Use that ribbon!

Morning everyone! I for sure hope that you all are feeling way better than I am. Forth week with a cold or maybe allergy. Doctor is not sure so for now treating the cough with allergy medicin but it will take a bit longer before I know if it helps or not. But I am tired, really tired and think that I might have pneumonia instead as it's so heavy to breath. Think I will go back to the doc really soon even if I am tired of going there.

Ok now to something more fun! Cardmaking! It's Wednesday and we have a new challenge up for you over at the Paper Shelter today. This week our theme is "USE THAT RIBBON!". I bet it's not only me who have loads and loads of them laying around.

As always there has been a lot of boy's birthdays parties lately so I made this simple card for one of Philip's friends. I have made it with one of my favourite images from the Paper Shelter, it's the ice cream boy from the Happy Times set. They are super cute and really fun to colour and best of all, the kids loves them. This little kiddo is coloured with my normal Letraset markers and paired up with some fabby designer papers from Echo Park. I love to use that brand for guy's cards. Bright and cheerful!

Now I do have a ribbon on my card but most of it is covered up. It's a black saddlestitched ribbon from the Ribbon girls. I was in no mood to tie a bow or anything like that. I had planned to add a charm made of shrink plastic but as I ran out of energy, plain it is. At least I had the inside decorated as well but that's for our eyes only. :)

As always when we talk about the Paper Shelter we have a gift voucher up for grabs. It's worth $30 if you play with a Paper Shelter product. Playing with another brand in our challenge gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice.

Before I end this post I will say a big thank you for top three spot with my last Easter card and as well for the honorary mention the same card got. I am very grateful and wish I had more time to play in all the challenges out there. I do enjoy it a lot but the school and me not feeling very well, ever as it seems makes it hard to keep up. Anyway, thanks once again.

Sketchie time

Morning everyone! Can you believe that we are already in the last part of April? Hasn't this year passed by quickly? I had Christmas just the other day... LoL

It's time for a new challenge from Team 1 over at Passion for Promarkers. And this time it's sketchie time. How fun is that? It's a nice and easy one too. You can have a lot of fun with this one.
As always I have a lot of cards to make for boys. There is always guys that needs a birthday card around here with two young kids going to their friends celebrating their birthdays. So this card is made for a kid in my oldest son's class. He has a new found love in, yepp you guest it! Football! How fun! I have only made 10 - 15 soccer cards the last year, and he was about to be the only one not into that sport... What went wrong? LoL Just kidding, I love it that they love their game.

Sorry, the photo is a bit messy. Was a real rush to get it done and delivered. A few weeks behind after all illnesses we have had around the house lately.

I coloured this little fellow from Crafters Companion in our local team colours which is black and yellow. But since I thought it would be too dark with black with tiny yellow details I went with the spare shirt of the team. Designer's freedom you know. I paired this image up with an older Magnolia stamp that has a football goal and audience on it. I place that in the center of the sketch circle and then used the footballer as a focal point. Designer papers are a digi down load from Echo park. I love that I get their papers digital too and I love the vibrant colours they use. Perfect for little boys. These are from to packs, one is called Mini theme Goal and the other is from Hello Summer (cloudy paper).

I used a die from CC Design to cut some grass and used an "8" as my decorations to this card. I have matched the inside of the card with the outside but personal writing in there so you just have to belive me. Anyway, I always love a good sketch challenge even if I have not gone with the same sized card as the sketch, I really loved working with this one.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset who is offering a 6-pack of Flexmarkers to one lucky winner. How nice is that? I could really use a few new ones.

Ok this is it from me for today. I hope you'll come and join us on this lovely challenge.

Spring is here!

Morning and welcome to my little post today! We have a new challenge up for you over at the Paper Shelter today and our theme is "Spring is here". So this week something with spring feelings to it. Like soft pastel colours, Easter images, flower images. You know that light feeling you get when spring arrives, well many get it but I don't as for me it's the starting point of the thunder season. I even called the doctor a few weeks back, and they sounded a bit well confused and said that thunder season had not started yet, and then they thought I just wanted to get help well a head. The day after the thunder struck about everwhere in the South part of Sweden. Considering that, I was actually late booking my appointment with the Doc. I still have a week before I get to see her about this. I do hope she has some brilliant idea to help me out with this. I'll do anything except watch and listen to the thunder. Chills runing throw my back just thinking about it...

