A work in progress

About a month ago did my baby brother got his second kid, a little girl that I (we) still have to meet for the first time. Having colds all the time is not the best to have when you meet a tiny kid for the first time. Now I have finally managed to get a little card together for her, and one for her big brother. It was still in drying process when I took the picture. :) It has taken forever to put this card together. Still not very pleased with it,  I just don't know why it feels wrong!

I have used DP from Bearly Mine Design and paired them up with the über cute baby Tilda from Magnolia. As the theme over at Passion For Promarkers is Let it Shine. A few bling stones is used as well as Chrystal glitter from Rangers. A clear Spica pen is used on the wings. Flowers as usually from Wild Orchid Craft. I've used the sketch from Paper Take Weekly, and over at Just Magnolia hÄnglar StÄnglar the theme is "Going Dotty"
I sign off here as my back is really killing me and my hands is totally nuts by now. Hardly feel them, hope they are still here! :)

Friday Sketchers meets The Paper Shelter

Hi and hello! MI is back in blogging land! Today I have managed to get a card together for the Friday Sketchers challenge. Their sketchers are always so inspiring and get me some mojo back when it's on the run.

We have had a wonderful winterday here in Kalmar today with a few minus degrees and sunshine. I even took the kids for a walk. I have to pay for that later by taking pills that totally knocks me out but it was so good to be out for a while and enjoy the sunshine!

So the sketch looks like this and it's made by Jorunn. Isn't it great?
For this card I have used one of the sweet images from The Paper Shelter. It's one of the new digis in their shop. She is so sweet. Just had to use her. I have combine her with a sentiment from Lili Of the Valley. She is coloured with my copic markers this time. I dont have that many of those so it's much more easy to grab them and sit down infront of the TV to colour. And yes, I do most of my colouring there in the sofa while I'm listening to the TV. If I don't colour I write or cross stitch. Very seldom sitting down just to watch. Anyway, back to the card. I have used papers from Basic Grey, from the Kioshi pad 6*6. Have added a few bling stones from Prima and flowers and pearl heart from Wild Orchid Crafts. The ribbon used for the bow is also from WOC. I kind of skipped the rest of the ribbon and only used a bow. :)

Time to get ready for the Semi final in the handball's World Cup again. Sweden VC France. It will be an ugly game, just as always when we play them.

Take care for now and love n hugs
Marie

New week, new challenge over at For Fun

So a week goes by so quickly and it's already time for a new challenge over at For Fun Challenges. And this week we really have a challenge for you.

Make a box or something that holds card to give as a gift.

OK! What do you think? Is that a challenge or what? It can not be easy all the time. This one only gets as hard as you want it to. I decided to go with a simple box made with a little help from my Scoring pal. Others in the team has done other little boxes and bags to keep cards in. Be sure to check them all out. You find my lovely mates in the sidebar.

For this project I used cardstock from Bazzil in some kind of pink and the lovely digi download from Pink Pretticoat "wildrose". Really lovely papers and they went so well with my shabby look. I used a free download for the rose. I am very sad to say that I can't for the world remember where I found it. If someone knew, please let me know so I can give credit to this wonderful piece of art. I made three cards to be put in my box and they all look the same. The lid of the box is decorated with a big bunch of flowers from Wild Orchid Craft, some lace, pearl string, pearls, cardcandy and some other bits and bobs from my stash. Lots of fun building up that as I don't use that much flowers on my cards. They get so bulky and by that expensive to send out. But every now and then, like today.

So don't get put of by this challenge, give it a try and show us what you have done. We would love to see what you can come up with!

Love n hugs

Hi and hello!

I am back! Have finally managed to get a card together for a few challenges. The day has so many more hours when you don't sleep during the day. - smile - It helps even more when the kids are away at kindergarten. Being (quite) healthy again. Gives back a little more energy and now do I start to feel a little better from my flue as well. In other words just a little bit more happiness around the house at the moment.

