Wedding card

Morning and hello! Another card I made this year for no dt. I think I am up to two of these now. LoL. I wonder were all time goes. I used to have so much time for card making and writing to my friends. Oh well at least I have something to write about when I finally write these days. It is so worth having a job to go to and have a "normal" life again.

This card was made for my cousin and his wife and as I had forgot to take photos of it before we went to Hässleholm where the wedding took place the photo isn't that good. I had really fun making this card even if I had no colouring done this time, or may be it was fun because of it. So much easier. I spent quite some time with my die cutting mashine for this card and I think that I have used dies from Magnolia, Sweden only and in all different kinds. Some are border dies some flowers dies and the letters are a Tim Holtz die. The dp's is a mix of papers from Pion Design and some scraps I had laying that fitted perfect in colours.

I have used tons of broze/golden wax on the flowers and on the label die. The lace with the roses is from Wild Orchid Crafts I think and the pearl string is from Rox stamps.

I like the design of this card a lot so I have actually made yet another two with fairly much the same design. I will show them during the week. One being a thank you card and the other for a birthday...

Take care and I talk to you soon again. Do something that makes you happy!

Anything goes - Christmas

Morning and hello! Welcome back to my corner of the blogging world. I hope you have had a great week with tons of fun and some crafting to that. LoL

It is time for a new challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge and I am still in Christmas mood and keep on going with my Christmas creations. This time is it a bit simpler that it has been for a while even it took some time to get them done. I have spent some time doing some Christmas tags for my  Christmas gifts. The time comes closer and closer to wrapping those gifts up. It isn't very far way now.

The best part of this is that I have used only left overs. The tags are made out of chip board kind of, it's the back side of a aquarel paper pad. It's really thick. I have painted them all first with gesso and then some layers of pearly white paint. After that I made use of a stencil that I have hanging on my wall, hardly never use it but all the stars on it was perfect for my Christmas themed tags. The tags are made with some heavy dies from Tim Holtz.

When all these layers of paint and mixed media products had dried after three or four layers was it time for me to add some left over images from a pad with Winter birds from LOTV. I only used two of them for these five tags as I have fairly small tags with only some decorations and a space on the back for writing to whom the gift is. It's stamped with a stamp from Marianne Design I think.

Back to the images. I cut them down to fit my tags and to make the most of them. The back side to this is that I have even tons more of these images to make cards or tags with. It's a never ending pad. LoL I glued them down to the end of the tags and then made a border with some stickles. I can't remember which kind it was. When that was dried, which took quite some time I covered all of the images with glossy accents. Some of the tags has air bubbles in the gloss and it looks really smashing.

Tons of work for these tags, still a simple project. The strings I have tied into them are bakers twin that was sent with last year's advent calender from Magnolia and some hemp string from a gift I got for my birthday during the summer. Nice and easy and tons of  recycing. Kind of proud of me!

So come on now people, it's getting closer and closer to Christmas so come on and join us over at The Merry Christmas Challenge. Our theme is always "Anything goes" so just show us any kind of Christmas projects. You might Crochet, Cross stitch or do some other handicraft which has to do with Christmas. We welcome all kind of crafts!

Take care and do something that you enjoy! (Like Christmas cards... LoL)

Halloween or halloween colours

Morning and hello! I am back again with yet another post here this month. It has been a busy one, hasn't it? All the weather changes is getting to me and I am kind of tired. Today will I show a very colourful card and it's not a Christmas card. It was a long time since I did something else than that with colouring.

Denise Morgans foto.

The card is for our challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and the colours are rich and warm and totally out of my comfort zone. The theme is set to Halloween or Halloween colours. We are sponsored by Bugaboo design this week. My image is called Funky Flower Blocks

To have a chance of the winnings in our challenge you have to used at least a few promarkers or Winsor and Newton markers.

The colours became kind of dark but I actually like how it turned out in the end. The shine on the flowers and leaves is glossy accents and it floated a bit but looks ok on the card. And on some of the black outlines have I covered the lines with a white gel pen to make it show a bit more. A bit of play with different colour mediums. Before the gloss dried I used some dry glitter on it. The image is really sparkly and nice. The dp's are from my scrap box and I have no clue about either one of them. But it feels good to use up some old stuff. :)

I have used some net to get a feel of a spider which is also hiding on the card. It's a charm I had in my hidings. The leafy dies and the spider web is from Magnolia. I love these leaves. They are really cute and the smaller they get the better they look. The card candy which I added to fill up some empty space are just like the spider web in gold.

