For a child over at Passion for Markers

 Morning and hello!
I am here again, after two weeks absence. I struggle a bit with my fingers and hands and it makes me slow and I do very little during the days. No energy for nothing. Except for listening to audio books and combing and brushing my feline friends.

Ok card creation once again. It is a new challenge over at Passion for Markers today. We have the theme of "For a child" and we have a sponsor for this challenge do we have a sponsor, just as always.

Our sponsor is All Dressed UP and they offer one lucky winner two digis of winner's choice. Thank you for that!

For my card have I used a sponsor image called Puddle ducks. You find it here. I have coloured with a mix of copics and promarkers. I struggled a bit but I did managed to make a card at least. Some days you have to be happy to manage to get some kind of result.

The image is paired up with designer papers from Echo Park. They are a mix from different spring papers from my stash. Maybe I can get one or two more cards out of the leftovers. I picked these designer papers because I wanted a lot of colours that is happy and cheerful.

I took out some buttons and some pears shaped as stars. A die cut from my stash wish "Congratulations" in Swedish. I have layered three pieces so there is a bit of contrast and texture to the card. My teamies over at Passion for Markers have done some smashing creations, pop on over to have a good look and inspiration from them, and then come and join us.

Take care and do something that make you happy!

Love n hugs

It's Passion time

Hello and good morning everyone!
Hope life treats you well and you have had a wonderful start of the week. Here we are recovering from a bunch of colds but that should pass as well I hope. Rather sooner than later would be good. :)

It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers today, and guess what? Yepp! It's my turn to host and as I always are in deep need of cards for boys, I chose that as my theme: One for the boyz. And it really needs to show that it is for male. Nothing more, nothing less. With two boys in the age of birthday parties with friends, I always seen to be rushing around like mad trying to make up some birthday boys cards. I can have this theme for ten weeks and it still wouldn't be enough. LoL

Well, well time to talk about the card then. For a big change I have use a High Hope image. Wish that would happen a little more often than it does. But they are hard to get here in my little corner of the world. Anyway, this stamp used to day did actually Willy win when he took part in his first challenge ever over at the wonderful friendly people over at High Hope Challenges. They even offered him a guest designer spot. I will never forget that. So sweet!

Back to the card. Most of Willy's friends plays in the same soccer team and this little guy does as well. So a soccer card it was, once again. Have lost count of how many it has been by now. LoL He is of course coloured with my Letraset family and paired up with some lovely dp's fitting the theme from YouDo. A dynamo piece with the kids name and a big "7" to tell how old he is was put on. Two soccer ball-buttons that I cut down to make them flat was added to the mix. The inside was also decorated but that part is private and you don't get to see it! :)

Clearly Besotted Stamps is sponsoring us this week over at Passion for Promarkers. I am not really sure what
the prize is but I will ad that to the post as soon as I have figured that out. I am still lost in that Yahoo group.
When I managed to find my way around, the place gets a new look. Typical! LoL

Well, time to go and hopefully do something crafty. I really hope that you will come and play with us over at
PFP this week. I am so looking forward to see what you come up with for this challenge. I need some boyz
themed inspiration!

Love n hugs
Marie

April Showers...

Hello and good afternoon everyone! Sorry everyone that I has been so quiet here lately. I really lost all energy the other week and just thought about my granny that passed away a few weeks ago. It totally drained me, and even the weather worked with me on this. All rain, just poured down and didn't want to stop, which is really suitable for this challenge from the Crafty Card Makers team. The theme for the coming two weeks are "April Showers gives May flowers". So a rainy image together with at least two flowers and you'll be fine for our challenge this time.

My card this time is done with quite a lot of Magnolia products. I really was in the mood to colour with my distress inks and images that is the most fun to colour with these are the Magnolia stamps for some reason. Besides, I have an huge box filled with Magnolias that I have never use so I better get started. This is one of all my Tildas with rubber boots. I love the images with that, I actually have a whole collection with them. LoL

Tilda is paired up with an old Kaiser Kraft pad called The Daisy pad. Flowers are from Magnolia, The ribbon girls and Wild Orchid Craft. Butterflies made with a MS punch, the fabric ones comes from my stash. All edges are covered with some heavy gesso, and I followed the sketch from CLP challenges. Glossy accent and Crackle paint is also used on the image. Some text stamps is also used and they are from Magnolia too.

And this is what our challenge post says more or less this time. Be sure to pop by our challenge blog for all details and see what my teamies has been up too. Some fabby inspiration to be found there.

"Tracey said 'Hello friends. When I think of April, I am always reminded of the saying "April showers bring May flowers". For this challenge, I would like to see cards that include an image of something rain related and are embellished with at least2 flowers. Your image could be a child splashing in puddles, a person walking in the rain, ducks waddling through puddles, an umbrella, etc.'

Please ensure your creation has both something rain related, and a minimum of two flowers to qualify for a winner or Top 5 slot.

