Christmas Cheers 17-23

Morning and hello!
Time for a bit of a cozy Christmas. We are soon there, only around 2 more months left now. Wasn't it Christmas the other week? This year have passed by so totally crazy fast. I guess it's best to hold on and follow the flow.

I have played with an image from hÄnglar and Wings again. This little cutie is found in the set called Tomtenissar. It has two lovely images and, two sentiments and two different berries and Leafs. It's one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets. Supersweet! And fun to color.

I have dug into my stash of Echo Park paper pads. These papers are from the paper pad called Lumber Jack Christmas. Lovely. It might be a mix of papers as well as I can't find one of them in the pack. Oh well, it became a card of it, and I love how it become and I have also used a bit of well paper and some cheese cloth. I have also used some pearls for decorations as well.

Take care and take some time to do something for you!

Christmas Cheers 11-23

Morning and hello!
It's time for another Christmas card from me. I have used another oldie but goodie from Sugar Nellie. This is a favorite image of mine., it makes me smile every time. Wonder how many cards I can make with this stamp without getting bored?

I have had fun with my Maja Design papers for this card. I don't know from which paper pad these are but one of the newer ones. I have used a snowflake die to make some snowflakes with and fence die from Magnolia. And that is all I have used for this card together with many layers of card stock.

Have a good day and do something that makes you happy!

Christmas Cheers 1 - 2023

Morning and hello!
Here comes my first Christmas card for 2023. I am a bit behind when it comes to posting my cards for this yearly challenge of mine. I have a bunch of cards made that is waiting to be shown but we start with this one.

This is a Magnolia stamp and I think it is from last year's collection. I had fun colouring this one and I am making this card in pink and teal. A fun colour combo for Christmas. I have also used a Magnolia designer paper (the one with the music notes). The white panel which looks plain white is also from Crafters companion like the teal/pink papers and it is embossed with a lovely snow flake pattern. However I failed to catch that in my photo.

I have also used some glitter die cut stars together with some pearl stars that matches the rest of the colours in the card. I have had those stars in my stash for a long time. It's nice to use them up. There is a few of them left.  I also added a snow flake in glitter card stock as it was a "dead" area of white around the image. The sentiment is also from Magnolia, it's a part of the stamp set.

Well then! I am glad that I managed to post a second post here on my blog this week. But now is it time for me to rest. I'm low in energy and very tired.

Take good care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs

Colours of spring over at Passion for Markers

 Morning and hello!
Time for a new challenge over at Passion for markers and our theme is set to "Colours of spring". That would be pastel colours, at least in my mind. :)

Our sponsor this week is Dies to die for which will award one lucky winner a gift voucher worth £15. A great prize right?

My card for this challenge features a Tilda image from Magnolia Sweden. This is an old time favourite of mine from this brand. I have coloured her with my promarkers and paired the image with designer papers from Echo Park.

I have used some gemstones in purple as decorations on the image, some paper flowers and die cut leaves together with a charm and twine as extra details. A dotty ribbon and some hot pink pearls finish this spring creation.  I had fun putting it together and now do I hope that you will come and join us over at Passion for Markers.

Take good care and spend time doing something you love!

Spots and/or strips over at Passion for Markers

Morning and hello!
It's time for our anniversary challenge over at Passion for Markers. Our theme is set to spots and/or strips. A nice and easy challenge to deal with, right?

For my card have I use a hÄnglar and Wings image and coloured with my promarkers. I have paired the image up with one of Echo Parks summer papers from the past.

Some rolled flowers and die cut leafs and butterflies is also added to the card. For some extra sparkle have I used some stickles and pearls.

Down below follows some details about the challenge from the original post. Sweet and short from me today as I have trouble with my health that doesn't seem to want to ease at all. So tired of it all!

"Onto this week's challenge and we have a very special one for you this week as it's our 12th Anniversary. Reminder for the mega challenge over at PFP

Morning and hello!
This is a reminder for our mega challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. From today can you see the fabby B-teams creations on our main blog.

And just for the fun of it have I a little card to show today as well. This one is made with the fabby stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn called Not a creature was... something like that. The flor/table the creatures are working on is small left overs from different projects. I think this is a left over from Maja design. The window die is made with a die from MFT I think. Some pop dots gets the card going and give both dimension and interest for the card. Hope you like it!

And here comes some information from our challenge blog

This week we are launching our very special “Mega Christmas challenge” which runs for a whole month and ends on 5th January 2021!  I’m sure you’ll agree that both design teams have worked extremely hard once again this year and they deserve a little break to catch up on their last minute gifts and cards.  However to make up for the lack of challenges we have some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

Our very simple theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “add a sentiment”.  We don't mind what you creation for this challenge, as long as you include a sentiment on your creation!  You are welcome to make Christmas creations but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.  Please can you help us by stating which Letraset products you have used on your creation i.e. ‘coloured with promarkers’ etc.  Thanks x x

So now for the exciting bit – the prizes!

Dies to Die For are offering 1 lucky winner a £20.00 gift voucher

Wow we are sure you’ll agree our sponsors have been super generous once again this year!