Well then, I am done for today. Now off to work and then some new blood tests. Not looking forward to that part of the day, but it has to be done. And this evening will my brother bring over his doggy as we well be his family when his "normal" lol family is out on adventures. He is a really sweetheart but I hate walking the dog. It's better to have him laying in the bed snoring. And as he is the dog he is, he hates rain and refuse to go outside when it rains. That is my kind of dog.

Just for fun - a male card

Morning and hello! Yet another card from me and it's not a Christmassy one. Strange isn't it? It's really hard to make cards that has nothing to do with my favourite time of the year and the more I make of them the harder it gets to make something else. LoL

So this was a bit of a challenge for me as it is way more of a summer card than anything else. It was nice just doing some cutting and gluing. I have tons of this collection from Maja Design so I bet there will be just a few more cards like this in the future.

The image is from the cutting paper from the collection called "Denim and friends". All the designer papers are also from the same collection. For some more texture and not just all the normal layers I have added some of the old cheese cloth that was so popular a while back. I have also used some hemp twine. And to match the the colours of the card and to give the card some lovely details have I added some wooden stars. It matches the lovely sentiment that is printed on the designer papers. Decided to use it as it was printed there. LoL To the fantastic colours in this collection is Kraft card the perfect match. I have also distressed all the edges.

Well, this was all from me for today. I wish you a wonderful day and please do something that makes you happy!

Around the card have I also used liquid enamel dots in white.

Make it Square

Morning and hello! I am back again after a hard week where I have been very tired but all due to a fun thing from the weekend. We, me and the rest of family attended my cousins wedding which took place in a bat cave in the Southern part of Sweden. A great old fashion wedding with tons of Irish hints like nature theme, old fashion clothes and a band playing Irish and Scottish folk music. My oldest has been listen to the music more than once since then.

Well now back to reality and the card I have to show for todays new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. We have the theme of Make it Square this week and that just simply mean that we want to see a sqaure card. It's not a challenge at all, but sometimes it has to be simple doesn't it?

I have used the great image called Follow the Stars and it's one of the newer images from the Paper Shelter. I have coloured this stunning image with my Letraset Markers / Winsor and Newton markers. And I have stayed in a grey scale when it comes to everything except for the hair and skin parts. I love to colour with my grey markers but the options are running out as there is no more Tria markers anymore. It might be a chance that I have to go over to the dreadful Copics but at least they have started to make markers with a firm tip which I prefere. Maybe it will work...

Anyway to match the image up which I also spent the morning fussy cutting out I have decided to used my favourite paper pad from Lawn Fawn. They are smashing amazing all the paper pads they have. The colours are just fantasic! This time I went with the blue/grey pad as it is perfect match to my grey lady.

Decorations then. I have used some snowflake dies from Lawn Fawn in mini versions. A silver net ribbon and a silver charm with Christmas bells is also added to the card. I have used some tiny letter stickers to spell out Merry Christmas in Swedish. An old Martha Stewart punch is also used for a punched border which gives a little interest to the card.

I really hope that you want to come and play with us as you are not forced to play with our brand even if we love it when you do. You have the chance of winning digis for a value of $30 playing with our brand otherwise you can win three digis of your choice. Mr Random is always picking our winners for you so you need to have some luck as well.

This is all from me for today. I will be back on Friday again with a new card reminding you all about the fabby challenge we have over at the Winter Wonderland. Just use a Christmas flower as your main focus and you are good to go. Nice and easy for us all.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Christmas flower

Morning and hello! Hope you have had a good week so far. I have been home with sick kids again. But now we're on the go again. Having some family fun the coming weekend and no soccer at all for the first time in a very long time. Feels great!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at the Winter Wonderland challenge blog and we have the theme of Christmas flowers. So anything with Christmas flowers should do it. It's a nice and simple theme so you might even have the time to make two cards? :)

The designer papers I have used is a mix from Magnolia and Dovecraft or maybe Paper Mania. The sentiment is from Marianne Design I think and so is the banner die. I have also used a Martha Stewart punch for some details on the edges. A ribbon tied with a bow and a heart charm is also added to the mix. To balance up the top part of the card have I used some pearl hearts.

