Cute and furry

Happy Monday once again! Hope you are having a good start of your week. On my side of the screen it's ok if only the cough would give in. I get soreness pain from it. Well that is the only soreness I get those days so maybe I should be grateful. LoL

We have a new challenge for you over at Craft Card Makers again and this period we are taking on "Cute and Furry". Not very hard theme at all. The only thing that was hard with this was to get the colouring working and then camera. I think Lin will take me off the team soon if I can't get my creations up in time soon. LoL

I have used some lovely designer papers from Dovecraft for this card. I love the classic colours with a little modern twist here and there. The cut out tags are from one of the dp's, I just added some twine to them. Flowers are from WOC and the pearl pins from my stash. Some of that Frantáge embossing stuff is also used to make some snow fall. It's fun to play with but hard to use in a moderate way. :) Here we go with learning by doing. :)

This period are we sponsored by
with a $10 GIFT VOUCHER
and

Don't forget to pop by the Crafty Card Makers blog to look at the smashing inpiration my teams has come up with. Wish you all a wonderful day!

Stitching time

Morning everyone! Third post in a week and it feels great. Do you know what? I am still in love with fall. :) It has been a few dry, clear days now and I feel so good from it. I refuse to let bad things get in my way at the moment. Why should I? The heavy pain is gone and it's just "small talk" going on in my joints at the moment. I will treasure these days for as long as they last.

It's Mid week again, and time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter. It's both sad and happy at the same time. It's the last challenge for my old team and that is sad. Many of my new teamies has joined in for this challenge and that's something happy. :)

We have the theme of stitching this week. It can be real or faux that's up to you. I have for once used my sewing mashine and got it to work for once. However, I think I need to get a heavyer thread for next time I'll stitch in paper but it was fun!

My image is vintage seamstress and it's one out of a few images with vintage feel to it. They are stunning. Takes a bit longer to colour with all their details but they look fab! Mine is for a change coloured with distress inks. The print is a bit shabby as my printer don't like that aquarell paper I have used. I had to change colouring mediums again as nothing was working with my Letraset family. They are not making the heavy 270 gr of marker paper anymore and I want to learn how to use the neenah before I get rid of all of the good stuff. Still upset that they won't make it anymore. Grrr!

Sorry, I know the photo is crappy. The light tent and I didn't get along,
well me and the lamps didn't get along. One hot one cold...

Anyway, back to my card. It's stitched around all the edges even if most of it is covered up. Designer papers is from Maja Design, Vintage spring in lilacs and blue. I followed the sketch from CLP challenges, just rotated it a bit. Music note die cuts is made with a die from Dienamics. Charms are from Bildmålarna, ribbon from Joanna Sheen, butterflies made with a MS punch. Pearl string from Rox stamps, mini rose ribbon from WOC and so is the flowers. Swirl is made with DooHickey die from Magnolia and I think that cover it all.

Challenge prize badge
As always we have our gift voucher up for grabs if you play with our brand. It's worth $30! Great isn't it? Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning 3 digis of your choice. Not bad that either. So, now I can't wait to see what you will come up with for this challenge. It's always so inspiring!

It's Passion time

Hello and good morning everyone!
Hope life treats you well and you have had a wonderful start of the week. Here we are recovering from a bunch of colds but that should pass as well I hope. Rather sooner than later would be good. :)

It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers today, and guess what? Yepp! It's my turn to host and as I always are in deep need of cards for boys, I chose that as my theme: One for the boyz. And it really needs to show that it is for male. Nothing more, nothing less. With two boys in the age of birthday parties with friends, I always seen to be rushing around like mad trying to make up some birthday boys cards. I can have this theme for ten weeks and it still wouldn't be enough. LoL

Well, well time to talk about the card then. For a big change I have use a High Hope image. Wish that would happen a little more often than it does. But they are hard to get here in my little corner of the world. Anyway, this stamp used to day did actually Willy win when he took part in his first challenge ever over at the wonderful friendly people over at High Hope Challenges. They even offered him a guest designer spot. I will never forget that. So sweet!

