X-mas Cheers 1-2021

Morning and hello!
It's last day of January and since I still have a thing going for Christmas cards, I decided to share at least one with you every month. So my own little series of X-mas Cheer will show up here last day of each month. That is if I don't get in the mood to make more of them, then you will see plenty of them, at least after July or so. :)

This little goodie is from Sassy Sherryl that is no longer on line selling her wonderful work of art. I adore every single one of her images. I don' remember the name of this one as it is one of the files I have lost. :(

But this fabby image is paired up with some Maja Design papers, It might be a mix of two different paper pads. It's a clean and simple design that only has a few sequins and a die cut heart as decorations. I have also used a piece of lace to have a little more texture on the card. Anyway, this is it for today.

Take good card and do something that brings you joy in every day life!

Just for fun 4-2021

Morning and hello!
Another little card from me made just for the fun of it. It's not the best creation I have ever made but I have made it and used up some left overs from a bunch of cards I made using Denim and Friends from Maja design. It's from the male version.

I am not sure from where I have gotten this cute image as I lost a bunch of my files a while back. I guess I coloured this up when I was making a bunch of cards for Hemlösa Katter Kalmar. (Homeless cats Kalmar) It's a rescue group for stray and cats that needs help. I have two of them here at home together with an old lady from another cat shelter and then my maine coon not to be forgotten.

The card is simple and I have hardly not decorated it. Just with a few pre made enamel dots in white.

Anyway, take care and do take some time to relax and make something you love.

Happy Birthday over at The Paper Shelter

 Morning and hello!
It's a cold day here in my corner of the world and I never thought that I would say this, but I will: I want summer! My favourite time of the year is normally fall but not at this moment. I want to sit outside and craft and listen to a good book. And I want to do it now. :)

Anyway, it is Wednesday and it's time for a new challenge over at the Paper Shelter and that is pretty close to a sunny day, right? This weeks theme is set to "Happy Birthday", hope you all like that theme.

I have used an old image called Victoria. It is one of my all time favourites and I think I have used the image not too long ago. I coloured more than one because I couldn't decide what designer paper I would match the image to. But now have I decided and I went with a mix of Maja Design papers. I think it's both Vintage Spring and Vintage Fall but not totally sure. The paper pads has fallen apart and are a big bunch for me to dig in to.

I have had a 3 day cleaning in my studio, still some left to do but I need some more boxes for storing and organizing. Anyway, I have seen all the stuff that I have hoarded over the years and it's kind of use it up time now.

Besides that I went with pink card stock today so have I used some silver glitter stickers as a border around the card, some lovely crystals that I have had a hard time using as I got them from a friend who commit suicide some years ago. We where "just" pen friends but I still miss her. I have also used a few Prima flowers from my mega stash of flowers. Even some brad got used for the center of the flowers. To finish it all of have I used some ribbon and bow, and a sentiment stamp from hÄngar and Wings.

This will be all for today. I hope that you take some time and come and play along with us over at the Paper Shelter challenges. You don't have to use a TPS image even if we love it when you do. There is always a $30 gift voucher up for grabs if you play with our brand, playing with another gives you a chance of winning three digis of your choice.

Take care every one and do something that makes you happy!

Just for fun 3-2021

Morning and hello!
Here comes a card made just for fun again. I have a huge pile of cards made for future use. This one is made with one of the amazing flower images around. It's from Altenew called Poppy Garden. There is also matching dies to all the parts in the stamp set. It's quite expensive but let me say it like this: if I only have one stamp set for a life time it would be this. I will be able to use it forever.

For this card have I coloured the flower in a lovely red combination. Colouring is made with my Promarkers. I have not used any patterned papers, just a card base and some washi tape in black and white. I have made some splatters with black and golden ink. For details to the card have I used some enamel dots from Panduro. They are in lovely green, red and golden, and yes from a Christmas pack of dots but I thought they work well with this card. Sorry about the a bit crappy photo.

Anyway, I hope you like the card and please do take some time to relax and do something that you love!

Anything goes over at Passion for Markers

Morning and hello!
It's time for a new DT-card here on my blog today. It is our lovely Passion for Markers that has a new challenge up for all of you that colour your images with any kind of markers. Our theme this week is bravely set to "Anything goes".

I have used a sponsor image for this card and it's from BugaBoo and is called Tulip Jar. My granny loved her tulips and I kind of fancy them as well. Granny loved red ones, I love the two coloured ones. Ok, what more? As you understand is Bugaboo our sponsor this week and they offer one lucky winner a gift voucher worth $12.

