Just made it!

Strange day today. Feels like I've got tons done and at the same time absolutly nothing. I have wanted to take part in the Passion for Promarkers challenge the whole week and I just managed to finish my card. The pic is a bit strange since it's dark around here now and my flash refuses to work... Oh well, hopefully you can see what it is at least. Thought I post it in the LOTV challenge as well with the theme of Button it! The theme over at PFP is Planes, trains and automobiles!
So I have used one of my dear LOTV images together with some DP from Basic grey that is perfect for transport cards. For embellishments, just a few die cut stars and a few buttons.

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Good afternoon!

It's stinking hot here today, about 30 degrees celsius. A tiny bit too hot for me, but hey, better than rain. Like it was during the weekend. It rained so much that I decided to give away my cards to the cat shelter for them to sell later on. Felt good doing that. :) And I didn't become sick of the weather either. A win win situation.

So this week over at PFP the theme is animal crackers and the sketch is from Paper Take Weekly. A nice and lovely combo. For my card I have used one of my faves from the Paper Shelter. To add some dimension I have coloured the yarn twice and poped it up. Wanted a Yarn look a like and used the circle element in the sketch for that, and distressed the white to fit in more properly to the colours of my card.

Happy Sunday!

It's strange winds here in Kalmar today. If I didn't knew better I would say it's fall outside, without the rain. Are soon going to a birthday party but I thought I would share this card with you first. Over at PFP this week has Michelle created a really lovely sketch for us to follow. A really great one, just hope I haven't stretched it too far.

I have had this image coloured up for quite a while now but never got around to use it for a card, I actually think that it was supposed to be for another PFP challenge that I never got around to finish. My joints is really playing games with me this year and more than seldom I have to let things be.

Oh well, happy days today as I have finished the card with a bunch of BG papers and a piece of filmstrip from T H as the only decoration, and instead of Michelles lace part of the sketch. :) Didn't really fit my image, to use lace I mean. I would also like to enter this one into the challenge of "Craft your days away" where the theme is summer time.

OK, we're off to the party. Take care!

A little card by MI

Evening everyone!
Just sitting here and thought I make a quick little note here on the blog. Have somehow manage to make a card that isn't for any of the design teams I'm on. It was quite a while since I did that so it feels really good. I always check out the challenge over at Passion for Promarkers when it's up, and every week I think this one I must do. And then there is not enough time. I did actually start this card last week when the theme was pink and yellow but never got around to finish the card. Didn't get any further than colouring the image. LoL Well a good start.

So this weeks theme then, make your own embellishments. That I have done with a die from Spellbinders, create a flower. I thought that shape looks a bit like an umbrella that have been out in a very windy rain and turned the whole thing the wrong way. Then I thought it looked a little empty so I added a couple of pearl sticks that I made with a few of the million pearls that is found around here and never get used. Also added some pearls from Bunny Zoe and a few dew drop from the local flower shop to give the thought of water drops. All the DP are from Basic Grey this time.

Hope you like the card. Oh, and I used the sketch from I love promarkers where I also will enter my card. I almost forgot. The sweet image is from Suger Nellie. Isn't he adorable?

Until next time, love n hugs

Passion for Promarkers, long time no seen...

Every single card I've made recently has been without any stampt images. This is the first image I've coloured in three weeks I think. Hard work to get back to it. :) The theme at Passion for Promarkers this week is "Make your own flowers". I have only made one and I hope that is enough? It's the big rose that is my creation. I made a couple more of them but it got too much on the card. To big and it looked silly. So I decided to combine a few prima flower to keep the rose company. I made the card for a neighbour how turned 50 this week. I've been taking care of their cats when they have been away on  holiday. DP are Basic Grey, flowers MI and prima, swirls from MD, pearls Bunny Zoe, alphas from TH die. And the image is from Whiff of Joy.

So this is all for now. I wish you all the best and have a great weekend!

Marie

Passion for promarkers - Sweet treat

A little card for a friend who celebrated her birthday a few days ago. And as the theme at PFP is Sweet treats, it's the perfect match! Henry Mouse from Whiff of Joy with a cake, colored with the promarkers pens. DP are from Basic grey and from Donna at Bearly Mine Design. Swedish lace from Magolia and some nesties from Spellbinders are also used. Strange how hard it can be to make a card when you have keep away from it for a little while...

Kind of in a hurry as it is time to pick up the boys again. The days goes so fast. Today I even have to cook and I hate it. Not my favourite thing to do that's for sure. My partner is away and learn how to program computer screens. Cooking is kind of his thing when he is home. :)

Take care and enjoy the rest of your day.

Friday Sketchers week 96

Happy Easter! Have been on tour today with all of my boys. They wanted to go by bus in to the city and so we did. Visited the "Golden M" as well, but I think that they rather would have gone to the toy store. More fun there. It's a real spring day here in Kalmar today, sun is shining and the wind is cold, but not as it was the other day.

I spent last night making a card for Friday Sketchers Challenge. This week's sketch is made by Tanja and it looks like this and it was really nice to work with. Thanks for that!

For my card I've used a Sarah Kay image that I don't remember the name of, but really cute of course. :)
She is coloured with distress inks from TH in different kind of blues. I've paired her up with Basic grays Wisteria Lane collection. Some blue pearl maker is used, as well as a few dew drops. Flower from Prima, and cherrie blossoms from Wild orchid Crafts and so is the hat pin. The leafy things is made with a die from Marianne Design. The cat charm is from Landstoken.se. Some stickles from Rangers in colour of platium as my fave card maker does them.

Well, Philip is really angry at the moment so I better go and see if I can make him a little happier. He fell a sleep on  the bus and didn't like that he has missed out of the ride. Two year olds, terrible two has gotten a new meaning with him...Luck for us he get older every day. - smile -

Happy Easter!

Marie

Just Magnolia

This week at Just Magnolia there is a sketch for us all to follow. For my card I've used one of the new stamps from "Hoppy Easter 2010". I believe it's called "open gate" or something like that. Anyway, I like it alot and I even think there is an Magnlia tree there. I used to work at a place that had a couple of those outside the building and I decided they look like that. - smile -

I also decided to use this image on it's own and coloured it with my promarkers. I used almost only the warm greys. To top it of and get the Magnolia look I used almond and putty on the flower. They are really pale and got even paler with my blender pen. :)

The sketch

So let see how the card looks then. DP is from Basic Grey, Wisteria Lane. Pearls are as most of the time from Bunny Zoe.

It's getting a little late again and I've got an early morning tomorrow. New week, new challenges at the hospital. Looking forward to the work outs, and not! I want surgery for my right knee but the doctors don't agree. Have to try to make it stronger first and if that doesn't work then hopefully surgery. Long process I guess to get there.

A good night to you all!

Hugs,
Marie
