Anything goes over at the Paper Shelter

Morning and hello! Second time today! It's time for the last challenge of the year over at the Paper Shelter. This challenge will run to 9th of January and then we start off again 10th of January. The them of our challenge this time is Anything goes. And just as always when we name our challenges that you won't be getting any comments from our team. Still you have the same chance of winning our fabby prizes.

As always, we have a gift voucher up worth $30 when you play with the Paper Shelter brand. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning 3 digis of your choice. Nice and easy to play along, right? You can enter our challenges up to three times, but at least one of your creations needs to have a TPS image on it.

For my creation this week have I gone really easy as I don't have much energy at the moment. My meds are still playing games with me and now is one of our cats ill again and have a week of stay over at the Vet's place. He is getting treated for kidney problems and FOL. He is losing his teeth. The vet is checking him to see if she can fix him and so far she is doing a great job!

Will try to replace the photo tomorrow camera died on me again.

So today have I made an invitation for a friend that I will invite for dinner during one of the Christmas "days". As I don't see well enough to colour at the moment did I use a pre coloured image and pretty much made a die cut of the image to decorate the invitation. I used the image called "For being a good boy". It's super sweet don't you think?

I made the card with some red cardstock and some digital papers from Simple Stories that I use quite often for Christmas. It's called Mistletoekisses. I just did some simple layering and fuzzy cut the image and split it into two pieces and use on each side of the text. And then on with some glitter glue from Rangers because after all it is Christmas.

I do hope that you will take the time to join us for this last challenge of the year! And a big thank you to Shirley who really have done a hard work running both the blog hop and this challenge and on top of that will start the year with her part of the team! A big thank you hug to you!

Anything goes Christmas or with an option of charm

Morning and hello and welcome to my last post for the Merry Christmas challenge for 2017. I will be back with more Christmas during the New year of 2018. Sounds so far away, and yet it is only a few weeks away. Time just pass by faster and faster. Kind of scary don't you think? It's getting more important to be here and now not to miss out on life.

And then we have my card, a CAS one this week. I have used an image I think is from Make it Crafty. Not totally sure as I have had this one coloured for over a year just laying there waiting to get used. However I have coloured this little fellow in a bit of strange colours even if I love how he looks. I am please with my colouring for once. However it was hard to match him up with some dp's and I had planned for a CAS card but didn't know how, until the other day.

I have been looking on tons of scrapbooking you tube videos lately and took inspiration from them when it came to framing the main part of the card with a back ground paper even if it's white just like the image paper. I took some paper strips from my stash and made a strip for the bottom of the card and a wavy one on top. Nice and simple and then did I stamp the "merry Christmas" (in Swedish)in the empty space in a part of t wave. Nice and easy and even the dp's match my little Santa gnome.

We always have the theme of  Anything goes for Christmas at our challenge blog TMCC. Now have we also added a theme if you like more of a challenge. This week we're going for the theme/option of use a charm. I didn't follow that one this week, normally I use plenty of charms on my creations. How strange it can be.

Well I wish you all a fabby Christmas and a happy New Year! I see you 2018!

Love n hugs

Anything goes Christmas over at WW

Morning and hello! Time for another challenge over at the Winter Wonderland. It's the last challenge of the year at the Winter Wonderland and this time we are doing the ever so popular theme of Anything goes - Christmas. After all we are a Christmas challenge blog.

I am sorry about the photo. Except the dark weather we're having here in Sweden have I also so trouble with my eye at the moment as I have started a new medication. Hopefully will the blurr go a way in a while but for now everthing looks a bit foggy.

The image I have used is called Chilly with birdhouse and it's from Pink Gem Designs. Sweet isn't ? I have coloured with my mix of Letraset / Winsor & Newton markers and some clear glitter pen from my stash.

The designer papers are from Dove craft I think and I paired them up with some red cardstock and a doily from Tilda design. To keep the lace theme going did I add some fabric lace as well and folded it so it has to layers. One layer going a bit further down than the other. Looks great IRL as far as I can see. LoL I few punched out hearts is also used and that's it when it comes to decorations.