And my card? Well, it turned into two cards as I had a little help creating the first one. A tip from me: Don't allow your maine coon on your desk while working with any kind of liquids. I did manage to save most of it but I had time to make a second one. Two for the prize of one! That's probably the best part about Bugaboo images, they are easy to colour with the little broader lines.

My second card is the one shown on the challenge blog. And this one did I colour in pink with some blue and yellow butterflies. Most of the colouring is made with some copic markers. I have used a paper pad from Glitz called Carpe Diem if I am correct. I used some Nuvo drops (white and Morning Dew) and a ribbon to add some details to my very simple card. The sentiment is from hÄngar and Wings. The die cut I have used to cut the out the image is from Spellbinders. I cut one of a lovely green paper as well that goes really well with the paper pad and then I cut it in half. It's not a full frame this way but the card looks a bit more dressed with a second layer to the image.

My first and messed up card is made with the same supplies but I have used an oval frame die instead of the square and I have used some black Nuvo drops as well as the Morning Dew and white ones. If you look carefully you will see the mess with the black drops. I coloured this one with my Promarkers and the papers are from the same pad as the other card. I have also used some paper flowers from my stash and added a few dew drops.

Anyway, I hope you come and play with us now that we have opened up our challenges to all other lovely markers out there.

Take care and do something that makes you happy!

Just for fun 2-2021

Morning and hello!
Hope you are doing fine and that they new year has started up well for you. Today I have another just for fun card to share with you. On New Years Day I shared a pink card with you and this is the second card with the lovely stamp set called Snöfolk from hÄnglar and Wings.

It comes in a set with a boy and a girl. There is also some sentiment stamps in the set and a snow lantern. I love how this card turned our as well just as the girly version of it. It is still Maja design papers, but from another paper pad. Sorry, I don't remember which one it is. Some of my pads has got mixed up in a big mess as they have fallen apart after using a few papers.

Anyway, this card have a cooler look to it even if I have pretty much used the same stuff on it to decorate it. This card have a charm instead of wooden snow flakes. There is a ribbon in silver and a border punch is used as well but pretty much the same and still different.

Still it's a pretty bad photo as the face looks strange and the darker colours show up like crazy on this one. It is not as bad IRL. I hope you like what you see and that you maybe take a little time to comment as well.

Take good care and do something that makes you smile today!

Digital image over at the Paper Shelter

Morning and hello!
I am back with my regular Paper Shelter challenge post. It has been a long nice break for us all but now are we ready to get back to our normal schedule. That means a new challenge every Wednesday over at the Paper Shelter challenge blog. A little heads up for you all is that we will soon have a DT-call there, sometime before the end of January will it go live. Keep your eyes open for it! But now to this weeks challenge.

We decided to take an easy start for this one, so our theme this week is "Digital image". In other words, use a digi on your creation.

I have used the fabby image called Warm Feelings. To me she looked a bit frozen so I kind of gave her a pair of tights to wear to those long socks. I couldn't bare to have her coloured without clothes and if you where her today you would understand what I mean. It's ice cold and snow mixed rain and terrible winds. So I gave her some more clothes. I have coloured with my Promarkers for this one.

I have paired the little lady up with some of my Maja design papers. This pad is called Vintage Frost Basics. They are totally lovely and I have had hard times using them up, but I have come to the decision that they are ment to be used, not to cuddle and hug... You know what I mean. As I am still in the mood for winter cards and well yes, even Christmas cards I went with a winter theme for this one. I fussy cut the image (I am so wishing I could afford to by a Cut and Scan) but at the moment I will not happen. So cutting on my own it is. I backed the image with some thin vellum that I had embossed and the put the image on multilayered circles from Crealies and PY Hobby.

After all that cutting it was easy to finish the card with some die cut snow flakes, might be from Marianne Design, but not 100% sure of that. I cut a lot of them at the same time and some time has passed since then. I have also used an old punch for some decoration on one of the panels. Some paper flowers and a die cut swirl. To finish it all up have I used my new favorite item for my cards: Nuvo Drops! I totally love them. They are so easy to use and they do stay in shape compared to other brands. I only have four colours yet, but I have more of them on my wish list.

As always you have the chance to win a gift voucher worth $30 if you play with the Paper Shelter brand. Playing with another brand gives you the chance of winning three digis of your choice.

I wish you all a great week! Do take some time and come and play with us and thank you for dropping by!

Just for fun 1-2021

Morning and hello!
Back for the first time this year with a card just because of my love for card making. I still have the feeling for Christmas cards as I love making them but I thought that I should start my just for fun 2021 with something else. So today I have a flower card to share with you!

