Layers and lots of them

Moring and hello! What a wonderful day it is! Well, the day itself might not be that good. Actually I am in so much pain but I feel happy! I have finally managed to put down the final words in my class and hope that I am all done with that now. Just need to get it in and get the aprovement of it. Almost 14 months of studies are all over and done with! Such a great day. Now I can start taking care of my pain for real. It might even losen up a bit now when I don't have that much to worry about at the moment.

It's time for the B-team to inspire you all to some crafting fun this week and we are doing an easy B-team challenge once again, just because we love it when you come and play with us. The theme set for the week is "layers, and lots of them" (at least three (3) paper layers).

Well, writing the final stuff after having my mum working as my secretary during the day yesterday, I totally forgot to take a photo of my card, so that will be up later if I not manage to get it up here in time.

I have big trouble with my fingers most of all at the moment and therefore I picked an image where I didn't have to colour as much. Well, tried to colour but I was shaking so badly that it was not an option. Kind of scary. Anyway, I managed to get the Pastry chef coloured and one of his cakes. Then I used the latest sketch from my teamie over at PFP once again. I so love my round shapes, my dies that is, not my round shapes. LoL

I used an old Tatty Teddy pad that I happen to one more pack of. What on earth am I thinking of? I can never used up two pads looking the same if they are not Maja design or something really bright and cheerful with basic shapes like the dps from American Crafts that is so hard to get here in Sweden. I have only used a yellow and white ribbon from a scrapbook kit that I bought ages ago and some letter stickers from Panduro to decorate this card. Another Swedish sentiment saying Hip Hip Hurrah. Almost the same in swedish.

As always we have a gift voucher worth $30 up for grabs if you play with any TPS product. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three (3) digis of your choice. Come on now crafters we know that you love these images and we would really like to see a few more of the Paper Shelter images.

Well, this is me trying to keep it sweet and short. Do come and play with us and take the chance of winning a bunch a great images that is sure to give you some colouring fun. See you over at the Paper Shelter challenges.

One designer paper only

Morning everyone! Just a quick drop by to tell that our new theme over at the Winter Wonderland is "one designer paper only". That meas you can only use one dp, but there are cardstock to use, embossing, etc. I will continue writing this post a little later on as my pain is really horrible at the moment but I still wanted you do see that we're up and going with our challenge and I even managed to finish my card with a little help from my kids. :)

The prize is a choice of 2 digi images. And here's a little bit of info about our sponsor.

Hi I am Wendy Burns I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children who have been the inspiration behind the characters,  in particular my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with blogging and trends.  I work predominantly within the textile children’s wear market, fashion and interiors.
I trained as a textile designer and although my work is digital based, I love to retain that hand drawn /sewn feel which I hope comes across in my artwork.
Digital stamps is a new challenge for me and the opportunity to work with the All Dressed Up Team and has been very exciting, in particular the creative way my characters have been given individual personalities by the designers .
All Dressed Up is a newly launched blog with an enthusiastic team who are passionate about stamping.  The coordinators Marilyn and Tracy along with an amazing design team are also known as The Dressy Girls.
We have a friendly Facebook page, regular blog posts, tutorials, challenges and freebies .The stamps can be purchased from the Etsy shop which is updated on a monthly basis.

We really are friendly bunch and would love to see your creations so please feel free to contact us and visit the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog.

This is yet another card made with left over pieces from my scrap boxes. So many papers so little time. :) Well, and when we have challenges like this I get the chance to use up some of the bigger pieces which is nice to. This one comes from Maja design and I think that it is from the collection called Sofiero. I have used a few die cut corners from white cardstock, a bird die cut that I think I got from dies to die from when I bougth something there. There is also a very thin piece of lace that I got from Gail my blogging buddy in the USA. A mix of flowers from different companies. Some of it is covered with lose glitter. Well, I guess when you want only a little to stick, be prepared that most of it will stay on and the other way around. LoL Anyway, I am really glad that I managed to finish the card and get it up here as I am in so much pain that I don't really know what to do. It's hard not to use my hands as al my hobbies involves using them. Giving the new med a few more days, and I will hopefully be feeling a bit better and I might even give the hands enought rest to let them heal. I only need to find a bunch of good movies I guess and then stand down. Lucky for me there is still a few games of handball left to watch in the world Cup.