This little cutie of an image is from LOTV and I've coloured with my promarkers. Such wonderful little friends they are, the markers I mean. The designer paper this time is from Papermania if I'm not totally lost. Love the colours here. I feel that I need a little spring time in my life. I am not a spring person, but it feels like we are running out of sun light around here at the moment. But the days are slowly getting longer and that's nice after this long winter. The sketch is from Dawny at LOTV, and to be fair it should be a sentiment right bottom as well, but it looked wrong of some reason so I left it out for now. Looked unbalanced, probably because I have not used any decorations on this card.

So now I leave you to go and watch a recorded (!!!) game from the world cup of Hand ball. Yes, I know record is nuts, but when they play at 18.00 there is now way with kids around that you can enjoy the game. So recorded it is. I wish I had been there. Love this game!

Challenges for this card:
Passion for Promarkers - All you need is love
LOTV - Sketch
I love Promarkers - K.I.S.S. (Keep it sweet and simple)

Take care now and love n hugs for you all.

Another Challenge for For Fun Challenges

Good Morning to you all! Hope you got a good nights sleep and are well rested and ready for a new challenge over at For Fun Challenges.

This week it's a nice and simple one: Make it glitter and sparkle. Add glitter, gems, stickles and other stuff that make your card glitter and sparkle. Come on you can do it! We would really love to see your creations over at For Fun Challenges so what are you waiting for?

This is my first time I have used a stamp from Nellie Snellen and she was a real treat to colour in. I've done that with my copic markers this time. The designer papers are Bearly Mine Designs. You find a link in my side bar. It does not show on my photo, but all the dark pink areas does also have a coat of a spica glitter pen over it and IRL it's very glittery and cute. I have also used a glitterborder in white around the rose paper, and some glamour dust on the tag. You can pull it out and it says Happy Birthday in Swedish. The tag is made with a die from Magnolia Sweden. Gemstones is from Anitas as well as the glitterborder.

Now I'm going to see the doctor and when I get back I hope you have left some lovely entries on the For Fun Challenge blog. I see you over there!

Love n hugs,
Marie

Our second challenge over at Bearly Mines!

Never thought that two weeks could pass so quickly. We are already on our second challenge over at Bearly Mine Challenges. I am sure you want to join us. This week we have a reciepe to follow:

1 IMAGE
2 DESIGNER PAPERS
3 FLOWERS

Not so hard is it? So please come and join us in our game. We have some fabby prices up for grabs this time as well. Our sponsors this week is Peach Keen Stamps that offer one winner a $ 30 gift certificate, The paper shelter of 3 digis of winners choice and our lovely Donna at Bearly Mine offer one lucky winner two digisets of winners choice. Well worth playing for isn't it?

My card is made with one of the lovely images from The Paper Shelter and the Bearly Mine papers I've used is from one of the newest sets called Cheeky Days. Love the colours in those papers. "Little Sylvie" from the Paper Shelter is coloured with my copics and promarker pens. The look a little washed out here on my blop. I need to have a talk to my printer about that. In other words, I must have done something with the settings. :) Flowers are all from Wild Orchid craft and so are the hear pins. Swirls are made with a Marianne Creatable. Brads from Papermania. The butterflies that are stamped is made with a tiny prima stamp. And the fabric butterfly comes from Altheas Mix. Have almost ran out of them by now. :(

With this I leave you for today. I will try to get a better picture of my card later on as soon as the weather is a tiny bit better. Then you'll see that it's a least a little bit brighter than this.  So I leave you now so you can head of to your crafting table and start making a lovely entry for our challenge this time. Take care and enjoy your crafting time!

A new challenge over at For Fun!