Ok, you might say: Hey didn't you show that card for your last TPS challenge? Well, not really but almost. I got this card started and wanted to replace the first one with this, but I got sick and didn't find the time to finish it. But here it is! I do love these cute rabbits and for some strange reason I love making Easter cards. Having a hard time understanding that since we do nothing during this celebration. Well. this time we will spend a day at the football / soccer field as Willy has his first out door tournament of the year on Sunday. Hope the weather will be nice and sunny.

So the image once again is called Little Easter Bunnies and they are coloured up with my Letraset Markers. This time as well I have used the First Edition pad called Spring Drop. Nice and a good spring feeling to it. This is actually the left overs from the other card. LoL A little less in the cut up collection to use later on = never. No sentiment on this card and some spring flowers instead. The daffodils came from a blogging friend of mine, Annelie. Check out her stunning work here. An old ribbon, probably bought on some sale somewhere on line gave a little balance to the card. Also some sweet lovely yellow pearls has been put to use here. To finish off you always need some butterflies. I think this is my forth card in a row with these little creatures on. Oh well, you can never have too many butterflies around.

So sentimental

Hi and hello everyone! I am back with a new little creation to show you all today. It's the Team 1's turn over at Passion for Promarkers to bring you some inspiration. And this weeks theme is set to "So sentimental" (add a sentiment to your creation).

A few weeks back I saw to wonderful sets of stams from Sheena Douglass made up with wonderful butterflies. I got the first one I ordered the early last week. And they are really lovely IRL as well, but VERY big. My cards are not so big so a bit of rethinking when it came to this card. At least the sentiment is the focal point. LoL

Anyway, I used my butterfly dies once again and coloured the back drop in with my Letraset markers. This time I let my pink collection work. I used some designer papers from Panduro's Tilda range from last spring called Country Escape. I always fall in love with the papers and then I find them really hard to use as the patterns are fairly big and quite bold most of the time. I really need to learn this, I love them for the moment and then, well....

I used a big lovely spellbinder die for the sentiment and it was just about to get it in the frame. It's stamped with some archival ink in some kind of brow. I took some flowers from my pink box, added a little bunch of white flowers too and some gesso on top of the strongers coloured pinks as well. Then added some glitter on top of that before the paint had dried. Gives a nice shabby look when dried. A few pearl strings and a few butterflies made with an MS punch gives the final touches to this card. Not much of colouring I know but sometimes things doesn't turn out like expected.

Sponsors, we have sponsors to this challenge as well. Let's see who it can be this time?
Whiff of Joy is sponsoring us with a stamp and  Angel craft is sponsoring  with a goodie bag.

At least we are all on our feet now, only me with a sore throat so hopefully we will heal here now. It has been four hard weeks with flu, colds and tummy flu on top of that. I think I need to start my grateful thoughts again, it really could be a lot worse than colds and things like that. And I have not had as much pain in my joints the last months. You see there is always something to be grateful about.

Until next time

Love n hugs

Buttons

Morning everone! Hope you woke up to a lovely sunny day. Spring is here in Sweden that's for sure. Cold nights and a lot warmer days. And with that comes all the "fun" illnesses. I think we're on our third week of being sick here now. From colds to tummy flu. How fun is this? Not at all... Luckly it started before Philip's birthday party during the weekend so that we could cancel in time. We try having it next Saturday instead.

We have a new challenge up for you over at The Paper Shelter as well today. And this is the first challenge with my new team. So a warm welcome to Vannessa, Nikki A, Colette and Carolyn. I am so glad to have you on board. On the other had it's a sad good bye to Merkari who is the last of my four gals to leave. It has been wonderful having you on my team. Will really miss you!

We are starting our new team off fairly simple and goe with the theme of Buttons. Do you know what? This is the first challenge theme we ever had over at the Paper Shelter. And since I have a really big box filled with buttons I thought it would be nice to pick that theme up again.

I kind of messed my card up this week. I knew I shouldn't have used the liquid pearls as I always mess with it. LoL But since the rest of the family has gotten the tummy flu I don't have the time to remake it. I have used the new sweet little Easter Bunnies from the Paper Shelter of course and coloured with my Letraset markers. The designer papers are from First Edition Spring Drop or something like that. Flowers from I am Roses with a little addition make with a Doo Hickey die. My flower buttons have I no clue at all where I have gotten them from. The little ball ribbon is from The Ribbon girls I think. Butterflies are made with a MS punch. The mess is made with liquid pearls...