Thanks to mum for helping my typ both my school work and my blogposts this week. I didn't know that it was so good to have my own secretary. LoL

Anything goes with a sentiment

Hello there and welcome back to my corner of the world. I have a few post this week and that's really nice except that I am playing catch up all the time. I have not been able to create before and now I am kind of doing it against my bodys will and doctors too. Well, a gal got to do what a gal got to do, right? I need to so something to forget that I have so much pain in my fingers and where else it's hurting, like my neck, my back and on it goes. At least I got a new key board and it's nicer to my vrists than the other was, but my fingers ain't as happy. Strange that I who is right handed has more trouble with my left hand. Feels a bit strange, but most of my pain is on the left side at the moment except for my right foot and knee.
Ok, now I got that off my chest and we can move forward to more fun things, can't we? :) This is the second week of our Anything goes with a sentiment challenge over at Aud Sentiments. We're also having a DT-call if your interested. Sponsoring us this week is Sassy Studio and I have used the image called Jessie Cowgirl. Many in the team have used her so you will be getting lots of inspiration with that image.

Well, I have been doing some digging once again in my old designer papers and managed to use some of the up once again. This pack is from My Mind's eye and is from my first year as a scrapper/cardmaker. I remember how much I loved these papers but found them hard to work with as the pattern is quite big. So most of the is still left and now I try to used up at least some of it. Once the energy kicks back I will have a good look at my stash and have a clean up and bring it to the boy's schools. There it get used and it's great to see. At the moment are they making little boxes that they put teeth in when the kids pins teeth which happens quite often when you're around 6-9 years old. :) It's wonderful to see my old stuff getting used and still looking good in a new shape. :)

Well, since my pain gives me quite a lot of trouble this time I made the image big and bold. I was shaking like crazy while I was colouring this but the endresult is totally ok in my book. My Letraset Markers is used for this. Then I dug into my flowers boxes and used some left overs from other projects as well. And my stunning black pearls from Bunny Zoes. The lace comes from my friend and teamie over at the Paper Shelter; Gail. Thanks! And the sentiment is stamped with a stamp from BildmÃ¥larna and says "Congratulations on your day!". Border punch from Fiskars is also used. One of my first ones and still looking good on the creations I make.

Well my friends, it's time to make another creation and get a little bit ahead if I can. Sounds impossible at the moment but at least I can give it a try, can't I? Until next time, take care and stay safe!

Love n hugs

New Beginnings

Morning and hello! Hope you're all ok and feels tons better than I do. At least the visit to the doctor yesterday went fine and I got confirmation that it's not only my fibromyalgia that is playing with me at the moment. The RA is also active and I had more swollen small joints than I thought. Happy face because I don't feel the pain in all of them. :) Well, have a new med to test but I will not get it until Wednesday, well tomorrow. The other day it felt like forever, but when I put it down like this, it aint too bad. I will spend at least another week at home and then I'll try to get back to school for the last week. WooHoo!

Well! Time has really flown by quickly and I have a new card for our New Beginning challenge over at Passion for Promarkers this week. It was a close call to finish the card this week, but I made it. :) (Read proud of myself). :) As there will be a few new babies in the family during the spring, my partners niece and nephew is expecting babies. One the first one and the second for the other pair. I have no clue if it will be boys or girls but I have my mind set on one of each. It feels like that. :)

I have used to images from Magnolia, both a little older ones. The background is one of my first Magnolias and the baby image has been used a million times. However I have never used them together for what I can remember but it looks ok for a spring baby doesn't it?

I used a paper pad that I got from my dear blogging friend Annelie for Christmas and it was just perfect for this image coloured like this. I always colour without looking at my dp's which sometimes is good others not so good at all. ;) Sometimes I get lucky, like this time. The pearls are from Bunny Zoe and the flowers are from I am Roses and WOC. Doily from I don't know where and the letters are from Panduro. Have tons of those that I need to use up before the sticky glue gets too old to use. I always believe that I have more time on my hand than I actually have and my plans to use the letter sticker from my boys scrapbooks never happens. May be one day?

Sponsoring this challenge is Digi stamp boutiqe with a voucher worth £10. Isn't that great as a prize? Really lovely I think!

Thanks for looking and I hope you come and join us over at PFP this week.

Dies and or punches

Hello! Hope you're having a great week, or at least better than mine. I do truly hate this weather, going from snow to rain, warm to cold. It's spring weather, well March weather and it's so painful for me at the moment. I did book that appointment with the doctor and it's only a few days left until I get to see her, but for now it feels like forever. Oh well, on Monday...