Well, sweet and short today as it is kind of hard to see and I get a terrible headache trying. I wish you all the best and see you around.

The prize for this challenge is from Pink Gem Designs and the PRIZE is - 2 single digi images or 2 card topper kits of the winner’s choice or one of each.

Bloghop with celebration challenge

Morning and hello! It's time for the yearly bloghop over at the Paper Shelter. This year we are celebrating 7 years together with you all. And such amazing years it has been! Tons of fun and I have been here every single minute of these years as well as Shirley has. A big thank you to the Paper Shelter for keep bring all these fabby images our way!

This challenge has the theme of Celebrations or birthdays. So you are fine to go with either new baby, new year, birthdays, Christmas etc. Just to widen the challenge a bit. Important to know is that you DON'T have to bloghop to take part in the challenge. This challenge will last for two weeks and the more you blog hop the more chances of winning you get. Each and everyone on the team has an image to give away, and it is an image of your choice. You also have the chance of winning one image commenting on the challenge post as well as winning the gift voucher. The big one of you play with a TPS image and 3 playing with another brand.

For my card this week have I used the lovely image called Emily. I have fussy cut and coloured with Letraset / Winston & Newton markers. I printed the image fairly large and seated her in a photo frame. She is paired up with some designer papers from NitWit collections/LOTV. Some lace, a few flowers, a charm (can you spot it?) and some pearl hearts finishes this creation off. I thought I would keep this info short this week as the post is fairly long anyway...

My card is the final one on this long blog hop. Remember you don't have to hop along to play along. and if you only want to visit a few of us that's ok too. Your final stop is to go back to the challenge post.

Here is all the stops on your way:
Lilibet
Lena
Sabrina
Marie (you are here)

I hope you all had a great time playing and taking part in our blog hop. We know it's a long distance run but you can always split it up and keep the fun going during a few days. Wish you all a happy December and see you all again 20th of December with a new challenge!

Anything goes or Fun Folds - Christmas

Morning and hello! I am back again with a new fun challenge for the Merry Christmas Challenge blog. This time you have two options for the challenge either you go with the the not so challenging Anything goes or you go with our optional theme of "fun folds". Myself chose the easy way and goes for Anything Goes this time.

Well, there isn't as many Christmas gifts this year as we use to have. We go on the more expensive versions this year and plan a trip or two and give them to the boys. But some will there be and there is others that should have their gifts so I keep going with my gift tags. I have posted a few before and I make them all out of scraps from other projects and so is the fact with these as well.

I think these are left overs from my digital version from Simple Stories, but I don't remember what the name is. But I use this pack quite a lot and had it as main part of last years December Daily, which I yet have to finish off as Christmas Eve isn't in it yet. LoL

For these tags have I used the scraps and I have used a Spellbinder die that cut through chip board. It's a great die and I have three sizes of these tags. This is the smallest one, perfect for the little big gifts. I have used an bunch of ribbons that is leftover from other projects and just left in my stash. There is some twin in both red and light blue. Two charms have I used for the tags as well as I feel I am drowning in them at the moment. I stopped counting when I had passed 200 on the snow flake charms. I have also made a simple decoration with some left over die cut snow flakes from Lawn Fawn. And one of the tags has also gotten some bells added to it all in silver as I prefere that before golden stuff.

I wish you all the best and do something that makes you happy!

Mega Christmas Challenge

Morning and hello! This week is filled with blog hops and mega challenges and stuff like this. Today I introduce our final challenge of the year over at Passion For Promarkers /Winsor & Newton markers. Our theme is week is really easy: Add a sentiment. Shouldn't be any problems right? You have to the beginning of January to enter our challenge.

For my card have I used yet another Sassy Cherryl image. I so adore this one, as well as the rest of the sweet gang I have collected. A real classic Santa with lovely look. I went with grey once again. I really love colouring with grey and just small touches with other colours if any.

The paper pad is from Panduro, I had it for ages but not used it very much as it's a tiny bit smaller than the normal 6x6 pads. But for this one it's totally ok. I have decorated with some ribbon, a few punched snowflakes, a charm and some card cany.

