Clean and Simple it is

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the world this lovely Monday. Hope you had a great start of your week and that the rest of it will continue at the same path. It's challenge time over at Crafty Card Makers again. I bet you have been wondering what you will come up with for this weeks challenge I bet. Well, I better tell you then. Clean and Simple it is. CAS cards are our thing the coming two weeks. Cards with lots of white space and very little decorations. I believe this is the first time I have manage to make something that can actually count as clean and simple. Much harder to make a good looking CAS card than you ever think. I dare you to try it! LoL

So my card feature an image from my beloved The Paper Shelter. Love those image from the botton of my heart, truly. Anyway, back to the card. My dear Father Christmas is coloured with my Letraset family and I am so pleased with how the red came out this time. Especially on the chimney. Wonder what colours I used? LoL

Back to business and my card. It's coloured on some kind of Copic paper I think. I am still trying to find the perfect replacement for the wonderful heavyweight paper that Letraset used to sell. I love it because it's not shiny and it has a bit of a surface on it that isn't so glossy. Glossy kills the colours as they mutate in my way of seeing it. They are not as bright as they normal are. I shut up now and keep talking about the card instead, sorry! For my sentiment did I use a stamp from YouDo and blinged it up a little. Couldn't just leave it like that, could I ? Thought so. I did cut a snowflake from the wonderful collection from Joy crafts. Superb looking flake isn't it? I added a blingstone to the centre of that to. When all that was done I couldn't help myself so I used my scoringboard from Martha S, you know and made a line all the way around the card to add a little extra to it. I added a dark red backing panel as well to keep the card together with the other red parts. I like it but I feel it's something missing, but I can't think of what it can be.

Sponsors for this challenge is
DI'S DIGISTAMPS
with a $10 GIFT VOUCHER

winner will recive a £10 voucher for their store,
you can spend this online, or if you're lucky enough to see them at a show!

Well I think this is enought from me for today. So I see you when I can. Busy trying to get my life in order with out fighting the system. Guess if it shows that it's election year here in Sweden? Eventhing is getting upgraded and change just so they can say that we don't have many home with longterm illnesses or are unemployed etc. I am one out of many, many more how is so tired fighting all this and noone understand how it is to live with crappy illnesses that doesn't kill you but make worth less whatever you try to do when it comes to working, getting the union working for you. It's such a joke, not even my worst enemy would deserve this.

Love n hugs

New CCM challenge

Hi and welcome back to my little corner of the world. Hope you're doing fine and feel better than me. Struggling with my thunder fear for days now, but better days will come I hope. :)

Todays challenge over at CCM will last for three weeks to put us back on track again, and that means you have until 18th of August to enter our "1, 2, 3" challenge. That means we want to see 1 image, 2 designer papers and 3 embellishments. (Either three different kinds of them or three of them, I think our team has interpreted it a bit different.) I have three different kinds of embellishments on my card this time. :) Pearls, ribbon and a charm.

Our sponsors this week
with a $20 gift certificate for their fabulous store

with a prize of £12.00 to spend at your favourite Woodware Stockist, either in store or on line.

And here comes my card, sorry about the strange photo. The weather is really strange and make it harder than normal to take a fairly good photo.

The image is from the Paper Shelter and coloured with my Letraset family as usual. The designer papers are from First Edition, sorry don't remember witch pad. Wish you all a good day!

Good afternoon!

Hello and welcome to a new week here with me. Hope you are doing fine and have had a lovely weekend. As I am still having trouble with my shoulders I spend as little time as I can by the PC, but I miss it too much and can't help myself. LoL So still tons of pain and fighting the health insurance office, not taking those two in to count it's a good day. You see, positive thinking! I like it. It's almost as good as gratefulness. Have you been grateful for what you have around you today? If not, it's time to start that thought now.

This card of mine is made with a lovely digi image from Sweet and Sassy. It's called autumn collage and I just love it. I have managed to fool my laser printer this time and got it printed on water coloring paper. Coloured have I done with distress inks in wonderful rich lovely autumn colours. My designer papers are from Bo Bunny. The flowers was white in an earlier life, I recoloured them with my Letraset family. Some golden corners, a piece of film strip and golden pearls are my decorations for this card. I took inpiration for the card design from a sketch provided from CLP challenges, the sketch is an older one.

Milk coffee Digital Stamps
Cute digis for cute creations

This is also my first card for the Crafty Card Makers. I am so pleased to have joined this wonderful team. A whole bunch of new crafty friends. Thank for having me! I hope you pop on over to the challenge blog and come and join us in our theme of Autumn or Autumn festivals. And since this is a card made to inspire you at our new challenge over at Crafty card Makers, there is also a sponsor and that is Milk Coffee Digital stamps, be sure to pay them a visit.

I am back!

Hi there and welcome to my little corner of the world! I am so tired today and my legs are so heavy. I must be weighing a ton, at least. Oh well, that's the prize you pay to work out! It's a good pain, don't get me wrong. But I wasn't prepared for this stiffness and heavyness. I do hope it will be gone by Friday when I will do a little indoor biking with my mum. First time ever for here, second time for me. I am actually high on the thought that I managed to convince her that this was a good idea. Let me get back to you on Friday to see how it all went. LoL

And here comes a card as well! Yepp! I have been at it again and this time I have used the Paper Shelter image Licence to Frost found here. Isn't she a doll? I love this pretty image and for once I am really pleased with my colouring. This time I have used my dear old Family of Letraset. They have by the way a brand new waterbased neon marker set out. I will try to use them on an image soon.

My designer papers are from Bearly Mine Design and from the digi kit Spring Mist if I remember right. I have even made some dry embossing on the spotty paper. Also joining in is a bunch of dies from Magnolia, Marianne design, Spellbinders and Cheeryl Lynn. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft, I am Roses and The Ribbon Girls. Metal corners are from WOC as well. Butterflies from Altheas Mix. Stickles and gesso is also used on the card. Hope you like it.

And the card is made for our new challenge at the Paper Shelter where we have the theme of Tag! You're it! With that said we want to see at least one tag on your card, or you make a tag and decorate it. It's up to you. I do hope you'll come and join in the fun! We have also got an extra $10 to our voucher, so now it's worth a wooping $30! It can be yours if you play with a TPS image in our challenges, otherwise you have the chance of winning three (3) digis of your choice. That's lovely too! Come and let us see all the smashing TPS images out there, I know you have them!

Love n hugs

Good evening!

Here I am again! Tired and struggling to sleep. I know it's not that late yet but the day has been long and I am drained of energy at the moment. Just a few more days and I will have some little time to myself again. I just can't wait for that. For six weeks it has been someone around me about all the time and I am a person that needs time alone.

Well, I thought I show you a card I made for one of my nephews earlier this summer. I have used a Lili of the Valley image that I really love. Coloured with my Letraset family and paired up with papers from... oh dear! I have forgotten that Echo Park or My Minds Eye maybe? The sentiment reads Happy Birthday. A fun and bright card to a great kid.

Only a little decorations on this card in the form of card craft candy and the Magnolia dies used for the cloud and banners. Also some reused corrugated card always looks nice on boy's cards. This card traveled long before ending up at Elias' place. They where out of town and I sent it to the place they where and even if I sent it well a head it came after they have left. So it had to be sent back to their place where I could have sent it from the beginning but I thought it would be fun to get some mail at the same day you have your birthday. Thank you so much Swedish Postal services! You are truly to trust with our mail!

With love n hugs
Marie