Well, I hope you will come and join our challenge over at the Winter Wonderland. It's a nice and easy challenge and you only have to make sure that you have some Christmas flowers on your creation.

Anything goes - Christmas

Morning and hello! And an early moring it is. This is posted before I woke up today. Time differences you know. A total mess to keep track of. I am just hoping I am halfway right. Anyway, it's Wednesday at least and it's time for a new challenge over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. So come on and join us for some festive fun!

I am working my way down the pile of Christmas cards that needs to be done. Yet again am I using the Christmas village from Lawn Fawn. I coloured a bunch of these houses at the same time with the same colours so the look kind of simular but it's easiest that way. So if you think you have seen this card before, you have not, but you have seen a simular one and I am guessing that a few more will show up using this set. The snowy hills are also dies from Lawn Fawn.

I have coloured with distress markers this time and some glitter pens for the stars, moon and in the windows of the houses. All roofs has gotten the same treatment as well. Just for some Christmas sparkle.

Sweet and short today. I wish you a great week and hope you will come and join us over at the Merry Christmas Challenge this week as well. We are getting closer and closer to the big celebrations aren't we?

Take care and do something that you enjoy!

Embossing

Morning and hello! Hope you're having a good week so far? I am a bit tired as the days are getting shorter and the sun shine burst isn't that big at the moment. Well, something is good at least and that is that we have a new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers and this weeks theme is set to "embossing", wet or dry. It's totally up to you.

Before I show you the card, to my defence I was really tired making this card. It was made in the middle of the night in an attempt to think about something else than the pain that was going on during that time. It's better now but my card is still a bit crooked. LoL

I have once again use one of the fantastic images from Sassy Cheryl. Her images just make me smile and feel good. They are totally fantastic! And I happen to love snow men. :) Of course it's coloured with my Winsor & Newton / Letraset Markers. I have also used a few pencils to enhance the shadowing. I ended up with a bit of strange colours for this card, but it turned out quite fun. A happy card!

My designer papers are from Dove Craft and the pad Merry Magic. Filled with fun and funky Christmas papers in a modern twist, that's for sure. But if it's colourful it's spreads happy...
Our theme is embossing and I have some on my card but it doesn't show that much as I have it on the back panel and it's done on vellum. I have used a snow flake embossing plate. And to all the happy colours have I used some black accents. It makes all the colours pop even more.

Sponsoring our challenge is Uniko and the prize up for grabs is one stamp set, which must be in stock. We thank our sponsor for that.

Don't forget that you have to use the Winsor & Newton / Letraset markers to have a chance of winning our prize.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Border dies or border punches

Morning and hello! I am back again with a new dt-project for my beloved Paper Shelter. Wednesdays comes around qickly these days and I am having a blast making Christmas cards. Better role with it as long as it lasts. LoL

This week our theme is set to border punches or border dies. Either one or both is fine with us. Most of us have tons of these laying around, but are we really making the work with us? I for sure doesn't do it enough. So this time I really had to pull them out.

I have used the first Christmas digi of the year for this card. It's called Santas helper and I have coloured with my Letraset/Winsor and Newton markers. I have also used a white gel pen for some details and covering up. Too heavy on hand with my markers and making it bleed a bit even if I use good paper to colour on.

I have used a paper pad from Glitz that has nothing to do with Christmas at all. Thought it would be fun to try something different and since my main colours are red and grey on this card, I thought why not go black and white with the DP's? Became kind of fun and I like it even if it's a little busy in it's patterns. The paper pad is called "black and white".

To decorate have I used some pebbles letter stickers and spelled out Merry Christmas in Swedish. Some twine for texture and a snow flake charm as I have around 200 of them or so. Kind of need to use them up, don't I? The punch I have used is one of my very first ones. It's from Fiskars and I think it's called lace something somehing. I have also used a border die from DooHickey, Magnolia. I have only use a tiny bit of it and it's not so long from the start either. Thought it would be cute to add it as an extra detail even if it's hardly visable.

When you play with us over at The Paper Shelter you always have a chance of winning a gift voucher worth $30, but that is only if you use one of our digis. Playing with another brand gives you the chance to win three digis of your choice. Nice isn't it?

Well, take care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs
Marie