And here comes some info from our challenge blog, all the fabby sponsors that we have for this challenge. So do come on and play with us! (I will add all of the links during the day.)

Add three different kind of embellishments

Morning and hello! Hope you're doing fine and are having a good week so far. Myself is a bit knocked out my socks. Started some new meds that makes me feel like I have the flu, still. Last week sick for real, this week bi effects from my meds. It will last up to three months if I'm out of luck. It could always be worse as one of my co-workers said the other day.

Today is it time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter and this week we have an easy theme with a long name. "Add three different kind of embellishments". Nice and easy I think and now when many of us is making X-mas cards we tend to decorate a bit more. At least I do that, even if I try to keep it down a bit. Just so that the postage won't be that costly. LoL

Today have I used the precoloured version of the image So comfy and so Fluffy. I wasn't able to finish my colouring this time so I am glad that we have the precoloured versions to use as well. I paired this lovely duo up with some designer papers from Maja design, mostly leftovers from other projects. It's from the collection called "A gift for you".

I have used a few different kind of embellishments for this card. There is sequines, ribbon and lace, some wooden stars, some metal snowflakes and some fake snow on top of that. The only thing missing in my own mind is that I maybe should have used a sentiment as well. I do love to make my Christmas cards, but even if I keep making theme them whole year around I still have not got enough of them. So I need to make a bunch more of them. I need to get to 40 or so of them, have about 10 or so left to make. So I better keep going when it comes to making them.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Anything Goes or monochrome - Christmas

Morning and hello! Hope you are doing fine and have a good week so far. Today I am back with a new creation for The Merry Christmas Challenge. We do always have the theme of Anything goes - Christmas. That means you can enter with any kind of craft project you want. You can knit, crochet, paint, make a card, a scrapbook page etc. Anything is welcome as long as it is all about Christmas.

I have really fallen in love with Sassy Cheryls lovely snowmen and I am reusing my images over and over again. Today I have used a fairly big image for card and used the theme of red, but my card is not monochrome. I have used a well used paper pad which I can't find any front off yet again. I should organize my dp's better but it's not as fun as crafting.

I have coloured my image with my Letraset markers / Winsor and Newton markers. This time going with red, black and yellow as main colours. Once again have I used a sketch from Papertake weekly's old librarby of sketches. Really useful. LoL My mind is not that well in shape at the moment so it feels good to be lazy from time to time. I have even made myself a little book filled with sketches to be able to be lazy.

For this card have I managed to decorate my card with a few card candies in white and a stars made up from tiny pearls. The letter tiles are from Panduro and in white. They have plenty of colours for these tile letters. I have also used some glitter stickles in yellow and in black to add a bit of extra sparkle. The yellow is nice but the black is a bit harsh in my mind, but it looks ok here.

Ok my crafty friends. This is all from me for today and I do of course hope that you come and play with us over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. It's nice and friendly.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Morning and hello! Welcome back to my little corner of the world. Hope your feeling a bit better than we do over here in the dark cold country of Sweden at the moment. Tons of colds and flues. Not the most fun stuff. It's like having someone sitting on your chest when I breath and the rest of the family sounds like old steam steam-engines. Oh well, it will pass but it's the second week in the row now and I am so tired of having someone at home all the time.

Anyway, that doesn't stop the new fabby challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. This week we have the theme set to "It's beginning to look a lot like X-mas". Nice and easy as we have December here in just a week or so. A busy time of the year but still I have a bunch of these Christmas cards to make.

Denise Morgans foto.

Remember that you have to use Winsor Newton / Letraset Markers of any kind to have a chance on the fabby prize for this week. Which is sponsored by Digistamp Boutique. The prize up for grabs is a voucher worth £10. Great one, right?

Ok here comes my card then. The image is from Sassy Cheryls. A bit different from all the snowmen I normally use from her lovely collection. This is by far my favourite image for Christmas, all time. It's a great mix of classic and modern santa. He is just perfect and I love colouring him in grey.