But first at least something that made me simle even if it has taken me forever to get this together. I have made a new card for my first challenge of the year over at the Paper Shelter. And do you know what? I have still managed to keep to my scrap box and used leftovers from other creations. These are a mix from Maja design papers.

I have used the most wonderful image called I miss you, but I used the version without the sentiment. This way I can use it for more things than just "missing someone". She is coloured with my promarkers and I must say I have become a bit lazy with my markers. I stick to a few ones that is easy to access and easy to bring to the sofa. It's the limited editions from 2013 and the skin colours. I need to find a way around this as I will run out of pink, green and blue scrap papers really fast this way. :)

I have used a whole bunch of cicle dies from different companies, some new and some old ones and a border punch from Martha Stewart. So both punches and dies are used here. I have added a few pearls, a pearl string, a doily, some pink left over ribbon, a charm, a thin lace on the top of the card and some rose ribbon as decorations. I hope you like the way the card came out and I also hope to see you come and play with us over at the Paper Shelter. You don't have to use one of our images but we love it when you so. You can enter up to three times but then one of your creations need to have any TPS product on it, either dps or image.

Things with wings

Hello and welcome back for my final post this week. It's time for a brand new challenge over at Winter Wonderland and we are still doing the non Christmas theme even if you can enter those too if your image fit the theme.

Theme of the week is "things with wings" and sponsoring this challenge is stamp and create. The prize  is really lovely and it's a voucher worth £20. So many great things can be bought with that so do come and join us this week.

I have used a fairly old TPS image for this challenge as I had the image coloured and ready to go how to speak. I am still struggling with my shoulder and hands. They are painful and a bit shaky at the moment. I think I really need to call the doctor now, don't I?

Oh well, it's for times like this you use your already coloured and prepared stuff, so a good thing has come out of it. I have coloured with my Letraset Markers and used old designer papers from Magnolia. I really really need to use up some old stuff and this was a good thing to do as I have used up scraps for my cards earlier this week as well.

I will try to retake this photo when we have some daylight later on today. It looks a bit strange like this...

I have also fussy cut some muchrooms that I have coloured with my markers today. The stam is from Bildmålarna and I bet this will come and handy on many cards. I will so miss this brand as they have made some really sweet stamps. A few flowers from I am Roses and some pearls from Bunny Zoe. An old ribbon that I also coloured with my markers and to finish it all of I used a charm that I also think comes from Bildmålarna or maybe ROX stamps. A doily from Panduro is also used.

Well, this is all. I hope you come and join us and don't forget you don't have to make Christmas cards just yet. Still some time to play around and make other cards.

Something new

Good morning and welcome back to me, yet another dt card to show off here. It's so good to be back in the normal game again even if it feels like my time is a bit limited at the moment. I have been bitten by the crochet bug once again and enjoy it alot. But I can't say it's good for my shoulders. I am trying hard not to spend too much time doing it.

Well, back to why we're here. The second week of our first challenge of the year over at AUD sentiments and the theme is "New". We want you to use a sentiment with new in it or you can use some new stash. Please don't forget that you ALWAYS have to have a sentiment on your card playing with us, after all the name of the challenge blog is AUD SENTIMENTS.

One of my favourite flowers is the poppy (other is tulips and amaryllis) and I really wanted to use this image for my card this time. However, it caused my big problems to get a matching sentiment with new to go with it. Everything sounded totally wrong, both in English and Swedish. I gave up and used "Congrats" in Swedish instead and used some new dies. The corner die from Joy! and the border die which is really big is bought from Joanna Sheen. It's lovely but huge! On the good side, you don't need to decorate much more using it. The image colours looks really bright but I didn't manage to tune it down before I posted it here. If I find the time I will try to do that later on.

The image is coloured with the special edition pack 2014 of markers from Letraset and then I took another dive into my scrapbox of designer papers. This is from a wedding collection from Authentic if I remember correctly. The sentiment stamp is a really old one from  Magnolia. A big card from me this time but really simple at the same time. With all the trouble I had getting it done I am so pleased with how it turned out in the end. So good to get something done that you have been struggling with for quite some time.

Picture

The image is from our sponsor this time and it's the lovely Kris from Imagine that who's our sponsor for yet another week. Thank you so much for the wonderful stamp of yours!

