Just Magnolia Challenge Flowers and hearts

Over at Just Magnolia this week the challenge is "Hearts and Flowers" as the sponsor is Wild Orchid Crafts. The best and cheepest roses around. :) For my card this week I borrowed a sketch from Cupcake Craft Challenge. It's about two weeks old. I never got the chance to play in that challenge as time ran out but I loved the sketch and now I got a good reason to use it. It's wonderful and I'm sure I'll use it again. :) Thanks to CCC for the sketch. :)

So my card then. Today it goes in blue, white, black and lilac. My DP are from Panduro, flowers from WOC, some retro punched flowers, rose leafs, black and white half pearls (from BunnyZoe), ribbon (from Panduro). My pearl rings are from "TiiMari" as well as the little lilac "sticks" and hearts. Tilda is coloured with promarkers this time.

OK, I'm off to take care of the boys again. M has gotten sick just like the rest of us has been earlier this week. How fun is that?

Have a good day!
Hugs,
Marie

A spoon full of sugar goes free style

Thought I would give this challenge a shot, A Spoon full of sugar. Had an extra card made when I was colouring my image for passion for promarkers. As it is freestyle everything goes. You find more info at the blog.

I used some deep sea blue green cardstock as a base (papermania's I think). DP from K & Co (the Daisy Pad) Full of spring yellows and greens needed a little energy boost from that as the snow is covering all of my little town, and it keeps coming more of it. The image is "Wings of hope" from Whimsy stamps. It's a digi image to support the victims in Haiti. The horse is coloured with promarkers. Added a little ribbon and a bow. Nothing more. The image is so big, (wonder why I did it that big? But sometimes it's just doing, no thinking and that's nice too). :)

This will be my last post for today. A personal record for me, four times! :) I really have not sleept well lately. Lots of time to colour images then. :)

Take care and hugs,
Marie

Papertake weekly challenge week 33

Hi you all!
This card is made for the Papertake weekly Challenge where the theme is a sketch for us all to follow.

The sketch

My card is made with a down load called "pocket full of posies" another DCWV down load found at 300 dpi. The pink rectangle is from another down load called "Rosy Checks" from Pickleberrypop. The colour of the paper reminded me of blueberries with milk like my grandma used to give me when I was a little kid. :) And that just had to be there as well with all those lovely berries in Tildas basket.

I've used some card candy from Cardcrafts, roses and leafs from Wildorchid crafts. My stamps are both from Magnolia, and blueberry Tilda is coloured with distress inks. Some half pearls are also added to the flower bunches. :) The sentiment says a simple "Happy birthday" in Swedish.

Have lovely evening everyone!

Hugs,

Marie

Passion for Promarkers week 36

This week at Passion for Promarkers the challenge is pastel green and blossom. Kind of 80's isn't it? :)

I chose to use an image from Mo's digital pencil. I love this little one called "Patience". Of course it's coloured with the promarkers (I'm so glad that I got the green pen in time)!

I have also coloured in the card stock as there was no matching colours in my stash. I've used a border punch from Fiskars as well as DP from 300 dpi, the digital shop of DCWV. This down load is called "Sweet". Very practical to be able to down load there DP as well. I like that. Good to be able to resize every now and then. Half pearls are used in the corners.

Time to read some stories for the boys before they trash the whole house. They are feeling so much better today than yesterday when they hardly didn't move. Lots of illnesses going around at the daycare centre at the moment.

Have a good day and hugs,
Marie

Friday sketchers week 86

A litte card for the Friday Sketchers challenge. Never thought I would get it on the blog in time. Sick kids again. What's wrong with this winter? Kids are sick all the time. I'm so tired of it. Lucky for me I have my card making. Something to brighten the day with, well in my case, the night. Mainly do my cards then. Sleep way to little. Hate the new pills!

The sketch looks likes this:

My cards then, kind of bright in colours. Papers are from a down load from 300 dpi (DCWV). It's called "Sweet", image is from Magnolia just as the sentiment meaning "Happy Birthday" in Swedish. Coloured with distress inks, and a few buttons for decoration. Half pearls in the corners and that's it.