This is one of my favourite images when it comes to flowers and I have coloured it in many different colours. Favourite has to be pink and yellow but this is also nice.

I believe the image is from Power Poppy, sadly I lost most of my files during early fall last years. Some are recovered some are not. But I look at it the bright side: I got a good clean out on my pc. And all important stuff like family photos are back again. A thumb up for that!

Ok, back to the card. I have coloured with Promarkers and some pens to that. I have just as always not managed to get a good photo. I really need to start dealing with that during this year. But still, I am happy getting out of bed some days. It will get better as soon as I have figured out both my camera and Photoshop. There is so much stuff to learn and by the time I have learned it's out of fashion how to speak.

The paper pad is from Pink Paisley I think, let's see... Whimsical Collection. A lovely paper pad with some gold foil added here and there. Some blue Nuvo drops and a blue ribbon with a bow is what gives the card some extra details.

Take good care every one and do something that fills your day with joy!

Birthdays over at Passion for Markers!

 Morning and hello!
It's a new year and a new challenge for you all over at Passion for Markers! Passion for Promarkers are now open for all kind of markers. Take a look at our challenge blog. We crafters are mixing and matching our markers a lot more than before and therefor did we decide to open up the challenge "a bit". That means that you can come and play with us even if you use Copics or any other brand.

We are starting the year with a simple challenge. Our theme is set to Birthdays. Should be nice and easy, right?

We are sponsored by Lee Holland which is offering one lucky winner 2 images of your choice.

I have used a sweet elephant image called Elephant with flowers. It's coloured with Promarkers and some pencils for a little more shadow. I must say it was hard to get this card together, not just because I have made tons of Christmas cards that are piling up in my craft room already, but I have not coloured in a long time. But most of all because I always have a hard time going from Christmas to anything else. It's always that way. I will have to stay up a whole night and start creating my birthday cards again.

I have paired the little Elephant with some old papers from Forever Friends called Pink Parfait. I hope to be able to use up some of the old stuff during the year coming around. I found some lovely sketches on Pinterest and used one of those. I needed it to kick start this card. I dug out an old punch from Martha Stewart and some paper flowers as well. Used a die from Magnolia for the swirly thing in the flower cluster and then some Nuvo drops in white and Morning Dew. I love these drops, unfortunately does my Maine Coon that as well. I managed to save the card. The cat? Well, I have some lovely white paw prints on my floor. LoL Still she gives me reasons to smile and I love it that she keeps me company. This wasn't as bad as it was when she walked in my palette of distress inks. Even if they don't get stuck that much. she had blue and yellow paws for a few weeks. I should have taken a photograph and saved.

Anyway, I hope that you come and play along with us and do take some time to relax!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to each and everyone!
I hope that this new, fresh year will be way better than the last one. But most of all do I wish that my pain eases and relatives stop their childish fights over things. There is one thing better than "stuff" and it's great and happy memories with near and dears. Ok Leaving that subject here and now. Focus on the good stuff!

Last year did I make about a ton of cards compared to the year before. I think I have about 50 or 60 that isn't shown her yet. I have plenty of time at home and not being able to sleep has given me time to craft even if it would have been better if I slept.

Anyway, I thought that I should start the new year with one of my latest cards and one of my favourite ones as well. You know when all things just work out better than in your mind and it still looks good when you look at it a week or two later, and you still feel proud of your work. This is one of these cards!

It is a hÄnglar and Wings image, yep again. I totally fell in love with their images last year. The are both sweet and charming! This one is called Snöfolk and it comes in a set with a boy and a girl. There is also some sentiment stamps in the set and a snow lantern.

I have paired this fabby image with one of the new paper pads by Maja Design. It's the smaller one called Winter is coming. It's a lovely winter paper pack in purple and pink. Totally fantastic! This one is image is coloured with my Promarkers and I have used plenty of die cut snow flakes of different brands to decorate the card. I have actually decorated the inside of the card as well but have not taken any pictures of it. Don't ask me why, maybe because I hardly ever do that? Well I have promised myself to try doing that more often but the cards get really heavy doing that, and that means more postage! :)

Together with the die cut snow flakes and the wooden ones from my stash is also some gem stone used to add a little extra bling to the card.

Anyway, I wish you the best of years and hope you find time to enjoy the good moments. Don't forget to be "here and now" from time to time. I will try to do that better this year.

Take care and do something that brings you joy!

Love n hugs
Marie

PS: Don't forget to visit Passion for Promarkers as we have some news from today and hope to see you all there! There is even a chance of winning a gift voucher so jump on over to the blog!