Back to the card. Most of Willy's friends plays in the same soccer team and this little guy does as well. So a soccer card it was, once again. Have lost count of how many it has been by now. LoL He is of course coloured with my Letraset family and paired up with some lovely dp's fitting the theme from YouDo. A dynamo piece with the kids name and a big "7" to tell how old he is was put on. Two soccer ball-buttons that I cut down to make them flat was added to the mix. The inside was also decorated but that part is private and you don't get to see it! :)

Clearly Besotted Stamps is sponsoring us this week over at Passion for Promarkers. I am not really sure what
the prize is but I will ad that to the post as soon as I have figured that out. I am still lost in that Yahoo group.
When I managed to find my way around, the place gets a new look. Typical! LoL

Well, time to go and hopefully do something crafty. I really hope that you will come and play with us over at
PFP this week. I am so looking forward to see what you come up with for this challenge. I need some boyz
themed inspiration!

Love n hugs

Fall is here...

...and I love it. At least today. The sun is shining and the air is so crisp and lovely as it only can be during fall. The trees has started to change colours and it looks amazing. Give it a week or two and they will all be on fire. It's just amazing!

The card I have to show you today is an order I got from a wonderful lady. It has been on my unshown folder for a while now as I have been saving it for show later on. LoL Don't ask me why. With all the pain that was going on during the summer, I am really proud that I managed to make this and keep it together. I hope that the lady who got the card liked it.

For once I have done no colouring on the card. I have use an image from a cutting sheet from Pion Design. All the designer papers used is from them as well. Tons of flowers from WOC is used together with some feathers, hat pins, flowers from Magnolia, glitter stickles, glossy accent. A bunch of cut out by hand butterflies, pearls, lace and probably something more that I have forgotten about here. I have also used a sizzix alphadie to cut the numbers. As it was a give by hand card and not mail card I made a little box for it as well for the receiver to keep it in. Just plain and simple. The die cut sentiment is from Rox Stamps that has the most amazing swedish sentiment dies. Hope there will be a few new ones with "tack (thanks), kram (hug) and some more versions of grattis (congratulations)".

Well, I think I keep it short and sweet today. I am actually in the mood for doing some more creating today. Have just finished one card that is on the drying surface at the moment. That will pop up later on this week. Until tomorrow when we have a new PFP challenge up for you hosted by yours truly, have a really lovely time.

Another oldie

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you're doing fine and are not half as tired as I am. I have been sleeping poorly all week and on top of that I can't get my coloring to work- Might have something to do with eachother? LoL

Therefore I take the chance and show off a card made early this year. Anothter birthday card for one of Willys friends. The image is from Teddy Bo and Bea and is coloured with Letraset markers and polychrome pens. Designer papers are from Me to You range if correcly remembered. It's kept really simple with only a few pearls as decorations. The inside was also decorated but that is for our eyes only. :)

Now it's time to prepare for a bus tour with Philip. He is going to see his orthopedic technician. Hopefully we'll find some new shoes for the winter. It only takes about two months to get them. Hopeless and they are not even water proof. :(

Take card for now.

Snow angel

Hello and welcome back to my little corner of the world. Hope you had a good start of the week and is ready for what ever will come your way. Once again I have a sick kid at home and it drives me nuts that they catch everything there is to get from day care. I am so looking forward to when Philip starts going to school instead of day care.

It's a new week and time for a new challenge over at Crafty Card Makers. This time our theme is "Winged things". As I have been fairly busy I wasn't sure that I had the time to make a card and then I couldn't find any dp and... You know how it can be sometimes. The mojo isn't really there even if you want to.

Luckly for me I have a (now tiny) stash of coloured images that I make when I have the time and feel like colouring. But it's not much left in that pile that I feel like using. But at least this card got done. The image is from Magnolia. I believe it's from last years Christmas release. It's a cute image anyway and I love colouring miss Tilda with distress inks so that's what I have done here.

She is paired up with some dp's from raspberry road and Carta Bella I believe. I normally don't mix and match like that but as first printed one, then another. Nothing worked and I just threw it all on my desk and the dp's kind of picked themself after all that frustration. That's the bad part about colouring a head, it never matches anything. LoL

A few die cuts is used as embellishments. The snow flakes are from Whimsy stamps and the ivy die is from Joanna Sheen. The quality of that die is amazing! I need to get some more from her range. Some flower soft in white, big pearls from Bunny Zoe where I also got the snow flake die by the way. Also a few gemstones from Magnolia is used to decorate this creation of mine. Ops! Forgot that I used a Prima swirl and some lace from WOC as well. A white set of frantage is also used around the image.