Have a good day!

Sketch challenge at Just Magnolia

Over at Just Magnolia this week the theme is a sketch made by Jay Jay. It looks like this and it's great fun to work with it. Thank you for that Jay Jay!

Here is my card! DP from the "Blue Berry hill collection", flowers from WildOrchid Craft and Prima. Cotton candy and frosted lace stickles added to the flowers, a couple of ribbons. Tilda from Yummy for your tummy collection and I'm done! Tilda is coloured with distress inks from TH.

A worldrecord for me, 5 cards and challenges the same week! I am amazed. :) At the cat shelter which burned down some weeks ago, they have manage to catch another surviver the last couple of days. She eats like crazy now. Guess I would too if I hadn't got a proper meal in three weeks. :)

Take care everyone and hugs,
Marie

Whiff of joy GDT call

Totally unlike me, I give this with a guest designer call a try. It's a challenge in a big way. But fun at least. Used one of the wonderful stamps from last years autumn kit. I love the grapes in her hair. :) The image is coloured with distress ink refills. DP are from K & Co if I remember right. I've used so roses from Wild Orchid crafts, the celebration stamps from an extra "bits and bob's kit". Lace from my grandmothers, some white half pearls and some rose leafs as well. Stickles (frosted lace) on the flowers.

Read this info and you'll  find more of it at the blog Stamping with Whiff of Joy

And so, here comes the card finally. It has not even dried yet. I don't have the time to wait till morning so it has to be like this for now. Thanks for looking! (Sorry for the really bad photo, taken in the laundry room, best light in the house, ehh?)

Have a good evening and hugs,
Marie

Passion for Promarkers and Papertake Weekly

Hi you all!
Another card from me this week! I tend to keep myself busy making cards this week, don't I? :) Wonderful feeling! This time I've done a card all in pink as that is the theme at Papertake weekly.  Passion for Promarkers  has any colours and the theme "girls, girls, girls". So this was two challenges easy to put together to one. It's a quite simple card but I didn't think that it need more decorations with all the images on it. I used a bunch of Magnolia's Tilda images to make the card and of course coloured with my promarkers. DP are from Pinkpretticoat by the way. I'm also of from my comfort zone here doing tall card instead of a square one. Hope you like it!

Have a good day everyone!

Take care and hugs,
Marie

The DP are a down load from Pickelberry Pop called "Delicate Bloom". Soft and nice colours in beige and green. Have used a Primaflower, reprint flower, Spacer from Bunny Zoe and the bloom charms are from her as well. Chain Panduro and some card candy from Card craft. The images are painted with distress inks. This is about it.

My card

Thank you challenge at Just Magnolia this week

Hi there! Have managed to make a second card this week and it's for the Just Magnolia challenge. The theme is "Thank you".  Follow the link and you'll find out more about this challenge. I don't know how many times I coloured this Tilda in with the distress inks before I gave up and took the promaker pens instead. Twice Tage made sure that I had foot print on the image. A very helpful cat. Another two times W help out and gave it all a very mystic feel with tons of distress inks all over. I'm glad that it as just the image. They sure did have fun. I am really sure that Tage did it on purpose. A joking cat, is there a "thing" like that?

My card goes all in a shabby chick theme this time. Lots of pink, blue and green. Not as bad as it sounds, that what I'm hoping for at least. I really don't remember from which collection this Tilda came from, last summer I guess. The sentiment stamp is from Whiff of Joy. My DP for this week is a down load from "Pickelberry pop" called "Rosy cheeks". Really lovely papers! :) I've also used some Prima flower, roses from WOC, a heart from a local store, half pearls, a boss cut swirly corner and a piece of ribbon.

