ones, on your dp's, in your image etc. If they are hard to spot tell us where to look for them ok?

Well, I had actually another card made for this challenge but when Veronica introduced this sweethear of an image, I just had to use this one in stead. It's called "the most adorable snowmen". Isn't it just the cutest?

The image is coloured with my Letraset markers as always and for the most part I have used the new set of limited edition markers that I got the other day. That's kind of why I have such bright red colour combo. Wanted to see if they was as nice as I was hoping. A little to bright for my taste, Last year's winter edition was better. Well, it's always fun to add something new to the stash and they will be used so that won't be any problem. LoL

I have used Dovecraft paperpack Modern this time. I believe that one is from last year... As the theme is snow flakes I added a few of those as well as a snowy border. I also used tons of snow on my image in the form of Flower Soft. I love that fluffy stuff. To match it up and balance the card a tiny bit I have also used a die cut from Magnolia that got really well covered up by my big bow and smashing looking snowmen charm. Isn't adorable? Some pearls and a few letter stickers to add a sentiment and I am done for today. Please be sure to pop back tomorrow for my new inspiration card for the AUD sentiment challenges.

Splitting headache

Good evening everyone! My head is hurting, my knee is killing me, every joint in my hands are messing with me still I am posting today LoL It was a long time since I made a card just for fun of it and finally I got some time for it, or not but did it anyway. I really should have done a few exercises of accounting this evening, but I decided to go with card making instead. I have one of those rare nights hen all my boys are gone. The kids are with granddad and grandma and my partner is meeting his childhood friends tonight playing volleyball in one of his friends' pool. And since I have to be in school tomorrow, I had a great chance of getting the kids out of the house. LoL They can't be home alone tomorrow can they? I will watch an episod of Midsummer Murders when I am done here and then take an early night... Doesn't it sound good?

So here comes my card as well. I have had this image coloured up for years and obvious hasn't got around to use it before. Well, tonight I felt a surtain urgde to use it and paired it up with some Maja Design papers from the collection "Sofiero". Nice and soft colours.

Sorry about the photo. It started to rain and the sun was setting. I fix this tomorrow...
At least I got it up here. :) The yellow looking ribbon is actually natural white...

Didn't turn out one bit better, only darker. Too much light...

I used a few ribbons as decoration together with a single rose and some bling stones from stash. Also used the broad ribbon to tie a bow and get a little dimension to the card. I got a great set of dies from Annelie a while ago with three different small labels. They are perfect for a few of my sentiment stamps saying "congrats" in Swedish. Now this card design turned out perfect for the die so on it went. Maybe the card turned out a bit unbalanced but it was fun to make and that's the main thing today.

We have a new challenge up by the way over at Passion for Promarkers. The theme is Christmas in July. I so should have joined the gals for that one as I have yet to start my Christmas cards. Maybe I only make them for all the kids around us this year? Well, we'll see how it all turns out in the end.

Well, thanks for looking. See you soon again hopefully. Time to take care of my sore body and give it some rest.

Love n hugs
Marie

Spring is here!

Morning and welcome to my little post today! We have a new challenge up for you over at the Paper Shelter today and our theme is "Spring is here". So this week something with spring feelings to it. Like soft pastel colours, Easter images, flower images. You know that light feeling you get when spring arrives, well many get it but I don't as for me it's the starting point of the thunder season. I even called the doctor a few weeks back, and they sounded a bit well confused and said that thunder season had not started yet, and then they thought I just wanted to get help well a head. The day after the thunder struck about everwhere in the South part of Sweden. Considering that, I was actually late booking my appointment with the Doc. I still have a week before I get to see her about this. I do hope she has some brilliant idea to help me out with this. I'll do anything except watch and listen to the thunder. Chills runing throw my back just thinking about it...

Ok, you might say: Hey didn't you show that card for your last TPS challenge? Well, not really but almost. I got this card started and wanted to replace the first one with this, but I got sick and didn't find the time to finish it. But here it is! I do love these cute rabbits and for some strange reason I love making Easter cards. Having a hard time understanding that since we do nothing during this celebration. Well. this time we will spend a day at the football / soccer field as Willy has his first out door tournament of the year on Sunday. Hope the weather will be nice and sunny.

So the image once again is called Little Easter Bunnies and they are coloured up with my Letraset Markers. This time as well I have used the First Edition pad called Spring Drop. Nice and a good spring feeling to it. This is actually the left overs from the other card. LoL A little less in the cut up collection to use later on = never. No sentiment on this card and some spring flowers instead. The daffodils came from a blogging friend of mine, Annelie. Check out her stunning work here. An old ribbon, probably bought on some sale somewhere on line gave a little balance to the card. Also some sweet lovely yellow pearls has been put to use here. To finish off you always need some butterflies. I think this is my forth card in a row with these little creatures on. Oh well, you can never have too many butterflies around.

Bow die or bow and die or...

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a good week so far. Spending the day at the hospital today, working out my new, well first hearing aid. Will be an intresting experience that I have no clue what that will lead to. Well, better hearing I hope. LoL Actually really nervous about this and how it will work out. Willl be a bit interesting to hear what people has to say as well. That's the good thing about blogging world, you don't need your ears. ;)

This is my second last week as a guest designer ower at Papertake Weekly. These three months has really passed by quickly. I still have one more to go then it's time for someone else to join this brillant team. But first my two last cards.