A whole week has passed since I last got a card up here! Shame on me! My boys are sick again and absolutly nothing gets done around here. I started making a card but it's so hard to put it together of some reason. Lucky for me this card for the new challenge over at For Fun Challenges was not that hard to get together. The new challenge for the week is a color challenge. You have to use the following colors:

BLACK OLIVE AND PURPLE

Nice and easy right? So get those images out and start to color. Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

So for my card have I used one of the lovely Manga girls from Sugernellies. A really sweetie. I've colored her with my promarkers. The designer papers are from Papermania and the black and green one (black and white from the beginning, I do love my markers!) is from Slöjddetaljer. I've also used some cardcraft candy in black and given them a little glitter with black stickles from rangers. The sentiment is also from Card craft. The stickle is also used in her hair to give a little sparkle to this cool gal. Ribbon is from stash.
Well this is MI signing off for today. I will go back to my crafting table and start watching the glue dry again and hopefully my mojo hits me while I'm doing that.

A big thank you to all of you who have become followers to my little space here on the net over the last week. I do appreaciate each and every one of you and will do my best to come and see you regular. See you in the loving land of blogging!

Love n hugs

Have enoug for a lifetime, but I would like more of these wonderful wooden once. :) Designer papers are from Bearly Mine design. These ones comes from the Designer Extreme III. The day has finally come!

Today we are launching the new challenge blog over at Bearly Mine Challenge. Great challenges, great sponsors and lots of inspiration for you all.

For the very first challenge we have these lovely sponsors. (The fabulous rubberstamp is offered as a price from Crafty Emma's store). Be sure to pay our sponsors a visit. You never know what you need. ;) So all in all we have three fabby prices up for this our first challenge that will go on for two weeks from now.

To start us of has Donna made us all a sketch to follow. Lots of fun to work with, so much fun that I actually made two cards for this challenge.

For my first card I used an image from Whiff of Joy, coloured it with distress inks and used a bunch of blue designer papers from the Extreme III CD that Donna is offering in her store. Lots of goodies there. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft. The key in the lower flower arrangement is from a local flower shop. I painted it with some crackle paint from Rangers. The swirl stamp is also from whiff of Joy, winter version. Half pearls from Bunny Zoes.Sorry about the strange colours in this photo. :(

For my second card I used a part of an image from Kenny K's, the face of "All that". She is coloured in grey tones with promarker pens. The designer papers are from one of Donnas new digi kits called Cheeky Day. I sooo love these colours! The bling comes from my stash.

So now it's your turn to pop over to the challenge blog and join us in the fun!

Take care!

Love n' hugs,
Marie

The result of not being able to sleep

Marie here again, tired and grumpy. The knee and my hands as well is killing me and nothing helps to take the pain away. So what to do? Up in the middle of the night and do some colouring to take my mind of the pain. So this is what I ended up with.

I had a clean up in the closet where I keep some of my stash and this is all left overs from old cards. The only thing they have in common is that all the designer papers are from Magnolia. Didn't know that I had so much of them! :) I hardly ever use them, cause I never seem to get a good card out from them. I'm not that thrilled over this one either exept the colouring. I decided to try to give the aquamarkers a new chance and suddenly everything came together. These markers will stay here, I thought of giving them away before this. The image is also from Magnolia, one of the cute little Pirate Tildas, never used her before. Used some mesh as a fishing new and a few buttons and charms for some catch. A little blue and white bakers twine, chandeler and some bling stones found laying around in the mess. This is what I came up with. It's way too much sun outside today, the snow gives a very strange light around here. I have to practise my photoskills to be able to take better pictures for this poor blog. :)

I have followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers looking like this
I am entering the card to these challenges
* Passion for Promarkers - Anything goes
* Friday Sketchers - The sketch
* Just Magnolia & Hanglar - Anything goes

So with this said, I think I go and take little time to rest infront of the TV. It's very calm around here today as the kids are back at kindergarten and Mats took them there. Way too far for me to walk when I have this pain. They have moved the kids to a dífferent KG during the holiday season, instead of  300 metres, I have to walk 1500 metres each way. No thank you! Next week back to normal again.

For now
love n' hugs,
Marie

Ps Don't forget, tomorrow it's time for the very first challenge over at Bearly Mine Challenges, do come and join us!