Finally back

Hello, hello hello! I am back, finally back! It feels like I have been gone forever but I have just been busy as the kids has been off school for a week. Less time to do your normal things then, and last Saturday we celebrated W. 6th birthday with relatives and close family. I have even been so busy that I forgot to make him a card! Now I have to do it afterwards as he says he needs his yearly card. LoL So typical for him! A bought one was not ok, cause mum makes them much better, he said. Guess if I got some energy back after that?

I have a new card to show and this time I have a birthday card made. My youngest son was at a birthday party a few hours before W started his, so I had to make a card for the neighbor's daugther as P said you have to have a card when you go to a party. They are well trained my boys aren't they?

This is what I came up with for Ebba. P picked out the image himself and gave me rebuff on my colouring. He wasn't happy with the colours I started with, so I re coloured Tilda wit Daisy and he was a happy kid. I coloured her with distress inks.  I paired her up with some designer papers from Bearly Mine Designs called Petunia Parade. With some black cardstock it made the whole card a little more interesting for a kid.

I also used some glitter strips from Anita's and used a good amount of silver coloured stickles. All the dies used on this card is from Doo Hickeys, Magnolia. For some more fun details I also used a pearl pen from my stash to make a few dots here and there.

And since it is Tuesday and my week to host the challenge over at Bearly Mine Challenges, I better tell you all our theme for the week. We are going all in and have Anything goes this week. So I bet I will see you over at the Bearly Mine Challenges, right?

Love n hugs
Marie

A new challenge card

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the world again. Hope you are having a wonderful week with lots of fun and crafting. (As those two isn't the same? Right) LoL

For my card have I used the wonderful and very lovely image called So stylish. A real treat to colour and I gave here lots of colours before I ended up with this and sent the rest to the trash can. The rest of the gang didn't feel right of some reason. So I have paired her up with some wonderful designer papers from Maja design and used lace, flowers and some nick nacks as decorations that I found in my boxes. I hope you like what I came up with.

We have a new challenge up over at the Paper Shelter and hope that you will join in. We have the lovely theme of Distressing and I for sure can't wait to see what you all come up with. You can use your inks, tear and rip your papers, wrinkle them etc. But just colour with distress inks won't do it, ok?

As always if you use a Paper Shelter image on your creation you have a shot at winning a gift Voucher worth $30 to spend in the store. Using another brand gives you a chance of winning three digis of your choice.

Hope to see you around

Love n hugs
Marie

A new little card

Good morning, I am back with a new card to show today. This time I have made a LOTV card for the Lili's Little fairies challenge "Black Magic". I have been doing so many pale cards lately that I thought it was fun with some black and bright pinks and silver to that. The little penguin is coloured with my Letraset family. Totally adore my markers, and other colour mediums as well. LoL But for some reason I always go back to the markers.

Enough about that. The designer papers are from and old stack from DCWV if I don't remember wrong. Have not used it for years but I looked in all boxes filled with different designer papers and this popped up, I had forgotten all about it. Oh well, so was it with my gemstones as well. They hide in a box and now found those to and got them to work for me. My snowflakes are made with a Whimsy Die. I just adore these snowflakes. Just a little big, why does everything has to be that? Big I mean.

Now I have to leave the computer as my hands are not working with me today. Weather change, it's a lot colder even if the sun is shining. The air is much more crisp than before. Hope it stays this way then I might get some rest from the pain in the coming days. On the other hand I am going to the doctor tomorrow and then it can be good with some pain. LoL

Also a big thank you to the lovely DT over at Passion for Promarkers that picked my ballerina card for their top five this week. Thanks so much gals. It means the world to me. You are the ones who got me into this blogging stuff from the beginning.

Remember to be grateful for what you got and what will come your way. Life is good even when it's hard...

Love n hugs
Marie

And so a new week begins

Evening to you all. Hope you have had a really good day. Here it has been ok, started off with snozzing a bit since my partner was home sick. He got up and gave the kids breakfast. I am so tired in the mornings as my sleeps are not too good, so I am very grateful for that. Then off on our bikes for kindergarten and school with the kids. Then some breakfast and then off to the gym for a work out with dear old mum. (But don't tell her that I called her old) LoL.

Now the kids are sleeping again and I have finished editing almost four hundred photos from 2010 and sent them of to the photo lab. They have a good offer with less than half prize at this moment. I am almost at 2012 with the kids photos now! Jiippiii! Never thought I get this far but who am I to give it up? I love watching my old photo albums and hope my kids will too one day.

And now to a card. This is another one of the summer cards for the teachers in the kindergarten. I have a few left to show, and since there is still a few summer challenges out there I thought I get one up tonight. This is a Fay Whittaker image coloured with distress inks. The designer papers are from Maja design. Charm comes from Bildmålarna if I'm not totally lost. A very simple card, just as it tends to be when you start way too late to create and you have many to make. :)

Anyway, this is all from me for today. Take care and enjoy what tomorrow brings!

Love n hugs
Marie