Well then, here it comes! For this week the theme of bow and dies are set. And if you are lucky enough you can always use a bow die, two in one how to speak, but I am not one of those lucky persons. So both a ribbon bow and a bunch of die cuts is what I have used for this card.

I have used one of the stunning images from Sugar Nellie and coloured her with my Letraset Markers and some prisma pencils for a little softer look. Then she is mounted on three different die cut circles made with spellbinder dies. The two top layers are mounted with form pads 1 mm. The second layer has a row of pearl string on it as I love the look of it. The designer paper is from Maja Design from about two years back. Love the summer feeling to this paper. Poppies happens to be my favourite flowers next to tulips and Gerbera flowers.

Tons of flowers, glitter glue and more pearls is used to decorate the card. The butterflies is made with a Doo hickey die from Magnolia. A hear and a butterfly charm is also used from my never ending stash of charms. The ribbon bow I placed on top for once with a few rose buds.

Hope you like it and come and play with us over at the Papertake Weekly challenges as well this week. There was some smashing entries last week and I can't wait to see what more you will come up with this week.

Love n hugs
Marie

Geek week

Morning everyone! Hope life treats you kind. Feeling ok today, a bit tired but ready to get on with what ever the day brings.

Today it's Tuesday again and what does that mean? Oh yes! It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. A new fun theme called Geeks - images wearing glasses is what you get from us this week. A really fun theme with tons of charming inspiration from the team. You really should pop over to the PFP blog and check it out.

I've had this image from The Paper Shelter called Learning is fun coloured for a long time now and finally got to use her. I was looking for the right designe papers to  go with her. These ones used here is from Echo Park and the digital collection called Paper and Glue. There was even a dp having glasses on it. My lucky day! ;)

I used the latest sketch from Papertake Weekly as I liked it. My second creation with it. I would get lost without the lovely sketches out there. My image is of course coloured with my Letraset family. I kept the design really simple without any extra decorations. Only a few pearls to tie it all together somehow.

We have a sponsor for this challenge as well and that is our dear friends over at Letraset offering a 6-pack of flexmarkers for one lucky winner. I wouldn't mind that prize myself. :)

Ok then, see you back tomorrow when I have a new creation up for the Paper Shelter.

Love n hugs

What?

I know, three days in a row. For now that has to be a record. LoL I have cut down a bit on my card crafting. There is so many other things to do as well, but most of all, the time by the computer gives a bit too much pain as it is and so does Unfortunately my card crafting as well. However it is way to much fun to give it up and when I know my limit and stick to it, it all works out ok.

We have a new challenge up for you over at Passion For Promarkers this week (still can't believe I belong to the team). This weeks theme is "Create a scene i.e. cloud background etc". I have made a fairly simple card as my neck was causing me so much trouble this time. Could hardly do my coloring but I got there in the end. Think I have to spend a few days or so when I feel better preparing a few images for upcoming challenges. Might be a good idea.

Once again I have used a Tilda image, and this one is from the new collection Sea Breeze 2013. She "belongs" to the club kit that was sent out a few weeks ago. Even if I hardly ever uses the Magnolia images I make sure to get all the club kits, resulting in a never ending stash of unused images. I try to use at least a few of them now. LoL The new Miss Tilda is used together with an old back ground stamp from another summer kit but I don't recall what it was called. Of course they are both colored with my dear old Letraset family. The designer papers are from the Paradise beach paper pad once again. Love the colours in this pad. The only decorations is some pearls and a die cut border.

Our sponsor this week is the Digi Stamp Boutique and they are offering a prize of 6 digi images for one lucky winner. How great isn't that?

Well lovely people, by the time you read this I am taking a swim in the ocean and hopefully the sun is shining as well. Hubby won't be home tonight so I want the kids really tired so the go to sleep early. Fat chance of that when they know the soccer gals are playing the group final tonight against Italy. Heja Sverige!

Love n hugs

And so a new week begins

Evening to you all. Hope you have had a really good day. Here it has been ok, started off with snozzing a bit since my partner was home sick. He got up and gave the kids breakfast. I am so tired in the mornings as my sleeps are not too good, so I am very grateful for that. Then off on our bikes for kindergarten and school with the kids. Then some breakfast and then off to the gym for a work out with dear old mum. (But don't tell her that I called her old) LoL.

Now the kids are sleeping again and I have finished editing almost four hundred photos from 2010 and sent them of to the photo lab. They have a good offer with less than half prize at this moment. I am almost at 2012 with the kids photos now! Jiippiii! Never thought I get this far but who am I to give it up? I love watching my old photo albums and hope my kids will too one day.

And now to a card. This is another one of the summer cards for the teachers in the kindergarten. I have a few left to show, and since there is still a few summer challenges out there I thought I get one up tonight. This is a Fay Whittaker image coloured with distress inks. The designer papers are from Maja design. Charm comes from Bildmålarna if I'm not totally lost. A very simple card, just as it tends to be when you start way too late to create and you have many to make. :)

Anyway, this is all from me for today. Take care and enjoy what tomorrow brings!

Love n hugs
Marie