I'm sorry about the crappy photo. It's raining and is very dull and grey here today. Not a good photo weather for cards today. I hope you all have a good day. It's time for me to pick up the kids at kindergarten. Time do fly by! LoL

Take care and hugs,
Marie

Passion for promarkers challenge 34 colour challenge

Still winter weather around me. It's snowing once again. So it's all grey outside today. Had to take my picture inside today. Kind of crappy but the best for today.

I'm so happy that since last week four more cats has been found alive at the cat shelter. Sad news is that one of the younger ones got eaten by the fox. :( 11 cats are still missing. But 38 have survived! They still find new foot prints around the shelter so hopefully they can catch one or two more of the cats. Sometimes snow is good! You can see if the cats has been there. When I write this my "little" Hasse is cuddling with me. He loves it when I sit in front of the computer screen. Strange how a big cat like him can suddenly get so small, he thinks. :)

Well, PfP challenge this week is a colour one; cool aqua and cocoa. Wonderful colours! Find out more here
For my card I used Edwin from the last Magnolia club kit, some star gemstones, the DP are a down load called "Back pocket" from A cherry on top. Lovely colours for a boy's a card. Warm and cosy. I've poped some stars up and the the middle piece where Edwin is sitting for some dimension. Great challenge! I know look forward to next week's! Which is only a day away!

Well, time for me to write a letter or two. Kind of behind when it comes to that. Spent the whole last week cleaning out the basement. I (almost) have a tidy crafting room now. Way much better now at least!

Take care and hugs for everyone,
Marie

Magnolia Special Monthly Challenge

This week at Just Magnolia you learn how to paper pleat. It's a special Monthly challenge. Follow the link to find out more about it. You also find Minas tutorial there if you don't know how to do the paper pleating. Not really my thing but I know what went wrong with this one for me. My strips of paper are to thin, should have added a few centimetres on them. But hey, you learn from the not so good stuff. :) So I might even give it another try. :)

On my card I've used Pasta Chef Edwin and Magnolias own paper, the sentiment stamp What's cooking, a few buttons and embrodery thread from DMC and that's all. Not a very complicated card at all.

At the burned down cat shelter that I support they have got the hold of three more cats. They are all doing well and now there is 12 left that isn't counted for. I sooo hope that a few more of the cats will survive and come back to the shelter. It's now 10 days since it burned down. Still in some kind of chock I guess. But happy for every cat that finds their way back to "Kompis".

Take care and hugs for everyone,
Marie

Passion for promarkers challenge 33 sketch and a theme

Hello everyone in the winterworld!
Finally some time for a little blogging and a challenge. I've been totally off the last week as the cat shelter I support burnt down completly. It's so hard to believe that everything is gone. Most of the cats have made it as it seems. Hurray! 14 out of 50 are still missing and no one know if they are alive or dead. The shelter is found in the contry and are surrounded by a forrest so hopefully a few more of the cats have survived there. Many ran out there when the fire started. Keep your fingers crossed for the brave and strong people who are still out there looking for the lost cats. I am happy that so many cats made it and that it will all be rebuilt again. This time a little smaller than before. Think that is a good decition as it is really hard work. So now we're going to be a support home for the cat shelter. A little earlier than we had planed for but some things you don't decide on your own. I kind of thought my boys where too young for that, but it was OK with the cat shelter. They said that it gave them cats that can go anywere if they have already been around young kids.

The challenge this week at Passion for Promarkers are a sketch and a theme, "with love". Follow the link to learn more about it. The sketch looks like this.

Well my card then. A Magnolia stamp "Tilda with cat" (of course what else at this moment?) A heart attatched with a brad, some flowers from Prima and the roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, card candy from craftwork cards, downloaded papers from Pinkpretticoat and the dotty one from another download, can just don't remember were at the moment. I do know that I slightly changed the colour on that one. :) And of course the picture is coloured with the promarkers. Some pearl strings as well are added. I love this sketch. Have already used it three times, and I'll probably use it again. Thanks so much for it! :)

This would be it for today. I'm going down to my basement to do some cross stitching and relax infront of the fire again. It's cold here as well. :)

Take care and hugs for you all,
Marie