It's an anything goes

Morning and hello!
It's me again, tired but happy. Got home from Malmö late last night after having watched my favourite team in the world play, the National team of Sweden and the sport is handball! Since 1988 I have been dreaming of watching them live and finally I got the chance to do that. Sneak that I am, I gave the tickets to my boys as a Christmas gift and off we went. We lost by one goal but I have seen them play and it was such fun. It couldn't get better as the team we played against was Denmark, another one of favourite teams. They have amazing players too. Real fun and now I hope to see yet another game in April when they come to Växjö which is only about 100 km drive instead of 300.

But you are not here to listen to me talking about my sports again are you? I have a little announcement to make. Before Christmas I saw a little ad about a dt-call. It was Party Time Tuesday which was looking for new designers. Now we are so many and the challenges are always "Anything goes" so a nice and easy task for everyone. So I hope that you from time to time come and play with us. The challenge is monthly at this time.

This time I have yet another card for a boy and I have made something simular before but this is a new one, well actually I made two of them for my boys' friends. I have used and image from Crafters Companion called "Lets play football" and coloured it with my Letraset markers. I have also used a whole bunch of die cuts as I love the back drop in the shape of a soccer ball or football if your over in Europe as I am. :) The colour scheme use is the colours of my boys' team Lindsdal. And as the boys' has birthdays and parties to go to... well, I better be prepared.

To make the foot ball I have used Joanna Sheen's die for patch work the middle size I think it is, wish I had the bigger one. And then I spend quite some time die cutting left over / scrapps of black and white card stock. After that it's time to start to glue all the pieces together. This also take some time as it's no fun when the glue shows up in the edges of each piece. But it's so worth it all when it's done. Once it's all dry I use yet another die cut in a circlar shape to cut the ball out. Taadaa! A classic black and white soccer ball is born!

We have a sponsor for this challenge and that is Spectrum Noir and here is a little info about them.

Spectrum Noir is a range of professional coloring tools. The range includes alcohol markers, blendable colored pencils, inks and marker storage, and is perfect for crafters everywhere. There are a total of 168 alcohol-based, acid-free and fast-drying markers. There are 120 wax-based blendable pencils that are great for using on their own or combined with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. AquaTint inks are intense, concentrated liquid water paints.
And that's all from me for today. I hope to see you around and that you come and play with us over at PTT.

A new year and a new post

Good morning and welcome back to MI and a new crafty year. I wish you all the best for the new year and hope it brings you just what you wish for. I have taken all the time I could not to touch the computer the last few weeks because I wanted to give my shoulder a chance to heal. Well, it didn't help so, time to call the doc and see if she can help me out.

Even if it has been a time with lots of pain it has also been a lot of fun and that's good. Have spent quite a lot of time watching soccer! This time of the year is filled with indoor tournaments for the boys and it's a lot of fun to watch them play. And the coming weekend we'll be going and just watch a tournament without any of the kids playing. When I grew up I used to spend days watching this tournament and we're talking 25 - 30 hours in three days here. I still enjoy it, a lot even if I can't spend all that time watching it now.

Well, now the free days are all over and it's time to get back to normal again. And I can't think of a better way to start the New Year of 2015 off, than a challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. This week we have a sketch as our theme and it's a bit tricky but fun to work with. I think I need some bigger dies and a better die cutting machine and...

This is the fabby sketch. Told you it's a bit tricky but I am sure that you manage to figure something out. I do love the look of this sketch and have a few more ideas on how to use it. As I only have small circle dies my card became quite small but it's also a perfect fit for this little image that I have gotten from my co team leader from the Paper Shelter, Nannieflash. It's a BeBunni image from Crafters Companion. Isn't it cute? Thanks for the lovely stamp Shirley!

I used some scrap paper for this creation, I think they are from Bildmålarna and from Kaiserkraft if not misstaken. I used my old but favourite punch from Fiskars and a ribbon. Only a few little flowers from I am Roses and some letter stickers from Prima spelling out "Thank you" in Swedish. Thought the image was perfect for that. Now, my card looks a bit crocked, but it keeps rolling standing, so I left it like that. It's small and easy to send and I love that.

Well now, I hope you give this great sketch a go and join us over at PFP this week. Me and the rest of the team are all on stand by to come and see what you will do with this magical sketch. Don't forget to use Letraset products to be able to have a shot at the prize and the top spots!

Our sponsor of the week is Letraset with a Manga set of pens for one lucky winner. That's one good prize isn't it?