This week we are sponsored by
CRAFTS AND ME
with three digis of the winner's choice from their great range

AND ALSO BY

The new Paper Shelter team

Hello everyone!
I hope you have a great end to the weekend and that life treats you well. I just thought I drop by and tell who the chosen ones are for the new semester over at the Paper Shelter. I have kept really busy with the dt-call the last two weeks and there has been very little crafting going on here. But soon it will be better and I hope to get back on track. I just don't have as much time as I used to with all rehab taking up more of my time. It might sound strange but I have heard that there is more to life than crafting and blogging. Can you belive that?LoL

Sun, Moon and Stars

We have a new challenge up for you all today over at the Paper Shelter. There is still a little time to entre our dt-call as well. You have until 23:55 to do that, UK time that is.

Our theme of the week is "Sun, moon and the stars - I want to see either one on  your card". So a bit different theme for this challenge but it isn't as hard as it sounds. Stars makes lovey embellishments for a Christmas card, maybe you do something halloween themed using a moon in some way. And stars are also lovely embellishments for boys cards. The team has been amazing and made really clever creations to inspire you all.

The gift voucher
As always play with a TPS product you have the chance of winning $30 gift voucher. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choise. Not bad, not bad.

Once again I am running late. My doctors appointments took longer than I planed and now I feel really tired. I also got stuck in the DT-call when I got back home. It's not easy to try figure out who we are going to pick for this semester. Many wonderful crafters out there. However I will have a creation up under my set theme later on today. But first I need to rest as I am really feeling dizzy and not on my toes. Can't wait until things gets back to normal again and I can have my working schedule work for me instead of the other way around.

Finally at 16:22 I manage to get my card up. A really bad day with pain and stress and you name it. You know one of those days.  Not even the coloring was working for me, so when that happen, change coloring medium and things feels better after a while. You will not make the same misstakes over and over and have to change your thinking order. Sounds strange but works for me. So I have coloured with pencils and sansodor for a change. It became a little pale but at least I got a card made. God I can't wait for things to settle.

I have used the Basic Grey paper pad again with the lovely pet prints on it. The colours is to die for in this pad. Warm and cozy. I love them even if they are hard to combine with images. Lucky for me I have these cute kittens to work with. I think this one is called Sing to the moon or something close to that. :) A black lace, black pearls and some star pearl embellishments from WOC makes it as complete as it can be for now. I am not in a good card making spirit and guess what I have to do? Yepp, a card on comission has to be done by Friday night and then delivered to my mum, and it will go to my brother in Ã…sa. It's my sweet anuntie that has orderd it, but it's so short of time. I just couldn't say no. So off to work to figure something out. But first some rest for my neck.

Promarker time

Morning everyone! Autumn seems to have arrived this morning with a foggy night and now it's raining. Well, I actually love this time of the year. But today I am not in the mood for it. Maybe because I am nervous about an appointment at the hospital. I am told that I need a hearing aid. Was on a check up after a nasty ear infection last spring and then they told me that infection was gone but so was some of my hearing. Really don't feel comfortable about this, but the fact that I can talk about it is a BIG step forward.

For those who saw my post the other day about getting hijacked. I am happy to inform that from what I could see that all hijacked cards has been removed and are not up on that blog anymore. I was so pissed when I found out and thanks to all of you who left comments on both google+ and on their blogspot, it's now gone. Victory! Thank you for your support and help. We made our voices heard and it helped!  (At least for now and until it happens again.)

And now to the fun part of this post. It's a new fun challenge up for you to take part in over at Passion for Promarkers. This weeks theme set by Shelly is Perfect Pets. Nice and easy, there really is so many wonderful images with pets on it out there in both stamping- and digi image world. Why don't you use one and come and play with us?

I have used one of my top images from the Paper Shelter for this card. It is one of the first ones from the Paper Shelter and I still love him or her. The image is called  Mischievous Kitten and is of course colored with my Letraset family. I stayed fairly close to the colours that Veronica, the artist behind this image coloured her original kitten. I have had a challenge in finding the right colours for this before. So learning by doing this time. :)  I paired up him with some yummy old papers from Basic Grey in rich colors that I love for the moment. Besides it looks so good with the dark aqua colors. LoL And do you see it? They actually have the same colour of yarn on the dp! :)

Only two different decorations this time; some ribbon with a bow and some "card candy". I think I have enough of them to last me a lifetime and still there is colours I really wish that I had in my "little" collection. Sometimes I just need bigger things than my usual pearls. LoL This card is also built up on hight with a whole bunch of form dots, just to make it a tiny bit extra special.