We have asked both design teams to share some inspiration with you but as it such a long challenge we will be posting the inspiration from Team 1 today and then in two week’s time we will be posting inspiration from Team 2.  So here are the gorgeous cards from team 1 (please click on their names to visit their personal blogs):

Team 2's creations is found in the reminder post from today over at Passion for promarkers.

So to re-cap the challenge will run until 5th January 2021 and you can enter a maximum of 3 times.  Unfortunately during the Mega Christmas challenge we will not be choosing a top 5 passionista but this will re-commence for the first challenge in 2021.

Just for fun Christmas cheer 1

Morning and hello!
I am back again with a card made during the dark hours of the night when my body and mind doesn't want to go to bed. I have been sleeping fairly good for a while but the last few days has been terrible when it comes to sleep. It's a little too late to fall asleep around 4 in the morning. But the good thing is that I get some crafting done.

For this card have I used one of my beloved stamps from hÄnglar and Wings. This little guy is from the set called Klädd för vinter. It's a set with a boy and a girl and a few sentiment stamps. The sentiments are written in English.

I have coloured with my Promarkers and the paper pad is called Blue and Grey from Creotime. They have some lovely wintery designs. And as I love to work with grey scale in my colouring this is perfect fit for this one. I have also used a bunch of shaped gemstones. A silver ribbon, a snowflake charm, a silk ribbon tied to a bow. The snow flake die is from Lawn Fawn. I have also used a sentiment from hÄnglar and Wings in the inside of the card. I realized that many of my cards is a bit heavy for a single stamp sending. So try to keep in under those 50 g that you can send with one stamp. :)

Ok then, as I have a bunch of Christmas cards made I think I'll make a mini series with a few of them. So have a look out for my Christmas Cheer series. :)

Love n hugs

Wedding card

Morning and hello! Another card I made this year for no dt. I think I am up to two of these now. LoL. I wonder were all time goes. I used to have so much time for card making and writing to my friends. Oh well at least I have something to write about when I finally write these days. It is so worth having a job to go to and have a "normal" life again.

This card was made for my cousin and his wife and as I had forgot to take photos of it before we went to Hässleholm where the wedding took place the photo isn't that good. I had really fun making this card even if I had no colouring done this time, or may be it was fun because of it. So much easier. I spent quite some time with my die cutting mashine for this card and I think that I have used dies from Magnolia, Sweden only and in all different kinds. Some are border dies some flowers dies and the letters are a Tim Holtz die. The dp's is a mix of papers from Pion Design and some scraps I had laying that fitted perfect in colours.

I have used tons of broze/golden wax on the flowers and on the label die. The lace with the roses is from Wild Orchid Crafts I think and the pearl string is from Rox stamps.

I like the design of this card a lot so I have actually made yet another two with fairly much the same design. I will show them during the week. One being a thank you card and the other for a birthday...

Take care and I talk to you soon again. Do something that makes you happy!

Just a little more of that Christmas thing

Hello and good evening! I am normally writing my post in the morning but I do it back wards this time. I have a sugar nellie card to show today and since I will be sending it away really soon I thought I blog it before it find a new owner.

It's a DT call over at the sugar bowl, may be I should add my card there as it's one of my favorite stamp companies. I started off with their images when I began to blog my cards 5 years ago. Well, maybe I will, may be I won't take part. Have not decided yet...

But I can at least talk about my card, right? I have had this image coloured for a while now and it's done with distress inks and markers for a change. I normally go with my Letraset gang. And even if I have tons of Christmas papers to use for my cards I was in the mood for something else. So a big jump right into my box of left over cardstock. You know the bits and bobs that get left behind but now thrown away. That's what my card is made of this time. I used a few embossing plates to make the whole thing a bit more interesting.

Sorry about the photo, it's really dark and I don't have those fancy cameras or light to take a good picture. This had to do. :)

I have used a Marianne die for the "design circle" and the other stitched one is from MFT dies I think. Love that one too. The flowers is made with the die that came with the fancy circle and another Marianne design die. I have only added a few pearls in the middle of the flowers and ribbon for decoration. I a have also used a die from ROX stamps that says Merry Christmas in Swedish and that finish my card off.

Ok, better get to bed now as it's quite late and I have school tomorrow as well. Slowly getting closer to the end. WooHoo! Just a month and a half left now. Got expanded with one month but I can live with that.

Anyway, love n hugs
Marie

A forgotten card

Happy Swedish National day! To the rest of you happy Friday. Taking a few minutes to write a few words and post a card before a long day at the soccer fields starts. For now the sun is shining, just hope it will do it for the rest of the day as it's the final day of soccer school tonight as well. Would be nice if it wasn't so wet then. :) It started with rain the other day, ok yesterday and for Willy's game starting in an hour and a half there is some sunshine. Please stay that way!

I found a card laying around in the computer and I don't think I have shown this one before, if I have I appologize. This card was once again made for a friend of my kids. I have used one of my favourite boy images from the Paper Shelter for this card and it's called Extreme.