The designer papers are from Panduro, an old paper pad that was quite a good fit to this image. The card design is simple with quite a bunch of layers to add some both texture and fun to the card. I have decorated it with some metal snow flakes and I cut a few of them in the middle. Saving weight and mailing costs. LoL There is also a few brown heart shaped pearls. The stamp is my favourite mini text stamp from Gummiapan I think. I don't have the package left so not totally sure.

Well then, this is all from me for today. I wish you a great day and hope that you will come and join us for our Christmas challenge over at PFP this week.

Add some snowflakes

Morning and hello! Time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter today. This week are we celebrating winter with the theme of "Add some snowflakes". Should not be to hard to deal with at this time of the year. Right?

I have used a part of an image called Snug but stylish. I had this printed since last year I think and decided that it was time to use it again. After all it was already printed. I think I kind of went with the same colours then as I did now but for me Christmas is red and grey and may be some gold or silver to that. LoL I coloured with a mix of Letraset / Winsor & Newton markers this time. I had planned to add some pencils to the mix as well but it got lost on the way how to speak.

It might look a bit strange over the eyes, but it's just the glossy accent shining...

I did sort some designer papers the other day and found a paper pack that I have been horded as the brand is no longer around. It's called Winter time and it is from Bildmålarna. I miss them terrible. I have some dp's left from the company but far from enough if you ask me. Please come back! LoL

Since the theme is snowflakes have I decorated the card with a few of them by making a half circle around the die cut circle that is my image. The blend in quite well with the dp's but they are there in some sparkling grey card stock. I did also use a really tiny, tiny snow flake from Lawn Fawn and stamped around the image instead of using my normal stickles border that tend to be my go to choice for these kind of cards. I also used some flowers from my I am Roses stash and realized that I am actually runing out of them. In three months or so...LoL But I can't remember when I had so few of them last. They are by far my favourite flowers as their size are perfect for most cards. I did also add a little tiny sentiment with a stamp from "Gummiapan" I think. Really tiny and so easy to use. Love it!

Well then... As always when playing with a TPS image you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth $30. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice.

Take care everyone and do something that makes you happy!

Tag you're it!

God evening to you all! Having a bit a trouble with both myself and the PC today that's why my post is late for the Winter Wonderland's new challenge with the fabby theme of "Tag, you're it! That means we want to see a tag on your card, or if my maybe make a tag just like I have. It's totally up to you how you wanna do it, but the tag has to be there for you to be able to take part in our challenge for this period of time.

I have made a tag for the challenge this time. And it's made all out of scraps, feels good to see the scrap pile getting a little less big. LoL I think it is a simple stories paper but not totally sure of it. All the twine, pieces of lace and silver thread is short pieces that is left overs from other projects and it's fun to see how well they all worked together.

At first I thought that I would go only for the blue, silver and white theme, but in the end I decided to add a few pops of red in some twine and in a couple of metallic thread coloured in red. I think that my blue lace flower with the lace in it is from Magnolia, Sweden and the rest is from I am Roses and Wild Orchid Crafts. The pearl swirl is from PY hobby and the pearl hearts are from my stash. The charm and the little bells are also from PY hobby I think. All lace and ribbons are from my stash.

No automatic alt text available.

Sponsoring this challenge is Crafty Ribbons and here is some info about them.

Anything goes - Christmas

Morning and hello to you all again! It's really early Wednesday morning here in Sweden. And today is it time for a new challenge over at the Merry Christmas Challenge. As you probably know by now we are a Christmas challenge and our theme is always Anything goes - Christmas.

We do have a top three each week and it's alway fun to be on a top list isn't it? The only thing you have to think about is that you creation is for Christmas. Other than that you can do what you want. You can cross stitch, make a scrapbook page, crochet something, a classic card etc.

Today have I used once again one of the fabby images from Sassy Cheryl's fantastic snow men. The image is coloured with my mix of promarkers / triamarkers. When the image was ready I fussy cut it a bit of randomness. I really needed the red border around the image to make it pop a bit. And the rest of the card is mostly done with left over pieces of designer papers and card stock. There is some red, silver, and white cardstock. I think that the dp's are from Dove Craft I think.