Michele R Designs Papers
We have a sponsor as well for this challenge and it is Michele R Designs. I have to come back and edit this after my doctors appointment. Need to figure out what the prize is...  Ahhha! The prize is "one lucky winner will receive $10 of digi papers from Michele’s selection at Whimsy stamps"As it seems I get lost in the new look of Yahoo where I would normally find all the info I need for this. LoL  Anyway, come and join us over at Passion for Promarkers and don't forget to use an image with a pet on it.

I am really pissed off!

A warning to you all this lovely Sunday afternoon.
Well at least it was until I found out about this...

I keep this to a minimum: There is a person/company who "hijacks" photos of your work and blog posts or parts of them or the whole lot of your blog posts. The photos will be croped not to show your blog adress on top of that. (Also giving them really bad translations / changing words in the post to make it new.)

This is the link you have to be aware of.

http://yamarobbin.blogspot.ca

Keep your eyes open! And please spread the word so that all hard working crafters get to know. We put a lot of work into our projects and we do not deserve things like this.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention !

Marie

An old one but never shown...

Hello everyone and thanks for all wonderful and lovely comments on my cards this last weeks. These really makes my day. It has been wonderful to read them and feel the inspiration coming back to me again. Besides it has been a good break between looking into all wonderful applicants to our design team call over at the Paper Shelter.  Talking about that, it's still a few days left to enter and I would love it if you took part in it. There is quite a few spots to fill again and our team are very delightful to work with and all the gals are wonderful. So don't miss the chance of being in one of the best teams out there. You will not regret it.

Saying all this good stuff about the paper Shelter should involve me showing a card using a TPS image, but I don't have any ready for you to see. For that you have to wait until next week when there is a new challenge both on the TPS challenge blog and Passion for Promarkers as well. :)

This card of mine was actually made last year. I never got a chance to show it and as the BIG holiday is coming up in about 100 + days, it might give someone, some inspiration to make a Christmas card. LoL I know I need the inspiration myself, I have about 37 more of them to make. That means I have managed to make the overwhelming amount of 3 Christmas cards for this year so far. LoL

The image from Magnolia is colored with distress inks and paired up with some lovely designer papers from Dove craft or PaperMania I think. Flowers from WOC and so is the lace. It was a box card made for one of Philip's teachers as their Christmas gift. I really should get those stamps out again and start coloring shouldn't I? Could anyone please finish of the cards for me when I have the colouring done? LoL I have actually put all the Christmas stamps that never have been used in one big bag and plan to use at least a few of them this year. Some things you just feel you need to have right here right now and then never uses them anyway. I have tons of that stuff, that I reeeaalllllly need right here right now and then it just get piled up in boxes waiting to be used. LoL It's time for a treasure hunt in those boxes let me tell you.

Now however, I have an evening filled with soccer ahead of me. The "big" team is playing against Irland late tonight, and in just a little while it's time for the U21 national team to take on Poland. Go Sweden!

Snow and ice at Christmas time

Good afternoon everyone! I am back again, having a little break from the on going dt-call work over at the Paper Shelter to give you some new inspiration from the Crafty Card Maker's design team. Still quite stable when it comes to my shoulder and neck pain. Can it be cause I phoned the doctor? LoL Had a dentist appointment today and got the whole mouth cleaned up with a splitting headache as the prize for that. Oh well, it will pass. And got tons of painkiller...

My card then, because I actually managed to make on this time. I am so happy about that. Hate to let my teams down. Well, I had to make two cards as my first one wasn't Christmassy enough and therefore  something in a style I normally wouldn't use on my cards as my first love is coloring, not the card making it self. Why I don't paint pictures instead? Well, it takes to long and I am easily bored. LoL I used to paint in oil and has taken a few classes. The last one was different and we had to paint with really broad brushes. I think I lost the join and old technic there. Maybe it comes back to me who knows?

The image is from IndigoBlu. They have some fantastic stamps and I love this even if it's just first time out and I bought it way before last Christmas. I think I will use it a few more time this year as the cards get done really fast and I don't have to colour with my bad shoulder, on the other had the stamp is big and need it's strength to give a good print.

I have embossed the image in detail white embossing poweder that has been laying around for ages. For the extra snowing effect I used some of the Frantage embossing enamel and some champagne flakes. Maybe I over did it a bit, but hey it was my first time and it was fun. You actually should try it out yourself sometime. Also don't forget to take a look at what my fellow teamies has been up to. You will be singing Christmas carols any minute now. :)

This week's challenge is "Christmas snow and Ice", and this is what Lin has written in her blog post over at CCM.