He is coloured with my normal Letraset markers and paired up with some designer papers from Echo Park which is perfect for boy's cards. I'm sorry that the photo is such strange one, but the card is long gone. I will see if we can fix it later on.

The only decorations is a few Card Candies in brown. Some foam letters to spell the name of the kid and his age. Nice and easy, just as a card for a boy should be in my opinion.

Ok my friends, it's time to leave for the first hours at the soccer fields and then we get home for a while to rest before we start over again. LoL

Love n hugs
Marie

Monday again

Good afternoon everyone, Marie here. Really tired and in pain. The weather is really wet and moist. Doesn't help at all. Better days will come I hope.

Today is the day when a new challenge goes up over at the Crafty Card Makers blog and the theme for this period is "Holiday". We want to see how you feel about it and what is holiday for you.

For me holiday is relaxation, bright colors, the beach and reading a whole bunch of good books. Maybe even sitt out on the terrass doing some cross stitching. A time without no "musts".

For my card I have used a Bildmålarna image from 2011 and colored it with distress inks for a change. The designer papers are from Echo Park and the pad is called Parardise Beach. Such perfect match! For decoration I have used a couple of my big buch of charms, some flowers from my really old stash together with some brads. Pearls and ribbons is also used to pop things up a bit.

Sponsoring this challenge is Sir Stampalot. Please do drop by and see what fabby crafting goods they have to offer you all.

With wishes for a bit warmer summer time
Love n hugs
Marie

Vintage love

Hi there and welcome to a new week. This week is another one filled with meetings and other "fun" stuff but I get by. For a change feeling quite all right but tired. It might come with the time of the year or and that tiredness is a part of at least to of my illnesses. Just trying to live with it, and I will learn, some day. :)

This week we have a new challenge up for you all over at the Crafty Card Makers. With Valentine's day coming we thought it was nice to have some "vintage love" as our theme. How fun is that? I didn't thought that I would be able to cope with this challenge as it is not my style, but hey! I might change my mind. I love it when I get challenged and this really was. I had last week planed for making up some card for coming challenges but my youngest got sick again, so everything ended up being made in the last minute. At least all the cards and creations for this week is made.

Most of the time I colour my images with my dear markers from Letraset, but this time I switched over to my distress inks. I normally use them to colour my Magnolias, at least every now and then. It was a long time since last so it was fun. I have kind of drowned the card in decorations and embellishments, just because it was fun. Maybe the card is more vintage/shabby chick than vintage, I don't know. But this is how I interpreted the theme. At least the image is vintage. LoL Flowers that are distressed with vintage photo and some heavy gesso, pearl string, glass stamen, chees cloth, vail cloth, metal corner that I coloured white with gesso. You name it and you'll find it on this card.
Sponsors then. This week we are suppored by the lovely people over at DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS  and also by HOBBY ART. Check the challenge blog for more details.

Well, that should be it for today. Hope to see you spreading some love and come and join us over at the Crafty Card Makers challenge blog.

Love n hugs

Finally

How quick the time passes! Week two of the year of 2013 is already here and today launches our new challenge over at Crafty Card Makers. The theme is Fairytale! Create a  Fairytale scene. In other word you have to do a little masking rubber stamping or digitally. Something for you? I know, just pop on over to the challenge blog and enjoy the inspiration from my teamies!

I have made a little mix and match project for this challenge as I have so many stamps that has never seen ink,  even if digital images is my first love nowdays I keep buying more and more rubber stamps and they are many now. Time to get them out to work again or for the first time in this case. I have used one of Magnolia's castles together with "Training my Dragon" from the digital company The Paper Shelter. It's all coloured with my Letraset family.I have also used designer papers and dies from Magnolia to make my card. Some small details added with Liquid pearls from Rangers and glitter glue of course, you can't make a fairytale without that.

We are delighted to be sponsored for this challenge by

We are kindly sponsored for this challenge by The Stampman (and Lady of course!) who are ofering the winner a £10 voucher for their store, you can spend this online, in the shop or if you're lucky enough to see them at a show!  They have a ton of items in store, enough to tickle any crafty tastebud.

$10 GIFT VOUCHER

* Please remember to check the rules and make sure you follow the criteria, sadly we are seeing more and more people who are not following the challenge theme. In fairness to those people who do follow the theme, and to our sponsors, in future such entries will be deleted. Please also remember to mention Crafty Cardmakers in your blog post. Mr. Linky is set to block anyone that doesn't link back to Crafty Cardmakers in their post, so if you have problems please check first that you have linked correctly. *

Now time to write up tomorrow's posting and then off to bed with both a messed up head and back pain. Don't spend more than 6 hours in a ice rink watching indoor soccer if you are not prepared for some back pain. I wasn't, but I also had a good work out at the gym before and that just might have something to do with it. And no, it's not a spelling mistake, they do play soccer in the rink once every year, with some kind of carpet on it. So much fun to watch and my youngest is now an expert on what uniforms each team has and the rules, he turns 5 in a few months and has gone totally nuts about all kind of sports especially soccer and ice hockey.

See you tomorrow again when a new Bearly Mine Challenge is going up.

Love n hugs
Marie