The snowflakes are made with a snowflake die from Lawn Fawn I think. I always cut extra when I am at it and then just put it all in a bin and get everything messed up. So some guessing here about the brand. LoL I have used some letter sticker for the sentiment that is saying Merry Christmas in Swedish. Some pearl stars are also used to decorate the card for this challenge.

Don't forget to add your card to our challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Use your die cuts

Morning and hello! Hope you're all doing well and have a nice week so far. Except for a splitting headache I am almost feeling ok. But that head is killing me. Oh well, there needs to come better days.

Denise Morgans foto.

Today do we have a new challenge up for you all over at Passion for Promarkers. You can enter our challenges if you use the former promarkers/trimarkers or as they are now known as Winsor and Newton promarkers. This is if you want a chance of the prize from Alicia Bel - €10.00 voucher. So come on and join us for this challenge that is perfect for those Christmas cards you have to get done for example. It's a nice and easy theme, right?

For once I have not made a christmas card. I got an order from a gal at work, she needed a card for a 30 year old and this is the result. I am sorry about the strange colours in the photo. It was a terrible rainy day and I don't have any extra lights or anything like that for my photos. Probably need to get something like that. Anyway, the image is from Power Poppy and the designer papers are a mix from Maja Design. I think it's vintage summer and vintage autumn. They have kind of become mixed up as their glue line have broken and the papers are all lose.

Forward on... I have used a bunch of different dies for this card: there is a lace from magnolia, a bow die that I don't have a name for, the butterfly with the pattern is from Joy design (I think), then there is two spellbinder dies: large ovals and fancy ovals.

I have quite a lot of details on this card which I normally don't have, well not in a long time at least. There is some lace with roses on it. It's really pretty IRL and then we have a bunch of flowers both from I am roses and from Wild Orchid Crafts. Some decoratiove stemmens and some glitter glue that I have smudge out with my fingers as I didn't want any high raised spots on the image. On the flowers have I used a thicker layer. And the final touch is the pearls used as details here and there.

And that is all for this time. I hope you come and play along with us as our prizes are great and our challenges are fun. :)

Happy Birthday!

Morning and hello! Time for yet another post from me this week. Today is the final day of my "use the same design and papers"-series. LoL I normally don't make my cards like this but for once I decided to make it easy on myself. It has been a busy time and I have quite a lot of pain so making it easy is the only way at the moment.

On this version of my card did I get a bit over board with my flowers but looking back at it like this, it isn't so bad. I kind of looks like they are blowing in the wind. The design and the dies use are the same as the other two cards. For this one is it just an ordinary card design, not a easel card or anything. I have still used the scraps from my other two cards but now I can't make a whole card  more from what is left. But three card from scraps are pretty good don't you think?

Oh well since I have already shown two cards in the same design I stop here and wish you a great weekend.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

A thank you card

Morning and hello! Here comes the second of my "look a like" cards for this week. This time it's a thank you card for the wedding we attended in Mid october. It was a nice and fun day with lots going on and many happy and fun people that I never had meet before. But it's hard spending tons of time with people that has some overload of alcohol when you don't drink it yourself. It's not as fun to listen to all the sillyness after 5 or 6 hours. Oh well, once in a lifetime, right?

Well then, my card just says "thank you so much" in swedish and that is always nice as it was a great weeding in a cave. The kids got to help the cave guide to hand out lamps when we went to see the cave after the ceremony.

I thought I would send the wedding couple a little thank you card with a photo background for my text but I have not gotten to that part yet. It's always a busy place our computer and I have all my photos on the other computer and the photoediting as well. I hope that I will be able to save up so that I can have some photoediting software on this computer as well so that it will work on this unit as well. You never know when you need to use this one for that part. I'm hoping to be doing a bit better with my photo editing during the coming year as well as light on my photos but it really is a matter of space. Ok... I think I got a bit lost here. Back to the card... LoL

Ok then, my card has the same base as the last card and I have actually managed to make three cards from the same three papers. Kind of proud of myself for that. On the inside will I put the greeting on the photo. Thought I will use a photo from the cave as a back ground and write in the photo editing software. It will look great!

Time for my to finish off for this time. I see you once more this week. With my finally card looking pretty much the same. But then it will be a birthday card! Same, same and still a bit different thanks to the sentiment.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs

Digital Delight - Anything digital

Morning and hello! I am back with another card for you this week. Well actually I have two to show you today. I normally only have one for each challenge but this time I have two teamies sick over at the Paper Shelter so I decided to skip the colouring this week and use the lovely pre coloured images we have over at the Paper Shelter and instead make two cards. So here we go.

But first as always you can enter our challenges up to three times, but one of them has to have a TPS image on it. Playing with a TPS image gives you the chance of winning a gift voucher worth $30. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three (3) digis of your choise. Be aware that you have to contact the Paper Shelter before Saturday this week to be able to claim your prize.

Here we go! My cards! The first one is made with the fabby image called Ice Skating Santa. I did use the pre coloured image this week, just to speed things up and because Veronica's digital colouring is smashing, don't you think? I have also paired the image up with a digital kit from Simple Stories but at the this point I can't remember the name of it. I am sorry about that. It is on my other PC. My other PC is in quarantine as my kids are spending way too much time on it. We have hidden the electrical cord and I have no energy to go and get it at this moment. LoL

Anyway, I used one of the old but fabby sketches that was made for the Papertake weekly challenges and used that as a starting point for this card. Great way when you feel a bit stressed and really don't know what to do with your card making, or scrapbooking. So that one was used and I printed my dp's, some cutting and gluing and finshing off with some silver sequins that I added a pearl in each center of the snowflakes. I also added "Merry Christmas" in Swedish with lovely bold letter thickers from a brand I yet have to remember. Maybe a bit big but it was fun to use them and the give a nice sparkle to the card. I also added some glitter stickles in two shades to the ice that Mr Santa is skating on. I think it was ice and turquoise.

Sorry this post is really long, but here we go. Yet another pre coloured image from my beloved Shelter. This one is called Christmas decorations. I have never coloured this image before and I still have that pleasure waiting for me. It's a very sweet image, don't you think? This one have I paired with some designer papers from Studio Light called Winter feelings No 59. The green / turquoise was a perfect match to the colours in this image I used. I just reinforced the colours a bit by adding some glitter both from a pen and some stickles.

For the first time did I manage to use the Bazil cardstock called Flamingo. Such cool colour and that was also a perfect match to the image. Just an hour when everything came together. Just perfect! Well, the card isn't perfect but the colour matching is great. LoL For this card did I use yet another sketch from Papertake Weekly. It's a great place for inspiration. Just a tip for you all.

For decoration did I use a golden ribbon with very light cloth on it so it's a see thrue ribbon. I love that ribbon, but it's very broad so it's not always I can use it. A few pearl hearts in brown and some alpha block stickers from Panduro in cream and with some glossy accents over as I like the feeling of it on my cards.

Ok then people of the cardmaking world. It's over and out from me for today. I wish you a great day and I see you tomorrow again.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Wedding card

Morning and hello! Another card I made this year for no dt. I think I am up to two of these now. LoL. I wonder were all time goes. I used to have so much time for card making and writing to my friends. Oh well at least I have something to write about when I finally write these days. It is so worth having a job to go to and have a "normal" life again.

This card was made for my cousin and his wife and as I had forgot to take photos of it before we went to Hässleholm where the wedding took place the photo isn't that good. I had really fun making this card even if I had no colouring done this time, or may be it was fun because of it. So much easier. I spent quite some time with my die cutting mashine for this card and I think that I have used dies from Magnolia, Sweden only and in all different kinds. Some are border dies some flowers dies and the letters are a Tim Holtz die. The dp's is a mix of papers from Pion Design and some scraps I had laying that fitted perfect in colours.

I have used tons of broze/golden wax on the flowers and on the label die. The lace with the roses is from Wild Orchid Crafts I think and the pearl string is from Rox stamps.

I like the design of this card a lot so I have actually made yet another two with fairly much the same design. I will show them during the week. One being a thank you card and the other for a birthday...

Take care and I talk to you soon again. Do something that makes you happy!

Love n hugs
Marie
